the lack of music and other sound abuses are really ok in short runs, but pokemon for example never used the infamous red health sound to save time.

look, you asked for an opinion and you got it,the odds are against you with this specific game choice, since there isn't that much room to show "ultimate godly perfect" gameplay. But you can try to prove the community wrong by tasing and showing it to the public,so it's up to you. I'm TASing a relatively unknown and bad fighting game too with speed as an objective,so i get you when you say the judging may be unfair but i believe in the final product and will try again(i've already had my first justice league tas rejected,i'm polishing it a lot more to have a chance on the vault's rules)

if you're going to bring tumblr, terrorism and and anecdotal evidence, the conversation will be pretty low quality. Gender equal countries have MORE women in women-centric fields.Lower income situations presses women to apply for STEM fields,i'm trying to find the exact study about it but for now, some of these will suffice. http://eandt.theiet.org/news/2015/jan/microsoft-stem-report.cfm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiJVJ5QRRUE http://www.universityaffairs.ca/opinion/in-my-opinion/male-female-imbalance-in-stem-comes-down-to-economics/ http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0153857 http://newsrescue.com/13-muslim-countries-produce-higher-percentage-women-science-graduates-than-united-states-unesco-report/ this last one is the big proof http://www.soc.ucsb.edu/faculty/mariacharles/documents/WhatGenderisScience.pdf

are there no DS emulators to simulate trades?you could use pokesav between your own games to transfer the poke "without cheating",it's technically cheating but you're only giving yourself what you should be able to do.

Thanks. You've mentioned steam and other things as well though. But TASing is a really time consuming task, so it's not like other hobbies. I guess you could relate TASing as a hobby to sewing, since they are both hobbies people have and both take a shitload of time. So with either of these types of tasks, how do you really do TASing or sewing or other tasks that by default take a lot of time to complete something, "in moderation?" Obviously there are different methods that people use, but what is your best method specifically for TASing? Is it a good idea to make a to do list every day and once everything on that list is done, TAS for the rest of the day, or something like that?
i understand mmo games and tasing may have a more consuming nature but the trick is the same, you either have no TAS at all and stick with the more "time safe/no compulsion" activities or learn to make it in short bursts, only after doing all productive things possible. Currently,i'm TASing in short bursts after i've done the daily possible part of my college's final paper, but what i really wanted to do was to play dota2 the whole fucking day. However,i'm pretty sure i cannot play short bursts of dota2,i guess to me dota2 is like TASing to you. This video is me in dota2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSNsERJl1OE It's not about the activity but the nature of it,if you can control,do it.TASing is like this to me.If you can't,get rid of it until you're done with what you have to do.TASing seems to be like this for you, so i'd say byebye to TASing until you can do it as much as you want(vacation) or you no longer feel the compulsion. Also,it will show your parents you recognize your flaws and is responsible enough to do what it takes to improve your attainment of the goals set.I can tell you, when i'm done with my paper, satan or god himself wouldn't be able to stop me from doing what i want. But right now,i'm not gonna do it.

Your father uses a lot of harsh words,in a sense he is right, but what he proposes with these harsh words is nonsense. He's probably concerned about your actual prospects in life, like you seem to understand.TASing like any other safe hobby is nice to do,and while useless on itself, the dedication, study and work you put on it should be things you take to your life to apply in other areas.Games don't matter, neither do sports or arts. But the tangential learning from these should be valid, and ocasionally, you can turn one of these into a job/business. Moving to the second topic,it was also a fucking struggle for me in high school to get the job done too.I too was an average student, and would fail 1 to 3 subject each semester. My willpower was shitty and it's a little better right now,but ironically, the way I solved my situation is by "being my own parent". If you're an uncontrollable shithead like I was, do it yourself what your father wants to do.Admit you're lacking willpower and solve the situation by removing all distractions, relocating all the distractions possible. This means uninstalling games, steam or other app clients, consoles, putting them on their respective boxes, removing facebook feed activity from all your friends.Turn the undesirable behavior impossible or hard-to-do.Obviously,you could redo all this shit, but it should take time to sabotage yourself. The limit is what you can do for fun in a controlled and responsible way.I can't watch TV for freaking hours so i wouldn't cut the TV,but only know what you do as a compulsion and what you don't. Ok,now you've done it but you probably still feel the need to be a shithead.Well, these things ,in the present moment, are entrenched in your behavior but after a long time without them, will cease to be a compulsion. When you no longer feel them as a compulsion,it will be a good sign.Should you reinstall your pastimes when you feel good about them? NOOOOOOOOOOOO. Make a list of what you need to get done.Until you get them done, it ain't enough. If you get the things done, you can reinstall if you want to.But whenever you realize you have something to do and you're being retarded;not doing these tasks, that's when the fun stuff has to go. Raising psychic and physical costs for bad behavior is definitely a way to go.Realizing you want to do something with your life is half the battle,it's a great sign you're concerned.

