So, do I need to wait for a frame-war on this one too?

That was essentially a slight rearrangement of my second route above. Which is a small variation on first route we both planned. Overall, looks good, and I doubt any other route if successfully would've saved a significant amount of time anyway.

Level 15: Link to video Not much to say about this one, I tested every section and this was the fastest way. This is actually the longest level so far!
I'm actually surprised that out of all the routes we discussed, this turned out to be the fastest. But I guess the enemies had a hand in determining that, more than the sheer distance each route required. Looks good!

Note the four divergent paths in the upper right quadrant. Edit: If there's not enough fuel for any of these. We'll instead need to start by jumping to the left, getting fuel and retracing our steps.

Method 1: Method 2: This is another of those mix and match levels! Method 3: Method 4: Method 5: slamo's Method 2 for part 2: Method 2 for end of part 3:

Getting it on the way back by phasing the wall next to it would have been way faster, but the spring gets perfectly in the way.
What about if you bust the 3 blocks from above as in my diagram? The spring can't get in the way of that.

Did you test starting off by grabbing the gem below you instead of on the way back? Or does the missile get in the way? When getting the gem in the lower right corner, did you test taking the ladder to the right of it back?

Note the blue ground switch in the level, it might be possible to skip toggling the barrier yourself if you can get lucky with the trackbot.

For the first two routes, where there's a zig zag around four gems in the center of the screen, some mini testing needs to be done to see if zig zag, or some other collection method is faster. For the first, if the Trackbot can be manipulated to lower the blue barrier, you could fly around the left side instead, after collecting the last gem in the main area, for a slightly shorter route.

For level 11, the only real questions are right then lower left, or down then upper right?

Hilarious, I had this exact same first half in mind, but didn't post it. I like your second half, I did not consider anything like it. With it, don't forget to test the direct approach:

I agree that the above route in theory does look the shortest. However, how much does going with the ladders help? Here for example is a route moving with the ladders:

Well, if you want to try without the red switch, perhaps something like this:

When going down to grab the lowest bottom right gem, is it faster to build a staircase as you did, or phase out the block on your way down, then return with a single jump instead of two?

And with the leftmost ladder, going up it instead of busting the block as in my route images is also faster?

When going down the middle of the screen from the very top, it's really faster to take the ladder than busting the floor out from under you?

Thinking about it, would it be faster to ignore the second gem on the way up, and instead nab it on the way down from the ladder directly to the right of it?

Not that I like either of these, but here's non-build-your-own-stair-case routes:

Edit: We're all doing this build your own staircase technique in the lower right corner. Is that really possible?

The position of each missile should be a function of time (a piece-wise function?). You could use frame counts to determine that ahead of time, in principle. That sounds like it could be useful in a situation where you realize you could get to a certain ladder a little bit faster than with your current candidate route, but would the missiles block you then?
There's nothing random here, so routes and costs could be plotted, it really is just a bunch of math. The simple classic route algorithms won't work though, because cost changes as routes are taken. So we could do it, it's just a lot of work.

Yes, but it's difficult for a plan to predict where a missile will be at any given time. I'll either have to go ladder-to-ladder waiting for missiles to pass to do the floors in order, or just go up and come back down later if it's faster.
Indeed. Which is why you need not to plan the level as a whole, but to plan it by segments. The easiest way to do that is to see where there aren't any gems, and ensure to be in that area as little as possible.
