Button mashing...
*Looks at final input*
Blank input for 139 frames.
Right I'm just going to guess the minimum input isn't optimal enough.
Others can decide on this one too.
I have looked at Stage 1 and 2.
Movement looks okay, can be cleaned up here... there.
Refraining from voting until clarification from others.
Edit: Brazil is the game version it's not actually meant to be part of the title...

Herp. Derp. I didn't realize I removed what I had.
I want to say you can justdropthe word "warps" because it is common sense.
That explains why the second comment doesn't make sense.

The time should be: 13:19.53
Going off your final input.
It seems fairly unoptimal.
This is on the hardest difficulty to let everyone know.
You write out "HOAHOJKI" as your name entry (and if it isn't that's a long text field to begin with).
This wastes more time than a single letter and saving.
You are using Rapid Fire to your input this doesn't help much.
To People: You cannot touch to select character, I checked to make sure.
In comparison what I will link as a video below is much more entertaining as it uses more glitches and completes in a faster time:
Link to videoNo Vote.

Point to me.
Point to me where it explains everything that is going on with this run.
This is the thing that is pissing me off the most.
There is no clear explanation on anything within this TAS.
I have read it already but and I will change what I just wrote above because that is the movie description field (also taking in account this Movie).
What exactly does the Escape button DO?
It's not explained properly HERE or HERE.
Completing an endless circle of WTF.
This is a clear issue that the Description cannot figure out what the Submission field is saying
To sound like a broken record:
How do you text storage.
How do you get to this if I may "wrong warp".
I have read the Submission field more times then anything else I have read in TASVideos.
I want a clear answer.
Let us ignore everything else (the branch and what not).
What is the significance of the Text Storage with the Escape Button.
Explain MORE in DEPTH.
Edit: Oh, before anyone goes here and says the opposite of what I want.
THIS and THIS work together (Even stating look at the previous TAS).
Everything is explained correctly for that TAS.
Edit 2: Better Example is the famous Kirby the Frame Wars.
Explains the minimum in the second sentence and a quick little summary on how it works
The movie given the branch "no stone glitch" (as much as I hate it) works, because it explains in the last line what it doesn't do.

Sorry for poor clarification on this part.
It was just to notify that there is others that use passwords but I forgot to be specific in which ways.
So yea, passwords are used mainly for Hardest Difficulty.

Cheat codes are not a normal part of gameplay. If a game contains cheat codes, then a TAS is expected to avoid them even if they save time. A run in the vault can not use cheat codes, regardless of how fast it is. Conversely, a run "using a cheat code" is a special case that has to be labeled as such. The cheat code run needs to prove that it's unique enough for a separate branch, and entertaining enough for moon tier.

Pointing something out in terms of Votes.
We have 3 votes to "Something else (post in thread)".
But we have only one person who "(post in thread)"
Unless I'm poorly misreading then we have 0 people who have infact posted their thoughts when selecting that one.
Also to the one who voted "You suck" smart way to waste a vote.
Edit: Got told that that Scepheo is one of the others.
Sorry Scepheo for not acknowledging your point or missing it completely.

Well screw you too YouTube.
downloads
watches
I like this one more than the other.
I was a bit more entertained but pushing an A2600 TAS to a Moon is hard.
I will give this a weak YES
Seriously. Dropping the input at the end, nicely played. Also: YOU SO SHOULD'VE DIED! :P

It's not an actual hack, it's a spin-off of Half Life 2 made by one of ValVe's developers, Garry Newman, based on Half Life 2's Source engine. It's a mod basically, but there are standalone versions of the game that don't require HL2 to run.
You're ignoring the statement and giving us true, yet still to the point false facts.
There is no way you can TAS Garry's Mod for TASVideos.
It's an open world sandbox with no story, mission objectives etc.
The same can be said about TF2 (to a degree).
You even proved it in the suggestions why this truly cannot work because it's stuff you have to do (as in setting it all up or getting the parts/mods).
I will repeat what I'm stating here:
THERE IS NO WAY A TAS OF GARRY'S MOD WOULD BE ACCEPTABLE.
The only thing that might be acceptable is a playround but even that has its limitations.

To people voting for glitch/any, do you simply not agree with this? Or do you not care about the obvious contradiction?
Andy's point makes sense here.
Crash Bandicoot 2Crash Bandicoot 2 "glitched"
But we need to think for 2 other branches "any%" and "100%".
Which branch actually gets dropped in a sense, or do they both stay because we cannot glitch it?

