Sir Fortesque seems to wobble all over the place, I bet there are plenty of frames to be squeezed out through optimization. Path looks very good though, and I was entertained. Especially at how you 'cheated' the final battle army vs army fight into being winnable without the Good Lightning like it's supposed to require. :D

I'm NOT going through Chemo. What part of that in my last post didn't you understand? After seeing what it did to my Aunt, I'll take my chances.
Appeal to emotion. Unless chemo is more likely to kill you than the cancer, you should take the chemo. EDIT: For those wary about the FDA, I'd read this to realize why we 100% need an organization like them: http://www.fda.gov/AboutFDA/WhatWeDo/History/ProductRegulation/SulfanilamideDisaster/default.htm

I can honestly tell you all something. If I end up with some type of Cancer, I won't be going through Chemo-Therapy.
It depends on the kind of cancer, you have to realize - some cancers WILL kill you slowly, and unlike the chemo you can't turn the cancer off when it starts to get deadly. Chemo is a far more painful thing to see because it's willingly applied and the results appear so quickly - but that's your emotional, gooey human evolved parts of you talking. Ask your doctor whether chemo or no chemo has a better chance of success, know the numbers.

This is a solution for level 60 that I found back in 97-98 (someone else found it too because it ain't my video), I didn't see this solution in the chipwiki though I might have missed it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cjx0Hj35D7Y&feature=related
This is a classic glitch in the windows version called Forcing, allowing you to move against a force arrow. Even I found this one in my childhood :D The video solution on the wiki does this first try.

For reference, a segmented speedrun: http://forum.speeddemosarchive.com/post/an_untitled_story_any_insanity_difficulty.html Categories for the game could be: any% all% glitched low% (in earlier versions the grottoeye ball had a glitch allowing you to duplicate your bird and go through exits twice at once - moving two rooms away. getting to the final boss using this glitch is trivial) CARTESIAN PRODUCT Simple (fewer and less dangerous enemies, take damage to save time) Insanity (all the enemies, no damage) Gimmick categories: Jumpbox speedrun Rainbowdive speedrun Heist mode playaround

Problem with a TAS is that all but a few levels are 'solved', the exceptions being ones that require ridiculous luck for the optimal time. http://chipschallenge.wikia.com/wiki/Melinda_time This wiki has a video up for each level detailing the fastest known time and annotates all noteworthy things about it. Some levels are incredibly long - Writer's Block is about ten minutes of pushing blocks around, for instance.

I know a couple of people who can vibrate at 15-17 taps/sec. They use their talent to play stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAzDa4nmtfM

I think you have it backwards - elastic collisions are where no energy is lost (Ke of body 1 + Ke of body 2 = a constant before and after the collision), non-elastic collisions are where energy is lost (friction, heat, crumple zones, air resistance...)

If you identify what memory address(es) hold the current colour of the orb, you can write something in LUA to tap on frame 1, frame advance and see if it takes on that colour, and if not rewind and tap on frame 2, frame advance and check, etc. At least I'm pretty sure

Why not write a LUA script to brute force getting you the desired colour?

How about a game with the following: -The optimal speedrun, using all tricks that can be performed in real time, is almost trivial. -However, there is an ultra obscure series of glitches with vanishingly small probability to pull off, that a TAS will be expected to do to be any faster than the RTS.

You can use a save file that unlocks things if you also provide a 'verification movie' which, when played from a fresh start, produces the save file you wanted, to prove it's possible.

Codes to unlock harder difficulties are OK. However, if harder difficulties make the movie simply longer as opposed to more strategically interesting, play on the easiest difficulty.

Yeah, it looks like hexagonal advance wars, even down to similar battle views. (Wonder if they have common inspiration or not...)

Very interesting for an unreleased game, high movement and acrobatic ability makes it well suited to the fast reflexes of a TASer. Too bad the game's repetitive and quite vast and empty, but that's what you get for playing something unfinished. :P Yes vote

Oh, that's a good idea. You'd make it advance frame when sent a packet, then send back the frame number and RAM values of the new frame?

yeah, IMO do one complete run through without looking back so you have something submittable, then go through it again and don't stop until you're at the end again.
