I see it's pretty much the same kind of run, but in different stages and in 4 minutes instead of 40. I think this run is better than your other run because of that, but sadly, I have to vote Meh for another time. Once again, you've made a great work, but I still find this game boring to watch. Sorry.

Thanks for all of that information, FractalFusion. I've corrected what I could correct in the title, but what I need now is a decent translation for "This is a tool-assisted speedrun, played in an emulator with rerecording and slowing down abilities." (That would be my more detailed description.) As for the translations inside the encode, these mistakes make me feel that I've effectively uploaded too fast, making me look like a dumbass in front of Nico users. Would it be a good idea to delete my encode, so I reencode it with the right translation? Or would it be a better idea to simply correct the text for my next encodes? EDIT: Anyway, I had the stupid decision to delete the 4th part because of that, and despite the fact I've reuploaded it, I'm 493rd in the line, and it keeps going up and down. It will take forever before my 4th part comes up. How stupid I was! EDIT: Here's the stuff in question. 現在エンコードの順番待ち中です。 あなたの順番 516 人目くらい あなたの前にプレミアム会員が 165 人、一般会員が 350 人待っています。 EDIT: This problem is solved now. Part 4 is back.

Google Translate. lol. Yeah, I find this more appropriate. I'm going to edit htis.

So yeah, so far I've uploaded Vykan's TAS to Nico. I had to break it in 4 parts because of its 40 MB size limit. Part 1: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm15049125 Part 2: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm15049243 Part 3: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm15049331 Part 4: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm15054301 I think I've made a good choice to localize my encodes for Japan. The first part has already been seen more than a hundred times in less than half an hour.

I'll make the standard encode for both this site and NicoVideo.

Thanks to ALAKTORN and FractalFusion for your translations and corrections! I'll encode #3214: Vykan12's GBA Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones in 1:08:51.20 for Nico, as requested by Vykan. I guess it'll have to be made in multiple parts due to the 40 MB size limit.

I did what you said, and it was a great idea! I got a couple translations from a member there. They look better than Google Translate IMO. What do you think?

Many NicoVideo users have uploaded TASes in this site without permission for a long time. So almost TASes in this site have already been uploaded in NicoVideo. (Exept unpopular game, unreleased game in Japan etc.) Uploading two or more same videos is disliked in NicoVideo. So perhaps, you shouldn't upload old TASes.
Thanks for the info about these users. Of course, like every video streaming website, people should dislike duplicate videos. So I won't consider old TASes for NicoVideo. Also, I will probably upload to NicoVideo before everything else because of that.

Surprised Mister Epic is surprised.

By the way, adding "TAS" to head of title is unspoken rule in NicoVideo when you upload TAS. (For example, Arcade Metal Slug 4 (World) in 18:04.78 by x2poet -> TAS Arcade Metal Slug 4 (World) in 18:04.78 by x2poet)
That's what I've planned to do. Thanks for this info.

Here is NicoVideo encode spec. It may help you. limit size: 40MB, *100MB max bit rate: 600Kbps, *no limit max resolution: 800x600, *no limit recommended resolution: 512x384 (4:3), 640x360 or 640x384 (16:9) max size per an account: 1GB, *1GB plus 1GB per a month handling file type: avi, mpg, wmv, flv, mp4 etc. recommended file type: mp4 * means premium account. (¥525 per a month)
These limits for a free account are pretty low. 515 yens a month means 6$ a month for me, which is pretty cheap. I may subscribe to this, if they can take my credit card. I'll think about this.

About Mister Epic's description. It is very easy English, so I think it's no problem even if you use this description in English.
I thought of translating my encoding logo and my subtitles so I show NicoVideo users that we care about them. I've also added a notice in my encoding logo to say that our website is in English and there's a Japanese forum. I will even translate these stuff in French for Dailymotion for the same reason (and this is my main language), since this website is mainly in French and has mainly a French community (to be honest, I'll upload one in French, just to try). I'm not saying that uploading to these sites in English means we don't care about them. In fact, simply uploading stuff there shows that. What I mean, is that by localizing our encodes and by adding a note to tell them there's a forum for their language, it would probably amplify that "we care about them" effect. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Should the subs be Japanese too? Could you give us an example of how they should look? Perhaps you could provide a template script we should use for this? Feel free to work with the Hybrid Encode Script.
Yeah, I'm planning to translate the subtitles as well. By the way, I've asked about the translations here.

Yeah, I can change the text easily. I've already did the correction you've suggested to me in that GIF animation. I think I'll try to find someone who can speak Japanese well before I encode. Anyone can speak Japanese or knows someone here who can speak Japanese? EDIT: Yeah, I see some Japanese members. Maybe I should ask in the Japanese forum.

I don't think there's a maximum resolution, but I don't think we can upload HD encodes there, since there's a 100 MB file size limit. I know they support MP4 (they also recommend it), but I don't know if they support MKV. I don't know about 60 fps support as well. By the way, I think my logo looks badass in Japanese. It says pretty much the same thing as the English version, but I've added two smaller lines to tell japanese viewers that the website is in English and there's a Japanese forum available.

Also, you may want to (privately) share the account info with all encoders - for nicovideo, it may be better to have all videos under one account. I'm not sure why I think that... just a thought.
I think I'll make the official TASVideos NicoVideo account instead. What do you think?

I'm thinking of making encodes specifically for NicoVideo, to expand my encodes to japanese audience. Like we did for ScrewAttack, my first upload will be a test or something like that. I'm thinking of uploading #3223: X2poet's Arcade Metal Slug 4 in 18:04.78 first. I made my account and I know what are their technical restrictions and where to upload. But my main concern is the translation of my written content, such as my logo and my subtitles. I've translated stuff with Google Translate. I'm sure that anyone who knows how to speak Japanese would know a better translation than these. If so, please reply with them. Thanks. Actual control. I don't think LUA can give me any help for controling 2 players
Nice dual weilding! I've seen a bit of adelikat in the process of TASing [1613] Arcade The Simpsons "4 players" by adelikat & DarkKobold in 13:37.73 during a live stream. He was using an LUA script that let him record one character's actions, and then go back to record another character's actions, and so on, so he could control four players at a time. But the downside is that you have to know how to program LUA if you want to do such a thing.

Here, have an encode. For the moment, it's streamable on RadioKJ and YouTube. It's also downloadable here or here (88.1 MB). It will be available later on Dailymotion. I'm also going to vote Yes on this run. I'm still liking this "army of two" thing you're making with the Metal Slug series. I have a question. To control two players, did you make an LUA script like they did for that Simpsons movie to control each player alternatively, or were you actually controlling both players at the same time?

I ain't doing it, but here's an idea. How about a tri-game TAS playaround on three fighting games that look a lot like each other? What I mean by such games is: X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom. I know the first and the last are emulable in FBA, and I'm sure the second is too (but I haven't tested it). I mean, go look at gameplay videos for each game, and you'll see how near-looking they are. The idea is to pick the same characters and to do the same combos in all of these games, at the same time, beating different opponents. I know there are surely balance difference in each of these games, but the movesets are the same, so I'm not expecting each opponent to be beaten at the exact same time, but close. So... what do you think? Is it possible and is it a good idea?

I'm guessing it's possible to apply this to only some parts of the encode?
I think so.
video = AVISource("video.avi")
part1 = video.Trim(0,499).ChangeFPS(video.FrameRate / 2)
part2 = video.Trim(500,1000).TASBlend()
last = part1 + part 2
