I was disturbed by the incredibly large amount of plot holes in this one. The one introduced where elves can teleport people, even where there's spells against people teleporting, makes the whole saving Sirius in 3, Draco trying to sneak people in in 6, and the whole Regulus dying bit make no sense at all. The whole book felt rushed and barely a second thought was given to continuity at all. Leaving the series with such a ton of loose ends and unexplained things doesn't help either.

I found it because Bisqwit pointed it out to me.

If anyone does, that would be Nach
And in fact I do. I'm not sure which was the first, as when I first came here, both Rockman 2 and Gradius were up. Then Rockman 1 and SMB3 were added. This was followed by Youkai Douchuuki, and SMB2 by Bisqwit (2 or 3 times), and someone I forget who did Ghost N' Goblins. Site was really small back then, and such a novell idea.

You have to change the encoder settings that VBA offers, not use the default. Or you could just let VBA output, then reencode it using VirtualDub.

I'm quite interested in how DeHackEd did the AVI of Rikku's excellent 120 star run on Mario 64 (movie #850) which is about 100 minutes.
DeHackEd uses a pipe to MEncoder, thus no crazy huge AVIs.

Thanks moozooh for putting this list together, it gave me a laugh. Also something to keep in mind next time I'm judging a movie, thanks. Another excuse: This author submitted so many unaccepted runs, I feel bad for the guy, or maybe if I publish this one, he'll stop trying to resubmit new runs for the same boring game. (Is this excuse popular at all?) And another: It's been sitting in the queue for so long, we can't just reject it now.

AVI doesn't support files over 4GB, not without crazy hacks anyway.

You want a program to decompress LZH/LHA archives.

The idea behind this movie is incredible. But unfortunately, there was just so much going on all over the place, I couldn't focus on anything. Or if I did focus on something, I miss good stuff elsewhere, and don't really see the awesomeness of them being played together. And nice to see you around again Sleepz.

Any reason why this is being done on the Green version? I'd recommend using the Blue version, since the non Japanese players never seen it.

Movies are to be played back in the version that created them.

Right ROM? I'm running my games off of an original CD.

Actually the bug shouldn't have happened, but a bit of the logic in the code was off. If you hadn't reported it, I probably would've not noticed it so quickly. The broken logic also threw off some other minor things.

I absolutely love this game. Make a flawless video and perhaps do something a bit shocking and you have my vote.

Phil is trying to say that if not for Genisto finding the faster time, no one else would've thought it was possible and even bother to try to recreate that time. Yes adelikat came up with the method on his own, but Genisto did notice the faster time first and thus sparked others to try it.

Vatchern: Maybe it has something to do with people complaining we only publish Megaman and Mario runs and leave the other ones sitting in the queue.

Why is this an if? We already have one perfect TAS sitting in the queue.

So enough of this off topic ness. Who liked that fancy pipe entrance? Edit: I cleaned up this thread. Please stick to discussing this movie and not other things. Other kinds of posts will be sent elsewhere.

Baxter I know what you mean. However, sometimes it's hard to keep it up in too long in one spot without blocking anything. I know in some of my encodes, I have to make several attempts to find an optimal place to place the messages.

The only way for us to prevent them appearing all over without our credits is to take down the emulator files, but I don't find that feasible.

Say we had the watermark, wouldn't it be annoying to have it in the corner of a video? It might cover something important. And I don't see what stops someone putting their watermark over ours.

Can you elaborate? JXQ never worked on that game afaik.
JXQ in SDW did some cool tricks which you didn't.
