There is work being done on using a config file, so hopefully in the next release it will be available.

Well it wastes about 15 seconds or so for the reward of seeing a moving round thing for 2 seconds. But then again you need them to rescue you in Metroid 4 ;)

Just remembered something. You get a special power up if you go into the World 5 tower level a second time, it might have been a cloud...

Get a multiple of 11 coins, make the last two digits of your score that number / 11 * 10, then end the level on an even time unit. Example: Coins: 44 Score: 572340 Time: 132

Here's a new mirror to download from: http://ipherswipsite.com/snes9x/ The Lysator mirror was also just updated recently which could explain the file not found error at the time. Linux Binary and Source Code is also now available. ZSNES will have rerecording as soon as pagefault gets back on his feet, or I have enough free time and will try to finish support for it myself.

The game is pretty funny, I think it would be entertaining.

Yes, what a lot of you have been waiting for. http://www.snes9x.com/news.asp The differnt mirrors are getting updated seperately, so check them all, and check back a bit later if your platform doesn't have a binary or source available yet. As of now the Windows and Mac OS X versions are up on some of the mirrors.

There are several clouds you are missing. I haven't played the game in ages, so sorry if my info is a little blurry. From World 3 and onward, every time you use a magical note block to boost you into the clouds, the level will end with giving you a Cloud. There's a magical note block in the level in world 3 where there are those green guys throwing spikes at you. There should also be 1 or two of those in world 5. I forget all the locations, sorry.

I myself have looked at VBA a bit, but don't plan on working on it for a while yet.

I am, it's just that it isn't, or at least doesn't seem, to be as upto date and sparkly as the WIPs. :)
Since the WIPs are taken from CVS, there is no way in the world that the WIPs can be updated more often than CVS.

Ah, it's been a while so I can't recall the exact location, perhaps 4-2 doing the minus world trick? That level is definitly 4-4 with underwater bit set though.

Wow, suprised to see you guys never knew about the minus world before. In 1-2, if you go through the wall correctly to reach the warp zone, you'll got to the minus world. In can be done in a few other places too for slightly different effects. Edit, looks like 4-4 with the underwater bit set.

..there's an Umihara Kawase game for NES? I thought there was only the SNES and PSX ones..
I only heard of it for SNES, but the rest of your list was NES so I figured I'd ask. I couldn't get past level 7 or so, how many levels are there?

IMHO, if you set up your actions that they will lead to the end of the game without actively getting there, all the better. Arkanoid is a perfect example, if you can set it up that it can beat the level for you 20 seconds later doesn't that show better skill?

Looks like someone wasn't using SNES emulators back in the day where you couldn't play a game without constantly flipping layers.

I can't promise we'll be releasing this month, but I think there's a good chance we will.
