I know that it's published for a while now (4 years), I'm letting everyone know that even though it doesn't look improvable, it is. I did something in my walkthrough that I thought Chef did.... but he didn't, so if you want to go do this run and beat Chef contact me I'll help you and tell you were you can go a little faster than Chef. Still, such an awesome run to watch to this day.

Fun fact: When you first play it there is Easy and Normal mode, when you finish it on Normal you get Dark Spyro Mode....... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.... Restarting it will be a long time when I get back to it *head hits table several times*.

zk547 I cannot view what you did because It's not working with desmume 0.9.8 :( On another topic I decided to have a go at the first level, this is my first time going through the game as a whole. (I've played this game on one of my friend's DS but I do not own the game) I manage to make my Luigi finish on the same time as Greenalink's TAS with Luigi. Holy molly that is awesome, and it works pretty swell with Notepad++ I like it a lot feos :D.

Sadly you cannot go under the slope and get out of there in Up the Creek, trust me I tried alot. What Pirohiko is doing is a 3 frame swap between left and right while going straight (in 2d type levels it's 3 frames swap between up and down while going left or right) while Jumping and Spinning for Velocity. Now (this is my understanding right here) the way that the double jump glitch works is you need to be on the correct position of the leaf, I found this out when I tested pirohiko's little trick. By spinning than jumping on the correct position the game doesn't register that you have done a jump only a spin so you are able to create another jump with spin jumps.

I had a look at your lua script there is an error on line 3 "Spyro2.lua:3(line 3): '=' expected near 'line' Also it's not a good idea to grab a script from a completely different game as you do need to change parts of the script.

I should be a little more clear on what I mean with the Kirby Meta Knight combo. Overall these 2 characters are the best but at swimming levels you swap to Waddle Dee, King DeeDee is the strongest but the slowest out of all the characters. Basically I'm suggesting for the tas in World 1 (note this is for 100% 2 player), you use Meta Knight but when there is water levels that come up (thinking right here) from level 3 swap to Waddle Dee. Also FIRE is the best for Kirby to get (in speed-wise). Just to let you know I might pick up the 2 player tas for this game 100%.

NICE you managed to get Yoshimitsu. When Jin is on the ground charge up a suicide, it would make it funny, 'cause during the time he is on the ground you can charge up a stab on yourself and then hit him on the second, For most likely a Double KO. (This is instead of the sword on ground)
