The unusualness of a character is usally what makes them cool. Take Chrono Trigger, all the characters were cool because of how unusual they were. Well, Crono was cool, but that was more from his looks and abilities... But take Marle, meating some girl in a park who goes around with a concealed crossbow. Lucca, carries a gun ... in the year 1000. Etc... Take Protoman, very secretive character we don't know about, and he looks good too with sun glasses and bandana.

Not really. Haze Rever: Don't forget to mention you have to have load SRAM from ZST unchecked.

I've been busy with more worthwhile projects, and I figured some of these needed more time to hash out. When I get a chance, I'll convert more to polls, but don't worry, I gave each existing polls exactly 1 week from when I created, so no poll has any extra time. To make things easier for me, study the structure I did for the poll posts, and replicate a post like that in non poll topics, and it'll be easier for me, as I just have to copy and paste.

Technically, the outside part of the controller gives issues with pressing opposite directions. If you unscrew it and press the contacts directly, it'll work.

I say this run would be a very easy project!
I highly doubt that. Tons of fighters to choose from, and extremely hard to know in advance which would have been faster.

I'm not sure what the problem is, unless the Linux version I compiled from source has some bugs or something.
Where'd you get the source? If you're using Linux, try CVS.

Don't forget to make a movie of the alternet slot machine ending.

Agreed.

As for full SMB3, I'd rather enjoy seeing all the powerups in action at some point of game without stupid restrictions. And I'd like to see all levels and all secrets.
Yes, it's a stupid arbitrary restriction that added no entertainment to the movie.

There's 6-5 where you have to fly up with the shell. There's also that fortress I forget which it was where you started with all those blocks and a P switch and you had to fly up to Boom Boom. I think there might even have been a Tanooki suit in that level. This level has also been recreated twice in Super Demo World.

I really have to object to SMB3 warpless. SMB3 warpless was down right lousy. Why get hurt at the end of each level? Why not take more optimal routes in many places? Just seeing how bad this person played some of the game, and being so obvious about it is enough to make someone want to vomit.

I love smv's but I hate how new emulator versions cause problems. I also hate the lack of random access. Anyway, thanks for the kind comments!
Some of us pretty much solved the random access issue.

True that, although you do have to realize FCEU wasn't an option back when Phil&Genisto did it, and it's practically impossible to make the movie they did with Famtasia. Famtasia's abilities at recording Battletoads would make you want to kill yourself.

Well, I don't feel like going into it again, but basically, it didn't make sense to have one movie nominated for both most unexpected and most anticipated, especially when it was nominated for most anticipated just to take away votes from another movie.

I use mplayer from CVS and update weekly or so. Never had any problems here.

Cazlab, perhaps one Umihara Kawase run should be dropped, but which one? I also didn't put Goof Troop on the list because I didn't see it while going through the topic. No numbers or links that stood out to me as I scanned the page.

Warp: It would have to mean what totally shocked you, either because you didn't know the game was capable of doing that, or because it simply isn't humanly possible.

And VOTE! Arc: I didn't put in 3 of your nominated movies since although they weren't done till then, nobody was really anticipating them. The 3 movies you can vote for are clear they were highly anticipated by the sheer number of posts asking about them and discussing them before they were published.

A lot of nominations here, but very hard to say what was clearly nominated. Everyone who made some nominations, please clarify your nominations and give links to the movie(s) you want to nominate.

You may begin voting. Y'know I've seen all but one of these movies, and I have to say they all were creative and made quite good use of the glitches available. Personally, I think I narrowed it down to Mega Man, SMB 2, and Battletoads, but I can't decide what to vote for. Someone want to convince me?

Begin your votes. Truncated: I didn't include Flashback for reasons I discussed on IRC.