it has begun, opponents are instablocking my special moves from the first frame of stun animation,so i do weird things to make sure the mashing punch hits them,i'm constantly trying the other special moves but no breach has been found in this behavior has been found, nor crossing up the opponents made any difference(normal and shoryuken isn't faster the hit freeze and time it takes to finish the receival of damage and the shoryuken itself don't collaborate) http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/31418712211370083 goes up to super1 EDIT: up to batman2 complete, really wished somebody else would take a look and comment on it. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/31442636078829420 notes in the wip: 11645-death by teleportweak and missedpunch mashpunch,i couldn't whiff any other punch or he would have blocked,i would like to know more about this rng,but apparently it is connected to doing a special move in the start of the stun animation what causes the enemy to block. blockin a laser has so much blockstun i prefered to get HardPunched in the faced at the start of the round,i even walked forward a few frames to manipulate the laser but still it's too much. 13176-first frame after "fight" 13267-perfect limit my hard kick barely hit batman, getting hit from that shitty but elusive special kick from batman was the best compared to normals that would put me out of combo range,a projectile, special moves who don't put batman in combo range and take time to execute(downward kick and batgrapple),i also couldn't neutral jump or i would have my back against him at the end of the special move 13695-walk back jump whiff punch mashpunch KO,had to optimize a lot because jumpin at different times gave different ko frames, jumpin just a little later than asap was the best,it could vary from 10 to 20 frames more! 14590-first frame 14681-perfect limit(taking damage and recovering from it until this frame saves time) 15112-whiffed jump punch mashpunch KO,got 1 to 8 frames higher with other jump timings, whiffin normals on the floor and other actions didn't stop batman from blocking NEW EDIT: the video from the last wip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcvCoyT4fxg&feature=youtu.be

These 3 points + the massive amounts of online content nowdays makes me actually wonder how the hell will future generations play back old (this decade) games. Even if say people somehow make private servers, and somehow get all the patches/microtransaction via hacks, how will that solve the problem of multiplayer needing other people? While some popular games might have tons of people on the servers, obscure games are going to be near impossible to have an "authentic" multiplayer experience :|
Servers shutting down is actually a problem with some relatively recent games (and a common cause for users getting upset). For some reason many game developers don't want to support user-controlled servers, and want to have a tight grip on that part, and will thus maintain their own servers. And when they decide to shut them down... well, if the game is multiplayer-only, you are left with a useless disc.
There isn't much to be done, i mean, you can hack and host your own private server if you can,but the company themselves have it pretty clear when they call their games "Software as a Service",the company supports it and you pay for the support and not for the product actually.I think it's better to play games with local server hosting as a feature if it bothers you(counter strike,tf2)

