Quite a challenge, I must admit. But it is findable.
Thanks. MOD EDIT: I need to reread the site rules!

What exactly does the circle button (draw weapon)? Just an animation? And what is game speed in options?

Agreed with CoolKirby. You'd better use TAS Input for optimization and your movement must look like geometry lines without extra strafing or "reangeling". By the way, knowing the movement mechanics of most 3D Shooters, it is faster to run and strafe at the same time? Jumping? Did you check this?

Great work! Unfortunately, TASing FPShooters is really difficult, so you've already done the big work. It's easier to TAS CoD4 using timescale command (needed to play each map as a developer). This time, you won't spend much time on making the TAS itself, but every map can be improved. A TAS using timescale looks like that (I guess you know about this video): https://youtu.be/sT3GwJnTssE By the way, you've beated him in training room.

Nice run, maybe we'll see the SegaCD version next with more animal beating.
Well, actuaĺly SegaCD run is done, but I know the giant improvement and will redo it again soon. https://youtu.be/8__altBSe-k https://youtu.be/UJBfSBxCujE It was done after watching AVGN's episode about Sega CD. I spent about 4 hours on making it. And as a result, I didn't plan the optimal walkthrough and didn't check the control.

Wow! Hard Relay Cat Mario! I'm sure that this world was tested in Hourglass before uploading the game to the internet. Yes vote! BTW, I'm confused with the paragraph "Addresses". You can run Windows games in Bizhawk?

I'll try. Give me a link!

Agreed with the people above. Also, are you sure that it's faster to kill enemies with your sword when you had a pistol (before taking a shotgun)? And why did you kill small spiders? You could just jump over them. Fall downs also can be improved. However, the run itself looks very cool. Voting Yes, but you should improve your TAS.

If you use Nightmare difficulty, you may won't manage to perform some tricks which can seriously, according to TAS, decrease the time. Let's take look at Realm map, (4:00 in published video). With Nightmare difficulty, Hell Knights will attack Doomguy so often and will take more time to go outside the lift area. Also it's more difficult to manipulate RNG (excepting the high damage from Doomguy). The same effect does the -fast command, but enemies won't respawn after the death.

Anyway, I don't have particular plans to continue the TAS (sorry Dimon12321), mostly just that the game caught my attention for a moment.
(I read all your comments in this thread) Nothing to worry about if you won't make the whole TAS. I used to TAS this game when I was bored and I didn't spend much time (2-3 hours). Racing is the easiest genre for TASing, but in most games like that, any TAS can be improved. Hope my comment to your WIP was useful.

Hey people! Don't you think that TASing SMB goes crazy? In my opinion, we don't have to accept this game with objectives like that. Let's submit "Jumps only", "Maximum score", "Minimum buttons pressed" and so on. Alex, why do you do that? Just to have another published movie?

I put everything in the folder with prboom+. All I got is output.ogg file.

How to do the video capture in PrBoom+? If I do everything like usage.txt says (write -timedemo demoname -viddump filename in the target line), the program just fast forwards my playback and shows the results at the end. I can't find the video anywhere.
You also need to download oggenc, x264 and mkvmerge. From usage.txt: oggenc2 http://www.rarewares.org/ogg-oggenc.php x264 http://x264.nl/ mkvmerge http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/
I did it. When I start each of this... files, a window appears like "cmd" (command line) and disappears immediately. Did I do everything correctly? PrBoom+ doesn't even say that something is missing. BTW, emulators dump the video just fine. If needed, I downloaded: Oggenc2.87 using libVorbis v1.3.5 - Generic X264 - Binaries - Win32 - x264-10b-r2538-121396c.exe and x264-r2538-121396c.exe mkvtoolnix-7.9.0.7z for Windows (https://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/downloads.html#windows).

Each TAS Editor can edit only one input. I expect you don't have a large monitor to accommodate 2 FCEUX windows and 2 TAS Editor windows.

This idea is stupid! For me, it's better to get to round 20±3 and open all the areas in Kino; collect from the box some the most useful/useless weapons and show what they can do; use only knife when zombies run from all directions; shoot from the hip from MP-40 and, with the help of TAS Input, aim all the bullets straight into zombies' heads. In general, make the real TAS! But, first of all, we need a player, who is really going to make sth like that! That will be so difficult.

Never heard of something like that. You can open another FCEUX window and use different savestates for comparison. For me, it's better to do a single run and then analyse, improve etc or at least do the second run if you really need it.

Which .wads are acceptable for publication? Do you agree with accepting megawads which are provided in this thread: http://www.doomworld.com/vb/doom-speed-demos/18410-welcome-to-the-demos-forum-includes-prboom-plus-usage-info/ There are also some info about PrBoom+ usage.

Do this: In PrBoom+: -iwad Doom2.wad -complevel 2 -warp 1 -skill 4 -record doom2m1(or whatever you like) Record a few sec, then quit. Now you can load your demo with XDRE. If you want to continue recording in PrB+ use this: -iwad Doom2.wad -complevel 2 -recordfromto doom2m1a doom2m1b Use "join" key to continue playing(options-setup-key bindings-demos).
Thanks! What will be if I omit -complevel command? I'd like to try other wads and wads based on Doom 1.
