The TAS does this already: Bramble Scramble & Slime Climb. Tem's even explaining in that clip that she learnt this speedtech from speedrunners and wanted to try it herself.

Good run, long loads. Ignoring the loads my vote would be Meh regardless. Glad that the first title is done now. Claiming for Publications.

Yeah that's an emulator hack like how the extra resolutions to DOOM is not accurate to real DOS version. So it would not be used. Ever. You can use it for your temp encodes. But no it's very experimental, and not worth it with visual glitches to do temp encodes when the site is dedicated to gotta go fast.

Light Spike of 57 frames of extra input left behind by the author. There is some menuing issues present in the input, but not like other Rookies where they mash through the stuff, this one takes it time. Just for future reference, cycle through using the 1 and 2 buttons after every menu. Not providing a patch up cause it desyncs at Foot Bag and there was actual time spent behind the input by planning stuff ahead and deliberately.

Right forgot to explain a thing here when I provided my input. How did I save 4 frames? Well I avoided collecting a star and decided to kill the enemy sooner. This is the issue of directly copying input without adjusting anything instead the last 29 seconds of the movie is just new input. What's the star for? Well if you watch the Publication the stars are used for Tutorial progression. Collecting all the stars will open the door and end the section. Now does the star do anything in this situation? No, killing sooner is still important that killing later. Now I mentioned this already, but to reiterate my input is not the be all end all and was also rushed basically the same day this submission came through to inform Meerkov of a "hey, check input that you copied" and provided what I did in private. This is why I don't want my input used because it much like the submission was rushed out to give an more can be done, even if not much since this TAS was made the same week as the RTA community found this oob and geg glitch. Edit: And I mean it when I mentioned my input was still not good enough. Still not good enough regardless, rather scrap the input made and just deal out a more acceptable enemy pattern but this is still better than not preventing Harry to grab that Star.

Oh the thing I've been waiting for so long to finally end the available game series. A nice, simple... visual glitches and alternative script game. Claiming for Publication. I'll get back to you on entertainment later.

I mean after being bullied and harassed by one of the authors (which can be found easily) I think there's a fair justification for actually lowering it (cause it used to be slightly higher).

Here's my input it save 4 frames the author is already aware of this input. (made in 2.6) Calling for the delay/cancellation of the submission if my input is used even if mirrored. The author is dealing with IRL stuff atm which is why they didn't do anything, they've had my input since the day it was submitted to work on further. For a 3 minute movie that copies input from a movie that's from 2015 stuff can be milked further down. I don't have the time or effort to care about this no matter what someone says to me in DMs. Edit: Also here's another set of input that avoids using DaJaWi's input outright (which again the author Meerkov is well aware about) and has a different enemy layout (which can be manipulated) that can also be looked into milking down the time.

On the type of hack it is it would have to beat: [2627] NES Hard Relay Mario by HappyLee in 08:14.95 (The TAS that DaSmileKat is referring to in their post)

Unfortunately for me I'm one of the people who got it to sync. Unfortunately for me that means I'm going to be publishing this when it gets accepted. Sync Requirements: intel 7k to 11k iGPUs that are using UHD. Resolution must be set to 320x240 in order to sync.

Given that 10 years have already passed and the full TAS hasn't been built yet, I would just abandon it because procrastination usually doesn't give a positive result or it won't live up to the expectations.
I have projects hitting their 5th year in development (heck this was 4 years old finally being submitted and published). So I'll keep this comment nice and simple. Apologize. You're being rude and disingenuous. Just because people are dedicated to a project doesn't mean you should badmouth their project.

Well if you want me to be accurate about dating. How about the entire time you've been working on the TAS? You know back in August you stated that you were halfway done with the TAS, I mean you could've had a draft written up at that point for some of the glitches that were done. Oh also you mentioned that there's desync issues in that half way done post, how's that going for ya did it sync without any issues, or states that had to be loaded? You know, we've been in this pandemic for a year now, so if you seriously want me to be accurate about dating, literally any time you were working on the TAS would've worked for providing information about glitches.

Coming from the person that had this uploaded since October 14th 2020 and had the encode prepped well beforehand now that's just a lazy excuse.

If you'd personally like to TAS this game and seek more info, perhaps ask in the community discord?
What because you're unable to inform of the actual glitches in something that you had 3 months to write up? This is literally as I wrote a "submit and run" which is very disappointing to see. Actually bother instead of making up excuses or use that time you're using in the forum posts to actually explain them. You mustn't care about the game after all.