The census year cited in your video is 1978, and Mr. Sowell says that his research is limited to "the academic world". Further, he is pointing out quite effectively that women are required to take time away from their careers in order to "raise children" and "get married", detracting from a man and a woman "with the same number of years of experience, with the same continuous service, et cetera, et cetera" being likely to exist. Finally, the clip ends with Mr. Sowell claiming that women "do not work fulltime to the same extent as men", and by extension that women "are part-time workers". Your argument would hold more water if it came from a more recent source, and had more modern arguments.
quite the opposite, most western countries have isonomy in salaries as a work law, enforced by the legal system,so a company takes a risk by not following this practice. Also, the very nature of hiring the workforce is enlisting the benefits the person will receive BEFORE THE PERSON APPLIES(be it a man or woman),AND MOST WORKERS' LAWS WON'T ENABLE YOU TO BACK DOWN ON THE SALARY OFFER. So what really happens is: -women flock into courses which are paid less,by personal preference.I can back this up with a documentary about gender differences in "gender equalized" countries -the culture of women being more responsible for household and fostering of children distracts them from their careers, this is the actual part where most cultures are making women disadvantaged, it's not the industry's fault but their families and spouses themselves who demand more of women on the house, which is unfair. This subtracts from their education if they keep working,as they will be the ones who will stop continuing their qualification and educational processes. -only in very informal or shitty jobs someone would be able to pay differently for men and women, and again, that wouldn't make a lot of sense since you usually have the money for a job pre calculated.Saying people want to pay women less is like a person never went into a fucking HR department in any company on their lives.I make this statement because people with poor education are most susceptible to not knowing the worker rights or have vulnerable situation in which they cannot fight against the injustices they suffer. -motherhood takes women out of the job market, reducing their education significantly. -when the data is controlled for the relevant variables,a lot of times women have a lot more of the higher earnings. -western countries also have a high prevalence of women actually being more educated than men in most,if not all, educational levels.I live in Brazil and this is a fact even in third world country like mine,i can only guess how much more educated women than men are in the other western countries. This fact is also relatively recent,so they might not reflect in the job market instantaneously. Tl;DR most of the assumptions made about jobs are made by people who don't understand economics or business in general, which happens very often everywhere including tasvideos. The real solution is to educate men to do more housechores and for the workplace to give men the same license women receive to put off work when a child is born.

Ok, let me elaborate on my comment, in a reasonable and civil manner, and trying to connect it to the original topic at hand. During the last couple of years a very negative narrative has been pushed by a significant portion of the media, especially the gaming media, and also several famous individuals, about video games, their developers, and gamers. They are being accused of all kinds of heinous things, like sexism, misogyny and racism. This attack on games, and the gaming culture, has been really vicious at times. These claims are gross exaggeration and distortion. Video games do not cause sexism nor violence (as has been found by several studies), and both the presence of "sexism" and "misogyny" in video games, and their impact, is greatly exaggerated. More egregiously, the attack has been especially vicious against gamers themselves. They are depicted as anti-social woman-hating sexist no-lives, and accused of all kinds of heinous things. As a gamer myself, I find these accusations preposterous and personally insulting, and it irks me whenever I see somebody repeating them like they were somehow a self-evident fact, against all evidence. Sure some gamers are a-holes and trolls, but that's true for every single group of people in existence; it's not somehow exclusive to, or unusually prevalent, in the world-wide gaming community in particular. This particular topic only affects the gaming industry because of the attacks against it. The alleged "sexism" and "misogyny" and "toxic masculinity" is not even nearly so prevalent as to itself shape or affect the industry. Unfortunately the attack against the gaming industry is so strong and so successfully that it is having some effect on it. Some companies are self-censoring, and a few of them are even introducing identity politics into their games. To address complete non-issues.
i wouldn't go as far to say the gaming community is or isn't toxic, but surely not in any way that is different from the normal respective population. i also think that the attack is only ocasionally targeted towards the industry ,traditional media divides its focus on both the industry and the players, one at a time.I used to watch the hell out of Law and Order SVU,as i enjoyed the psychic and legal aspects of it,but the videogame rapists episode really stuck to me as how badly people might view the players in general. The videogame press itself seems to work with the other intention, putting developers on blast for too much "asses" like in SF5 beta r. mika Super. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKTRY0n39Yc original camera from the super^

my other movie wasn't syncing from the first battle, that got me really scared but i had to redo it anyway so no biggie. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/31378443062359868 i managed to beat nk strat in the first round with a few optimizations, but i'm still redoing this one,the second match gave me an insight to retry the combos using c.HP instead of s.HK,also a new finisher with the mash punch which is faster than the running attack is it allowed to doublepost for progress or not? Thanks to Invariel with troubleshoot EDIT: changing the normal from c.HP instead of s.HK gave me no advantage at all, only optimized 2nd round and then went to wonder woman fight, stuck at 2nd round,i simply can't manipulate her into a decent pattern that will allow for a combo after the blocked move. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/31402173462573220

Thanks,Samsara! new notes: doing a move in the air will make you land later, the punch has 3 frames of advantage when landing, but loses 17 frames to a normal jump(which we won't use, since the j.HP is the combo starter), the game freezes the attacker after a hit, this seems to be some kind of lag, inputs are not read, not even start button will work during the hitfreeze. i have completed a first round against superman and my timer is also at 86 at the end,but i didn't block his laser,so i will reattempt until i block a laser at the round like NK demo and upload the current wip: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/31356251320611575
