Pikuniku!! Did not know it has a multiplayer mode, but your TAS of it was delightful. Thank you for sharing it here. Always great to see another modern game TASed. Yes vote!

Temp 480p30 encode: Link to video Alternative 184MB 60FPS streaming/downloadable Google Drive encode Great to see a finished TAS of this game, but it seems less optimized compared to this userfile. Still, might be good enough for a First Edition publication. I liked all the tricks you used. Yes vote!

I like the Mario Bros. graphical theme. A bit strange to have a speed-entertainment tradeoff in a run this short and hard to follow, but it shouldn't stop it from being published. No vote for entertainment though.

Looks like you had some good info on TASing the game in your submission text before. You should restore it so it can help the next person who decides to TAS this.

Very fast, and looked optimized. Appreciated the explanations in the submission text too. Yes vote.

Good job to all three of you. The level skip is a major find, and the pool level looked obviously glitchy even before I read what was going on. Short and sweet, yes vote.

I believe you meant to link to this bad movie for the second link. I've had syncing movies suddenly desync a couple times on the Mupen64plus core too. Once in Tigger's Honey Hunt when I was just playing back the movie, and several times in Daikatana during E1M3. Desyncs are an unfortunate though increasingly rare problem on non-waterboxed cores like Genplus-GX; you just have to do your best to make a movie that syncs for yourself and others.

I'm not seeing the delete button under Details either, on desktop or mobile. It's supposed to be there, per the last paragraph of Wiki: GamesHowTo, unless it's just hidden for Editors? Maybe PM Memory about it, and only if it's actually missing, you can report it as a bug.

So do we still need to care what "THE definitive default" USA version is called, and use that name for all other versions? Or maybe each version can now be called according to its release title (barring actual Japanese spelling)?
If I understood you right, this would change each movie's title to the name of the ROM it uses. I worry that this would negatively affect some games that are usually run on the Japanese version, like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but are much better known by their English title. The title, searchable on YouTube, would then become "N64 Zelda no Densetsu - Toki no Ocarina", which may not be as easily findable; although, it could work as long as the run comes up when the alias is searched for. Version-sensitive naming would, however, resolve confusion like I saw once in a TVC YouTube comment asking why a Famicom game TAS wasn't labeled with its (romanized) Japanese title. (As an aside, I wouldn't think Japanese viewers would be searching the romanized title anyway. On Nicovideo, titles of games are generally written in Japanese glyphs.)

Tough game, definitely requires quick reflexes. I noticed that 2-player mode is specifically mentioned on the Itch.io page:
I even hear something special happens if you bring a friend...
On the one hand, the run is more impressive when you reach each file with one player. On the other hand, it might be a better speed record if 2 players can move the cursor and file toward each other. It's not clear to me which is the more acceptable goal (though it is very late here and I'm headed to bed).

By pressing S, it's possible to skip every level in the game. However, I cannot do this in the run as it's already been done in a previous game and been rejected. That game in question is "Trials of the Wolf Clan: The Wolf Spirit".

also, do you think i should add the branch "no level skips" or not?
If this is the same as Wolf Clan where the level skip is a debug function, then it can't be published, which makes this the any%, or baseline branch. I would leave the branch empty. Also note that we don't use "no x glitch" anymore. For glitchy games, we now do the inverse: A branchless baseline and a much shorter "x" glitch branch.

Pretty cool platforming action. It's a shame about the sound, but maybe a second encode could be made with SFX on, since it's a few frames here and there. I will say that watching Juni move around silently gave me a sense of flow, only interrupted by the end-level score tally. Though most viewers might prefer to play music while watching it.

Ohh yes! I've been hoping we'd see a TAS of this game in this category. Nicely done, I liked all the little tricks you described to make it faster like activating the first Squirts and coming back with the Repeater before they spawned. Yes vote!

I'm happy to see an optimized run of this category! Thanks for the detailed notes, it answered every question I had about it. I also liked the entertainment like when you imitated Flappy Bird, around 2:06. I should note that the old TAS you referenced was by Tee-N-Tee; I just made an encode of it. I should have been more clear about that.

Awesome job on this! I always enjoy racing game TASes, and this one was full of fun skips. Some of the play looked slightly unoptimized, but I don't see it as a big deal due to the complexity of the game. Voting Yes, and welcome to TASVideos!

Entertaining hack, liked all the bosses and music from other games. Kaizo blocks in Cheatman's stage was a funny addition. And very cool that Puresabe helped make this. Nice skip in Bomberman's stage, and your movement was impressive in many places, including Airman and Wily 1 (Light 1?) stages. Yes vote!

It's here! Well done EZ, lots of variety and glitches.
The only penguin section in the game, which is a shame because the penguins are the best part of Madagascar
There really should've been more penguin levels. Something like Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions but with Skipper sliding around, throwing things and clipping OoB the whole time would've been hilarious to watch.

Welcome back, arandomgameTASer! Awesome glitchy run with varied movement, and the backdash really quickened the pace. Looking forward to your future runs and eventually hopefully Pirate's Curse! Voted Yes.

using desmume 0.9.10 for recording videos but.. the resolusion in (256x384) and i want to record in hd Anyone help me!!!!!!!! , What i do?
Hi Darwen. You can only record the TAS in 256x384 resolution from desmume. You will have to upscale the video in another program. If rearranging the screens is too hard for you, you can upscale by 5x to get 1280x1920, which will appear on YouTube in HD. Try installing Lagarith to record the TAS from desmume. Then load the video in VirtualDub. Go to Videos>Filters. "Add" the resize filter. Under Relative, type 500 x 500. For Filter mode, choose Nearest neighbor. Click OK, then OK again. Then File>Save as AVI. It will save an HD video. The final video file will be very large, so you may need to compress it with Handbrake before uploading to YouTube. To my knowledge, this is not how a TASVideos encode is done, but it should work for your use case.

Well done saving those ~2 seconds! You're right that loading times don't matter when the gameplay is faster. Do you plan to continue your TAS? Also, could you post the Jet movie file or a video of it, for curiosity's sake?

Nice surprise to see TTYD on the Workbench again. Thanks for that. And the route is an enjoyable throwback to the early TASes of this game. "What ticking?" -Malleo Reasonably optimized, especially for your first. I think for a run of this length, it's okay not to have Fence or Kroop Skip, but an updated run should include them. It's up to the judge to decide, though. I have a few questions: 1. Once you start the second timer in Ch. 2, why do you exit the room and come back? Is it to cancel a stored jump? 2. Why is Poshley Sanctum already unlocked after you beat Cortez? Does it have to do with the game state/Ultra Hammer Early?

What a cool hack! I like all the added (and modified) levels and the new ending. Thanks for introducing us to this. Your movement was clean and the ladder glitch is always fun to see. Voted Yes.