Don't cause the user has their own account where they do it. Let them encode their own runs if they want to violate the limited status. ----- KietTezend you need to prove that you have improved by working harder on it. From what I saw in the first level you slew down, you went slow at certain sections, that's all I watched of it honestly. On an assumption there will be improvements hidden within your inputs. One other thing look at the character combos and see which two are great together. Find who run the fastest together for instance instead of someone who's lagging behind, or someone who has faster shooting. You may be tightening up input in a 2D game slowly overtime which is good. But how you going at 3D? Don't you believe that you can trim down further and further with your input instead of going "one and done"? Also to help you here's a heads up for controls and how to have things set up. If you're not using a memory card, disable it, if it's faster to go through menus with it on enable only 1 memory card slot, for this game. Disable them. Since this game is 2D put both controllers on Gamepad not DualShock. I showed you this with my input in the game section please use that.

Majority of this input is based on DaJaWi's work they need to be credited as the author.
<Spikestuff> Meerkov: how much of your input is based on DaJaWi's work?
<Meerkov> Most of it
<Meerkov> I tightened up everything, and resynced it to the new core
<Meerkov> the major change happens when the new glitch happens
Edit: Input is improvable as a note to which I have passed the input along. It's if Meerkov would return to it or not is the next question.

Game is pretty straight forward
You reckon someone who has countless of hours in a title and discovered some of the more important glitches and is apparently a prominent figure to the scene (before things happened) would actually bother to explain every single important glitch in the title. But no, this is just a submit and run which is very disappointing to see. Some of the explanations are in the previous rejected cause cheats submission: #6128: itsPersonnal's GC SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom "In-Game Codes" in 02:06.08. But to move it here and with next to no knowledge on the title you get me explaining stuff after being informed on stuff. Information taken from the SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom community homepage. You being a user who has great knowledge behind the title. I expect a better summary and more information explaining each of these tricks when you do write 'em. Hans Disabling - When a loading screen starts while Hans is on-screen, this effectively disables the out of bounds triggers. Hand on Demand - In addition to detecting when the player is out of bounds, Hans also prevents the player from getting stuck by respawning them when the detection mechanism thinks that the player is stuck. This can be abused in a speedrun as a fast means of activating the hand. By walking into the wall, performing a delayed double jump and slamming, Hans will grab Spongebob. 1-frame damage boosting (Grounded Frame Input) - In one frame where SponeBob takes damage he's in a "grounded" state. SpongeBob can perform any action that he could normally perform on the ground. Cruise Boost - Cruise Boosting is a glitch where activating a cruise bubble and bubble bowl on the same frame stores bowling momentum, increasing your total speed. Displacement Cruise Boosting - Instead of capturing a higher displacement from a ledge, you use a precise bowling ball shot to displace yourself. Instant Cruise Boosting - Instant cruise boosting is a TAS-only form of cruise boosting. High speeds can be achieved with just one input, and can be stacked repeatedly. Vertical Momentum Storage - You transfer the vertical momentum on the last frame of the previous level into another by warping to a new zone and jumping on the first frame you load in Skee-Ball Abuse - Using stone tikis found elsewhere in the Goo Lagoon Pier, you can cause the bubble bowl to get stuck in the skee-ball machine. The bubble bowl can pass back and forth through the trigger repeatedly, activating it over and over. Bowl Boost Jump - When the player bowls on the first frame after Hans leaves the screen, they are granted a speed boost. This speed boost is derived from the game storing SpongeBob's position in the level at a defined location before displacing him within one frame. The further from this location, the larger the displacement and the faster the bowl boost. Vertical Bowl Boost - From what I understand, similar to Bowl Boost Jump, but you're shot upwards. L-Control - If SpongeBob has a Cruise Boost and uses the Cruise Bubble on the same frame that he grabs a spatula, the camera is able to be controlled during the animation. R-Cancel - You enter a zone without an exit cutscene and touching a spatula on the same frame L-Clip - An L-Clip is a way to clip through walls. It abuses the frame of intangibility you get when you input the Cruise Bubble power up by pressing L. L-Bowl - By pressing the Cruise Bubble and Bubble Bowl input on the same frame while Spongebob is wedged between two objects, Spongebob will clip through the object he is facing at high speed. and finally the one I will absolutely botch: Spongeball Displacement Jump - Your velocity is tied to that of the platform you're standing on using the spongeball it stores your position on that platform and you can be shot up to the speed that's tied to it. ---- There are TAS exclusive glitches to the title that either doesn't have proper documentation or has none. You really owe us an explanation on these glitches cause I got the bare minimum but that's not good enough for something this dense. For example the Spatula Animation that's being performed is different to that of Skip, but is similar to Overlap when you were going through the Graveyard portion.
