Anyone else selected sex over internet without thinking, then was struck by a crushing claustrophobic feeling over the thought of never being able to use the internet again and changed the selection?

Yeah, and everything else in the game is taken so acurately from the movie so of course they had to make the building have the correct amount of stairs :)

For the movie description it should be noted that it was actually hero of the day who came up with the new route, though Taco and Kriole might have tweaked it.

Yes. Now I'm pretty sure they didn't work for 4 hours every day on average, so I don't know how plausible 1000000+ rerecords is, but one rerecord every 20 seconds would be very little for me at least (while it probably wouldn't for others, it all depends on how you work).

All of my closets friends know that I make TASes, and a few of them find find the concept pretty interesting (though mostly they are puzzled over how I can find it fun to actually do). I don't really know anyone else who watches a lot of TASes though, and I rarely talk about it with someone. The only time I might bring it up is if I know someone really likes a game that has an impressive TAS, like "hey, you know Chrono Trigger can be beating in less than 30 minutes", which is also almost the only time I might watch a TAS with someone else (the only other time would be if someone was curious to see some of my work, which happens).

Maybe. But this route could very well be faster for ingame time too, maybe with the addition of another PB pack for mother brain, so I'm not sure. But I'm pretty sure no one will ever do another ingame run (at least not with the intention of getting it published), since the final ingame clock would be the same, and the route could end up pretty much the same as well runinig both purposes for the ingame run (having a lower final clock and different route with more uppgrades).
But I'm fine with this obsoleting the ingame run, even though I think that route is more entertaining (and it'll take longer for me to aquire expert player rank which is the most important thing of all on this site!!!)

*Yawn* This movie was 4 frames behind my glitched any% run after the Torizo, voting no.
Joking aside though, it's about damn time the run got finished :p
And this is some fine work here. The optimization shines through very clearly, the new route is definitely more entertaining than the last, there is plenty of new interesting room strategies, and really good effort was put in during the waiting sequences.
So I vote yes and will give it a 9/9 or something along those lines when it is published.

No, I'm quite sure I tested all the relevant slopes to see if they where faster or not. There are only two I didn't end up using in the run that could have saved time (around frame 19300), but in that case I had to go far to the left in order to trigger an enemy to start moving (otherwise I would have had to hit it on my way down, which would have slowed me down significantly).
At every point that I bounced on an enemy on my way down it was either unavoidable or faster than to avoid it, though it sometimes does seem like it should have been possible to do so. In particular the fish at ~18700 seems avoidable, but I can't go over it, because it is too close to the roof at that point, and I can't go under it, because by the time I'm low enough it is right above the cat (and the gap between the two is to small to slip through). Other than that the physics underwater are just really awkward, and everything seems to look pretty unoptimized no matter what you do.
If there was anything else in particular besides the things I mentioned bring them up, so I can look over it :)

In my opinion The Nostalgia Critic is superior to the AVGN (whose work I still do enjoy quite a bit though). Partly because he makes videos more often (once a week), partly because I can often relate more to his work and overall I just think he does his whole act better (and doesn't overdo stuff as often).
The site as a whole hosts a lot of other good stuff as well, like The Spoony One, who is probably me favorite "internet critic" (he has his own site too though).

I think it is perfectly reasonable to keep a discovery to yourself until you finish your run, unless it would negatively affect another run.
The surprise factor is a big part of what makes TASes (and regular speedruns as well of course) entertaining, so keeping stuff secret is naturally something you want to do in order to make your movie have as much of an impact as possible. Still, I can only think of one TAser who has ever kept something secret when it would have helped another runner (Saturn).

Aw dang :(
Anyway, congratulations team 3!
Out of interest I made level to level comparison of the two finished runs.
Level 1 - Team 2 is 100 frames faster
Boss 1 - Team 3 is 184 frames faster
Level 2 - Team 3 is 241 frames faster
Boss 2 - Team 2 is 70 frames faster
Level 3 - Team 3 is 515 frames faster
Boss 3 - Team 2 is 49 frames faster
Level 4 - Team 2 is 36 frames faster
Boss 4 - Team 2 is 76 frames faster
Level 5 - Team 2 is 72 frames faster
Boss 5 - Team 2 is 27 frames faster
Level 6 - Team 3 is 394 frames faster. What kind of bullshit imba weaponry is this I see? We had you by the ass where it not for this! Well not really but still!!!
Boss 6 - Team 3 is 562 frames faster
Team 3 is 1211 frames faster.
A a tightly planned and optimized run would probably get well below 11 minutes (and would be awesome to see).

Why? It's not like you can't ignore the comments. Better there be a hundred stupid comments to every useful one than none at all.
EDIT: And I really liked the video, the intro was cool and most of the clips where great. If the purpose of the video is to reach a lot of people though, there should probably be a lot more tags added to it (like all the relevant game and author names).

Probably some of the setups for the big tosses/mega damageboosts, but I think those only look sloppy (without necessarily being so) because the setup sometimes looks weird.
I vote yes, because the movie was very cool, and a lot more entertaining than the last one, as well as being faster.
