That aside, I am surprised by some of the overpoweringly negative criticism. When I play Castlevania I use a huge amount of lives and powerups, so I found this concept interesting. I strongly dislike, and always have, that whenever someone submits a run with goals that deviate from the standard any%, 100% etc. there is a deafening cry of "arbitrary!" "random!".
I agree with you for the most part, but in this case it's not just arbitrary or random. I've watched all the Castlevania TASs made since Bisqwit published his first few completed TASs of this game. Initially knock back was only used in one or two places, and no glitches were used. Then as each new TAS for this game was made, more and more places were found to exploit knockback, exploit special weapons, exploit damage on the boss. It got considerably more exciting with each new TAS. We all looked forward to see what new ideas Bisqwit, Phil, Genisto, and Morrison would come up with next. It was especially refreshing when seemingly counter-intuitive items and paths were chosen which ended up being faster as it allowed more knockback and more boss damage glitching. Without all that, this just seems like a jump back to before Bisqwit's first TAS. Being only 00:04.20 seconds slower than the first published run despite no leeway for damage or special items seems like a technical feet. But to me, this just feels like a 2004 TAS.

The whole point in a clever Castlevania TAS is damage knockback and clever weapon management throughout. Without that, it's just a snoozefest. Voting no.

Another problem was reported today that the capcha in the registration forum was sometimes unsolvable. This was introduced due to some software upgrades performed on the server. Our code has been modified to work with the new software present, sorry for the inconvenience, you should have no issues registering now.

If you're dumping video and audio, it ends up being named merged.avi

Randil: The issue you're reporting is the same issue reported right above you. This has actually been annoying me since day one of the featured movie thing has been added to the frontpage. I finally decided to look at it. It seems this code had many more errors than first realized. It didn't handle unicode for example. Anyways, I replaced the code used there with the code used in the RSS feeds, hopefully all issues should now be fixed.

How about this: Create special indexed pages for phpBB threads on the mainsite for the purpose of being a readonly archive for search engines. With links to the actual threads on forums (àla links to discussions on submissions).
That is doable to an extent.

What are you looking to find that there's an issue? phpBB has a search feature which can return the specific post you're looking for, and the main site also has a search feature for searching the forum which can find some things phpBB's can't. Allowing Google to index the forum is a bad idea. phpBB is swiss cheese and constantly being exploited, there's malicious robots running around the internet destroying phpBB sites all the time. We do not need to advertise our existence. Increasing the amount of posts per page is doable, but give a reason why it should be so.

Yeah, I still don't know what the poll means. The first two seem too girly. The last two seem over the top violent.

Yay! Someone finally voted for me. Although perhaps that's not a good thing, I still don't know what epic means and this poll signifies. Maybe the less of it the better...

I must say I'm quite impressed, very nice. This turned out better than I imagined. Good work.

Oh yeah? Behold: [img_left]http://zsnes.sourceforge.net/avatar.png[/img_left]This guy over here is also pretty snazzy, I like him more than that other guy, you know the one from that game. It reminds me of unstoppable turtles on a cold day after a thunderstormwar started by two Eskimos with a chainsaw on a hedgehog. The kind that come from the upside down walls found beneath the complexifying halls of mud above the savannah of life giving liquid. Just like mother used to make. Or was it my jailcell roommate? I could never tell the cellblocks apart. Once I got lost with Ryan from 202, and we swapped horror stories of never ending messages for hours. It was like one of those never ending novels that never end and keep going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. But then again, when Fabian comes into the mix, you got to count your JXQs and get all your adelikats in a row.

Hard to argue with logic like that!
But Epic Pinball begins with Epic while Mister Epic only ends with Epic. Therefore the true choice can only be Epic Pinball.
Which is why I choose PZ-powa.
But in IRC you said: <PZ> Nach's epicness is over 9000 Does that mean 9000 is very little?
No because MisterEpic's epicness is equal or superior to infinite x 10²
But what about my epicness of ∞ x 1014-11*9
Stop with gameshark codes.
Never!

Your secret messages are stupid, unlike a deafening ear licking implosion krang achieved towards unsuspecting new york city inhabitants prior to the TAS Turtles getting him.

My epicness is <= to the infinite.
Would that make me a close second?

I think you forgot your pills again, normally you wouldn't remember Battle Chess after taking them.

Oh good, because I don't. My reasoning would allow for Epic Megagames to also be the most epic therefore there can't be an only true choice.
