You know, I am not sure why I went that route. I was mostly following the route the old TAS used. I plan on redoing this game by doing all stages rather than the only necessary stages. I’ll be using this route rather than what I did before. Thanks for showing it.

As what Spike has said, PCSX requires rsyncing in order to get the best quality possible. If a publisher were to dump it right now, there would be major audio issues throughout the TAS, and the resync project can take a bit of time to do. So don't expect it any time soon, you're more likely to watch a TAS of this game if someone creates an improvement on BizHawk.

You’re right, it does defeat the purpose of the bug. And I’m almost certain you can reach the teleporter room if you didn’t do the save bug and just entered it the normal way by just starting your save file from where you left off.

This kind of movie doesn’t really belong on the main site. It’s not like with the last movie I participated in where you could take progress from a different character and trick the game into giving you full stats without needing to finish the game first. All this feels like is actually taking an already completed game and just copying the file over. It made more sense to do this glitch with with the other characters, but it makes less sense to do it here. You might as well just start your TAS in the save file where you last saved before Labs, because the only difference I see is how the save room gets glitched out. Either way I don’t see much use in a movie like this being published on the site, no vote.

So Strider 2 has a secret level you can unlock if you have a save file of the original Strider in the same memory card. The game actually comes with disks of both Strider 1 and 2, and by completing a game on the Strider 1 disk and saving it into the memory card, you can have access to a prologue stage. I don't know if bizhawk allows the user to load save data from other games or if this type of thing falls under sram anchoring. I also don't know if this type of case is a thing for any other PSX TAS on the site. Would something like this be allowed?
