Okay since I made you both loss (by accident) I know about NTSC-U and NTSC-J (I usually call US, NTSC and Jap, Jap instead of NTSC-J(for now I'll type NTSC-U and NTSC-J)). Crash Bandicoot for any% is a major change between Pal&NTSC-U compared to the NTSC-J version, now besides the obvious level switch (Sunset Vista swaps with Slippery Climb in the Japanese version), the important gem (Green Gem) for any%ing this game, the location of it in the Japanese version is in Hog Wild and for the PAL&NTSC-U version it's in The Lost City (This is a massive advantage for the NTSC-J version). That's what I was trying to type out. Also if you didn't get it with the box count and why I have 2 different regions in my signature is that in the NTSC-U and PAL version (Mukki's tas used as an example) of Crash Bandicoot this is what happens and in the Japanese version (Pirohiko's tas wip used in this example) this is what happens in it. Pay attention to both box counters and you'll understand what I mean by having 2 different types of Crash 1 any% tas runs. Also I think Crash Prototype (Demo of Crash 1; complete game of it before final (Has a ton of differences) would be a good one to tas too since we do have a demo game by SwordlessLink up eXtreme Wakeboarding (I think it was).

That's a good idea, I know for a fact for the n64 (even though I don't own one) that Zelda: OOT in the 1.0 version there was so many glitches that you can do but when 1.1 & 1.2 came out the glitches went down a bit. On the Playstation a game such as Crash Bandicoot can be used too as an example, the NTSC/PAL version is SLOWER than the Japanese version (when any%) because of the box counter (on how many you missed) becomes changed (NTSC/PAL 20 boxes = 20boxes JAP 20 boxes = 1 box). Seeing that pirohiko is doing a run on the Japanese version under any% the same run that Mukki did but it was under the NTSC version. It's a fine example of 2 different routes and strategies.

Just going to mention something, I stumbled upon a 5:51 speedrun (not tas) of this game (0 star): http://youtu.be/iX5BZDiBnYw I don't think it's the same as andypanther's one 'cause that video is private, also by seeing the words unoptimized it sounds like a tas. :/

Well, I wanted to know about the advantages of Japan version over the US verion....
and PAL (PAL is fastest overall due to the amount of Aku masks lost in certain levels for the NTSC version, due to rules NTSC has to be used :/) Box counter is fastest on Jap version, for example 40 boxes missed = 1 box hits Crash's head NTSC/PAL 40 boxes missed = 40 boxes hits Crash's head Due to this you can make a "Deathless" speedrun/tas with the JAP and a "Death Abuse" run with PAL and NTSC.

The reason I brought up round 2 is you basically (from my point of view) put the controller down for Yoshimitsu, and let hell break loose on him, that's why I'm mentioning it, also what happens if you hit start AFTER a fight not at a start of a fight?

-video- Just some more progress with a 2 player fight, and a fight against Law. I also implemented the frogman glitch that Warepire suggested.
I was upset about the 2 player bit with Mokujin and Yoshimitsu When you had the life on both half I was waiting for a double knock out to be honest, as with half health (mention before) Yoshimitsu can suicide himself and if close to opponent kill them too. Idea for 2player part: 2nd round make them get both as low as possible make sure Mokujin won the first round suicide Yoshimitsu with his move: > + > (< + <) + O & Square (If I still have a copy I'll show you which one if you're unsure) Obviously this is the suicide move he dashes turns around dies and it actually was for another move too cannot remember what it is called :/.

I decided since my childhood "blessed" me with this game I feel like I want to tas it and to beat it as fast as possible (and with normal stock health) This is what I've done up to the part of these 1 jump high blocks which I changed because it was slow. Bump might I add. I got up to the first enemy and killed it. Question was that fast enough? (Btw official WIP#1)

Even though you cannot get the Japanese version of this game, there are still two other categories for it. - NTSC/PAL 100% "Death abuse" - NTSC/PAL any% "Death abuse" Also have fun with your other projects, looking forward to see them :D.
