Hello JayKondeck and welcome to TASVideos, unfortunately the timing you're using is slower than the several year old publication [1715] NES Super Mario Bros. "warps" by HappyLee in 04:57.31. It's highly recommended to use the userfiles for movies that don't best something pre-existing and to hone in your skills

Done from scratch: User movie #638298571590604477. Thanks to rythin for proving a more preferable System Time. This won't be submitted in its current state as it's not the best that can be dealt with. For example if I even out my points where I should've biased towards Strength and Intelligence making it a 10/14/14 this would've removed 4 sleeps. One last thing I noticed between this and yours is that there's one more thing that could've been done. At the roulette table you select the number, then spin. It's faster to spin then select the number.

Right. Things that I've noticed and unfortunately can't fix. The major issue is (and why I can't fix it) is your framerate's wrong. The game runs at 35fps not 30fps. The second issue is when you're doing your generative stats you could muck around with System Time instead and see if that gives you anything close to preferable as a starting stat. Mucking around and setting the System Time to 28 gave me 5 / 9 / 10 with 9 Extra Points. Which when used can give me 9 / 10 / 14, similar to what you have but with an extra stat in Intelligence. However this also brings to question of "isn't it better to even all these out to the same stat if you're going to sleep grind +1 to get the stats you need, and the lowest having the most issue?" this is due to the job hunt being done at the end of the movie and the stats requirement of being President being at or above 666. Your naming input, something I generally personally ignore can be fixed up. Now I don't know why this first part doesn't work in Linux, but it works in Windows. You can do Ctrl+A and redo that instead of manually backspacing 8 characters. But, if you have a look at Don't Shit Your Pants or Thy Dungeonman input string can be done in one line, meaning in theory you can have all that backspace in a single line, but also the rest of your alias "[A]hym" be done in that same single frame instead of it being spaced out along with that Done input. This affects any time you manually put in cash for stocks.

To refer to this comment. Doing all the necessary gambling you have to do once is better than backtracking and completing it a second time. If you know how much money you need at early game in a single trip, it's better to aim for that instead. I voted Meh previously mainly for the downtime sections being flashing lights, but if I could now I would Abstain the vote if I knew what I learnt. This is a good opener of a Submission but much more can be done fixed, patched and understood upon for this title.

That argument doesn't work when Arsenal, Sniper Assassin & Full Moon exist alongside one another. The best option at the current time is: It's even more apparent when the other movie is branched appropriately since the day the pre-mentioned titles had their exploitive ways approved for the site. This submission has basically been given the green-light to exist alongside the other one.

So, multi video track has been placed on the mirror link: But that doesn't mean I didn't make single video tracks, cause I did: And if for whatever reason I'm not here in the future, and something happens to the encode... here's the script for the Reduced Flashing.

Pepper's using the input I provided as an example 1:1 which slightly adjusts their input for the first level. Rather than creating a new one from scratch Pepper's used the input I provided, my input also has issues that I highlighted in my comment above. This input here is 222 frames faster than myself with only jump adjustments, and 233 frames faster than you. The "improvement" you provided has also not been in the oven for long enough, a sub 7 should be possible. If you're going to use the input I amended from yours make that clear rather than taking the credit to yourself.

Flashing at 3:00 to 3:46 and again at 3:52 to 3:55 and finally 3:56 to 4:03 and lastly 4:06 to 4:46 and for good measure 4:49 to 4:50. I guess my only complaint-- besides the seizure. Is that it looks like you overgrinded at the Casino. Probably something that can be simply patched.

This TAS has a lot of visible issues that aren't explained by the author. Firstly the major thing that I noticed is that you weave away from the enemies before going towards them to jump on them, This includes enemies that can be jumped over without this extra movement being done to wait for them to be lower. Because you can jump higher than a single frame, so you can jump over them without ever touching them. Secondly there's this larger coin that exists, with a heart, it's a free hit point with no damage required to take, or this extra stalling input. This TAS has a lot of stalling input and it's a concern to me because it means that this TAS was not in the oven for long enough. Coin management is also another thing the TAS might have to do as well to reduce the coin bonus, as well as the free puppies bonus. The Puppies one can be avoided, but the coin one is harder to route around, especially with the lack of knowledge I have, but the lack of information being provided here. And I guess this would extend to the quest of would the site allow this game to take the Sonic approach of going for the lowest score, which create a worse overall time? Here's the userfile of the first input that's based on yours, but is mainly made as a grounds of what's going on. Abstained.

Firstly. WebNations is a hack that profited off everyone's work. That account can stay dead. With what you stated there are issues with how the person dumps their videos for their commentary that wouldn't line up with our dumps/encodes as they do things differently which causes a/v to desync on our end (author commentary isn't lost to time, a backup of it exists), or they present it differently with pausing and whatnot (as you mentioned). That's why we usually point to their encodes on their personal channels instead of providing ourselves. We would have to put in guidelines and a request for how the author has to present their audio in advance to their submission if we want to do it cleanly. Certain authors also stylize their work, so there's that as well. Another thing we're waiting on to hit TASVideosChannel as seen on Netflix Anime for instance is multi-track audio. This will help reduce the amount of Sonic CD encodes for instance (different soundtracks), and allow split audio tracks in multi-game encodes such as the recently published Pokémon coop diploma. But again it can land on the a/v desync issue. A better method to showcase these, rather than bury them in the mass of encodes (and classify it as ours, even though it's their hard work) is to actually have a playlist that goes off to the author's YouTube, a highlight sort of thing. The author created their commentary, so they should be the one to have their encode featured to their channel not ours. I personally rather not steal off of others commentary like another hack that previously existed.

It would probably be better to list them as the co-authors to this TAS.

I think that extends the question to "What sections of this TAS uses andymac's TAS?" as well. Basically. Should both authors whose input were used be credited as authors on this movie? Transparency would be nice here.

It doesn't affect the run using 2023-08-09 (even tho I downloaded 08-10). As well as the title being a 600x450 game, so it wasn't "wrong" in the first place.

Superman throws an explanation stating you need a bios, so you need to find that file that it's telling you about then follow these steps, or throw that bios into the superman.zip file.

Here we go again. 🎯 Hopefully compared to Time Crisis this has a value that corresponds to the flash and can still continue to register hits.

sitting here looking at their fm2 that was slowly gathering dust over the past 7 years. Yeah... also thanks for keeping it as a single ship, it was always better than a dual ship. And yeah, this is also a full completion. Wouldn't branch it in my opinion... finally a proper, complete Galaga TAS has hit TASVidoes.

I'm iffy on the "Take damage save time" call. The player is stunned for an amount of frames before being able to attack again. It looks like it's more preferable to avoid taking damage and be more creative in attacking and it's probably more advantageous if the game has some form of light manipulation to proceed your attacks on those bosses. The tanking looks unnecessary and might actually be more of a issue for the TAS where you're losing frames for not going over it.

So first, the Ruffle exclusive bug I deliberately avoided, as it's only possible within libTAS and that's shooting elements that are off screen*. This means that I kept to the 600x450 screensize, validated in flash, and found out I can only shoot in a 1 to 599 on the horizontal field, as for the vertical all elements are already on screen, and the scrolling is fixed in the one case it does become a concern.
*Clarification. I'm referring to the fact that window resizing is not used to shoot elements/targets that are off-screen prior to starting a run.
