1) I'm not sure why you think you deserve anything. You're not one of the winners. 2) Reading compression. Get it. The grand prize is 1 / 1000000 - 0.000001 dollars, subject to taxes.

The grand prize is cash, not actions, and it has to be split 3 ways. So none of your requests are happening. Enjoy!

Sorry, I prefer whole wheat Spaghetti, which is a bit darker so I didn't notice. I'm surprised you didn't mention it in your submission notes.

I'd also add we don't want bad language in submissions as well. So cut it out.

Nope. Also, in order to qualify, you have to ennumerate everything that was in the dish correctly. As a hint, there was a total of 6 ingredients.

How will this affect the encoding workflow?
You'll need to use some noodles in order to reach the desired target. We should develop the appropriate encoding filters for it.

After many years, it appears that our site growth has began to slow. Videos of video-games just aren't that interesting anymore. People don't care for classic systems. Therefore, in order to ensure the continued popularity and success of our site, we will be shifting away from Tool-Assisted Superplays and focus more on something that appeals to everyone - food. For now we will continue to accept submissions as usual, but we will be adding an upload to send in your Tool-Assisted Spaghetti Videos. By focusing more on kitchen mastery, we can reach a broader audience who can focus on our site. Remember, with great sauce comes great spaghetti. We will be adding tiers like Brunch and Dinner to better differentiate between the various culinary creations you guys come up with. Edit: We have secured funding for a grand prize for our new focus. Whoever is the first who can correctly guess what I ate for dinner today will win the grand prize of: "ONE / MILLION" Dollars.
Please note there will be a processing fee of approximately $0.000001 in order to collect your winnings. Local taxes may also apply.

Maybe mention where to update? x264 should be passed: --profile high444 --output-depth 10 Recent encodes from Stovent and Dacicus are 8 bit. So guys, please update.

I get the impression from this thread that the staff prefers that users download the MKV, but I'm not sure why they prefer this, and the poll shows it's not what the users prefer.
I don't think the staff has necessarily any preference. We provide different options to ensure the videos are accessible to different people with different needs. This thread gives us some insight into what is and isn't used to help us focus on what needs more attention and what is wasted effort.

How about neither.
On my screen, a YouTube icon appears next to those two archive.org icons. I'm not sure why that's not in your screenshot. Or did you mean that it should be removed from the interface?
My point was that Archive.org is listed as "Watch" on the left side. You said earlier that only YouTube said "watch" on it. Which is true on the list, but not the left. As for why my screenshot doesn't include the YouTube watch option, the privacy/anti-tracking plugins I have in Chrome block YouTube, so it doesn't appear for me in that browser.

But yeah, the publication screen offers about eleven separate links or buttons that each show you a movie (two from bittorrent, four from archive, two from youtube, two that show the submission text which commonly includes a youtube encode, and one emulator recording file). I'd say that eleven such options is a bit too much :D
I'm not crazy about it either. It's the #1 thing that I want to rewrite.

This is probably a site design issue, but a link like "Watch on Youtube" is immediately clear and obvious to everyone, whereas a link labeled "Mirror archive.org (MKV Modern HQ)" contains several jargon terms and probably reads like gibberish to laymen.
How about neither.

The YouTube embed on the site is too small, in particular for TASes of 3D games.
You can make it fullscreen.
For some reason, certain browsers don't allow YouTube embeds to go full screen. Generally mobile browsers. Archive.org embed does not have this problem (force refresh to get latest version).

I primarily watch in-browser using YouTube (via link from the publication page direct to the YouTube video page) for two reasons: 1) I'm usually just interested in what the run looks like. 2) It doesn't require downloading a file.
The MP4 Compatibility option can also be watched directly in the browser, and it doesn't require downloading a file. I just fixed some bugs with it from preventing it from being seen in certain browsers, specifically some mobile devices. You might need to force refresh a movie page before the changes take effect for you.

I really prefer to watch them on YouTube due to it being in the best quality, and plus it’s convenient to pull up on my phone.
YT usually uses way more space to achieve the same quality. The MP4 Compatibility option which is our Archive.org streaming option can save you phone data costs as well as possibly work better if you're in an area with poorer reception. Also, playback via YT on some mobile browsers cannot go full screen for some reason. From the tests I've done, our MP4 Compatibility option via Archive.org always allows full screen playback. If you didn't see the Archive.org streaming option before, force refresh a page and it should be available now. Try Archive.org (MP4 Compatibility) streaming (from our movie pages), and let me know what you think. (Be sure to force refresh to get the latest version)