So basically this is the easiest difficulty TAS.
I don't know if I should request my vote to be Meh now... but considering the low re-record count, I assume there is room for improvement.
Keeping it to a No vote.

What makes it not properly defined?
Basically it's saying a function which it's not doing and for another run it doesn't mean that it could be used next time to obsolete.
It's easier using something that would make more sense by having a better meaning to the branch then going "No Esc".
It's much harder to clarify a branch name nowadays because we removed "glitched" branch which made it much easier to place certain runs.
An offender to this is Crash 2, we now have the any% run titled "no box glitch" you would only understand this if you play or have an understanding of Crash 2.
To note: the original branch name to that was "no memory corruption"
So in other words we need to cater the viewer (who has minimum knowledge on that game) a branch name that is sensible and understandable.
Basically it's saying a function which it's not doing and for another run it doesn't mean that it could be used next time to obsolete.
Error: not enough grammar.
Yea that's the issue of trying to prove a point so late at night that the points don't appear as you want it.
I'll try and paraphrase
- Branch with "No Esc"
- Next run to obsolete
- Uses Esc to save all crew and skip stuff
- Uh.....
Another way of looking at it is like how we have the 1 and 2player TASes.
When one is faster than the other the slower one will mention how many players.
*yawns* Lets see... Uh the point, the point, right...
So calling something "No Esc" and then having a run obsolete it with Escape would put us back where we started trying to figure out a proper branch name.
Note: This is all in theory.
Scepheo wrote:
"No ESC" is simple, concise and correct.
I beg to differ...
feos' point on the branch name was quite clear. Heck I even agree with his 1 word response to the naming of the non-glitched TAS (Note: I'm writing non-glitched here because it's easier to mention what it was originally known to be on TASVideos).
feos wrote:

If someone want to figure out what I wrote go nuts. Note: It's against "No ESC" as a branch.
(man I love my notes)
Anyways branching it as "No ESC" should be a 2nd last resort and "No Storage" is our last resort.
In Cave Story it's not the worst ending (escape on the dragon) or the intermediate ending (kill the Undead Core) but the best ending (kill Balos).
We don't currently have an any% run of Cave Story, I'm not sure what you're getting at.
Patashu I have to agree, you didn't explain Cave Story properly...
------
Hmm... I think I can use this to drop the branch bomb by keeping only 3 (glitched/any%/100%).
Okay. I'll create a quick glitched/any%/100% list myself off 2 characters.
Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon.
Even though we have not done any complete 3 TASes on it yet I will still bring this up.(This is mainly due to emulation fault or other)
All these games have their own routes no mater what you try.
Crash Bandicoot 2.glitched, *any% and 100%.
Simple
Crash Bandicoot Warped.
**glitched, *any% and 105%
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage(Gateway to Glimmer for Europeans (if confused))
*** glitched(speedrunners dubbed this any%), *any%(speedrunners dubbed this 14 tailsman) and 100%
Where can we go with this?
Well there is one game speedrunners themselves don't want to do.
Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly
*any%, *any% ***NMS and 100%
Now before you jump to conclusions to what I just wrote and claim the any% to be a non-glitched branch... it is.
1:07.23 - NTSC Gamecube
* Would not be added into the branch field.
** This is a speedrun just to prove it that there is such thing.
*** No Major Skips
The point of any% is to show the complete difference there is to "glitched" and "100%" they all have their own routes, their own struggles.
glitched: Doing the same damn game skipping glitch over and over again. Stares at Super Mario World - 5 DIFFERENT BRACHES FOR THIS GAME! (could be worse we could have all the SM64)[/size]
any%: Completing as fast as possible with minimum requirements. stares at Metroid
100%: Max requirements, more planning, more routing, more backup strats. unable to stare at anything... there isn't much.(Note on this point I just made: I'm not taking to shit on Metroid or SMW I'm just pointing them out as those 2 games are more acknowledged to me seeing several different versions)
^If you're going to point something wrong on the third one go back to the first one.
Yes I'm seriously going to put you through a loop.... go back to the first part if you disagree on the third then go to second then go to third and keep doing it.
Over and over again, until you understand... or when someone translates the way I write for you. (Possibly Guga or feos)

The issue here is clarity.
Let's take Crash Bandicoot 2 as an example. We have two runs on the site; one is the world speed record with no restrictions, and the other is a "minimum requirement" run which doesn't use the box glitch, and consequently is slower than the world speed record.
This is immediately apparent from the current branch names. So I'm not following why you want to rename the branches to make this less clear. I don't see how that would help anyone.
Blah, blah, blah, Page 3 (and my other one below it).
