i voted yes, even though i disliked the lack of music and the usage of the password glitch to skip content you didn't complete, but i understand it was made to keep the run shorter and it might look more appealing/entertaining to our viewers.I was expecting bit byte and vile fights with no saber at all,as it is expected of going straight to the final stages.

my god, if you could put all these thing on one playaround, specially the second hotaru versus marco rodriguez,it would be amazing i don't get what happenened at the volume 2 stage, the second part he seems to be testing boss version of kain the survival mode would be good for speed, and gives bonuses in the middle of the fight, but the arcade will let you do all the tricks you're showing us

Bizhawk installer doesn't run in my pc/potato,just like FBA-rr crashes all the time randomly with its guru meditations and fatal runtime errors ,which is why i gave up on both emulator and decided to try something at an emulator which runs with no problems. Also, since the emulator is accepted but not prefered,i'd rather use the one i can instead of going out of my way just to use the one you guys use as well. TL;DR:I don't understand what should BIOS should I use just to be safe, since you're suggesting to change emulators.

it uses 0 day glitch,so they're having trouble finding a place where it can save time, because it's a very limited glitch

fatal fury 1 and fatal fury 3(this game has many infinite combo characters),if the emulator could stop doing guru meditations and runtime errors at loading and frame advancing,i'd do it myself.

This is the first fatal fury game, made simultaneosly to sf2,so they only knew sf1 at the development. It only has 3 playable chars:the brothers Terry and Andy Bogard, and Joe Higashi, their friend. The rest are CPU-only chars which you fight against. ^^ There are two basic animations for most of the normal attacks your character can perform. The game has a weird system on how it alternates between one and the other. To start with, you have what is called the Base attacks. These attacks are your basic normals. The Alternates are the maneuvers that occur when certain conditions are fulfilled and thus replace your Base attacks. In Fatal Fury, when you land two successful (not blocked) normal attacks at the same range (ie. close/a step away/far), your next normal attack will become the Alternate animation. If this misses or is blocked, you will once again be back to square one with your Base attack. If it hits, the next hit will be a Base attack with one difference. If this Base attacks strikes successfully again, the next move becomes the Alternate. It goes back and forth until one of the attacks misses or is blocked. There is one other way that this chain can occur. If you land one successful attack at a certain range, let's say far, and then land another successful attack at a different range, such as close...you can start that chain by landing another successful attack at the far range. Landing successful hits at these alternating distances will continue the chain. Once broken or blocked/missed, the chain will end. There is a Base and Alternate section for each character in their movelist. The letter B is placed by the base normal. Underneath will be the Alternate normal and it will be marked with an A. If no alternate is available for that Base normal, it will be marked as so. ~~ Andy has the fastest special move but it's purely horizontal and many fighters enjoy jumping. tung fu rue:burn knuckle crack shoot in this order minimized his super mode to be taken down by just one crack shoot, the first part can be changed for normal moves i don't have the exact damage values but i have pictures comparing and i still don't know how to resume movie recording in FBA-rr,i'd appreciate help in this because i can't start TASing until i have a way to do this. power wave, knee, footdive, crack shoot, shoryudan, hishoken, rising tackle all activate super mode for tung fu rue.all these moves are either slow or have bad hitboxes despite their strength putting tung in super mode. Fastest round seen yet was against raiden with 84,i've seen 78 against billy and 76 against hwa jai. billy kane can be infinitely comboed with a throw, but for speed, you actually need him to keep his pole so he won't go into that defense mode. I think the site is an archive to every game's fastest possible completion with no tradeoffs made, with a secondary goal of entertainment. It's why we implemented the Vault section in the first place and why we got more runs from games that might not look as interesting to the general audience, but had a community behind it.(i'll never forget how the megaman battle chip challenge run was once rejected because of that) i have to admit i'm not a fan of a lot the vault content but that's why it's here,so other people who are not me can find their favorite obscure games fastest completions.

i don't think the dunning kruger works by extreme idiocy only,i'm quite sure the author works with a scale of knowledge in which everybody is suffering at some point of the learning curve from these effects, until they start to show the other effects too and less of the "incompetence related" effects. i also believe the situation in which people are unfamiliar with speedrunning tricks or the tools used in tasing is a quite common form of "idiocy" of the gamer public,i have shitloads of gamer friends who consider themselves hardcore or at the very least non casual and still get baffled by things like clipping/damage boosting/tricks that call 2 actions at the same time for unexpected results.

i'd like to mention the fact that a lot of the glitched speedruns are actually much more skill intensive than the regular routed ones, zelda oot is quite the show for this, since all the tricks are pretty difficult, culminating in the 1-frame warps that are used normally by the players.Any dumbass can beat the game regularly, while the tricks are hard and unforgiving, some of them requiring limited resources and each mistake being one unit of the resource less. ~~ Viewers complain anyway regardless of the execution of the run they're watching,it's similar to when you play on a fighting games and there are always a few people complaining about cheap characters, moves or tatics. If it's so braindead to do this or that, why don't they do it instead? They can't,they only know how to complain.I think if we cater to this individuals, then tasvideos will fail.Their mindset is a failing one.
Dunning and Kruger proposed that, for a given skill, incompetent people will:[4] fail to recognize their own lack of skill fail to recognize the extent of their inadequacy fail to accurately gauge skill in others recognize and acknowledge their own lack of skill only after they are exposed to training for that skill
how can you show extreme skill to the unskilled?only by education

personally,i think we should accept one of these situations: have the tuner tas with its custom emulator features accepted or stimulate our TASers to make a tunerless run and simply stop considering the tuner as a need/option for any% until it's possible to replay tuner TASes let's face it,most of the player didn't have gba and cables to use the feature and will not actually miss it,this is a speedrun luxury. (i had the gba and cables to use it but still i wonder how fair it is to have the external helped run to be the main category instead of the one with the basic features link has acess too)
