you dont get high enough there.
because of how death works on those platforms, the earliest you can jump before the kill box gets you, you wont be able to reach it.
since I can avoid it on the other side, I can jump on the platform and jump away before the kill box can get to me.

so even though it only saves 11 frames when in theory it should have saved 15 if I added two of your improvement points, it's very likely that the 4 frames lost was due to a framerule in the stage 3 boss, and I cant for the life of me figure out why this is. but if it wasnt for the 4 frame improvement to stage 6, this would have only been a 7 frame improvement.
but I'm happy with this now.

When do you think we can start testing out tasing on it? I’d like to get an early start on a tas for this core. (Will definitely make adjustments to the movie with each update, until 2.4 is released)

First off, King’s Bounty has an entertainment rating of 6.2, which is not even close to what stars usually get. It also is so incredibly short to the point where you cant even tell what happened, and not in a “how did they do that cool trick” way, I mean a “I couldn’t see what happened at all” way.
Second, the Harmony of Dissonance tas you linked barely shows any content of the game, and while that movie has an entertainment rating of 8, the “all furniture, best ending” tas has 8.8, which is way higher and shows off more game content. THAT should get starred instead of a 22 second movie that no one is going to understand. Not only that but the other GBA Castlevania game that is already starred and recommend for newcomers is right now the highest in entertainment rating on the site, there is no way a 22 second movie is going to replace that star and reccomended teir.

The stage 2 boss has a really weird desync. I saved 4 frames on it at one point and the following room synced just fine, but as soon as the last room in stage 3 was done I had lost those 4 frames for no reason. I dont know if there was some sort of frame rule I’m missing here but it’s really tricky to figure out.
I do think the other time saves you mentioned can be doable. I’ll see if I can look at them. However understand that this weekend is a bit busy for me so I dont know when to expect to finish it.
Thank you for looking into this. And I understand how difficult it is to compare to gens.

I agree with spike here.
If you dont do research on the game in question (like wondering why it has such a slow boot up process) then you obviously wont know how to speedrun it, let alone tas it.
Try to actually learn the game before you put out submissions on it.
