Trimmed to final A press for the humor aspect of this. 52213724312640515 Side Note: April Fools is in 92 days. And improved by 10 frames from that trim. Anyways. Welcome to TASVideos, F4LLOU7! Here at TASVideos we want movies that aim for perfection. While at a very brief glance this movie appears ok, upon closer inspection it clearly showed optimization demonstrative of a complete beginner to TASing. Unfortunately to top it off, your submission wouldn't be acceptable for a meme category as it doesn't constitute as beating the game anyway it has a better place as a userfile.

You mean the screenshot that was used in the previous Publication? If so, then nah. Especially when it was also used similarly on the one before that.

>Kwirk as an example. And that's what we call comparing Apples to Oranges. You want to know a better resolve for Kwirk? An "all puzzles" branch that clears everything the puzzle game offers obsoleting "Going Up?" in the process.

Tournament is basically the game's any%. Since you were even considering it to begin with by completely misreading what I stated. Tekken 3's branchless for this exact reason to keep itself separated from the only other branch "Tekken Force" (besides playaround). It's annoying enough that we're reinventing the wheel every 5 seconds with branches that shouldn't exist, especially for fighting games that don't need it. Tekken 3 also comes in line with Tekken and Tekken 2 since neither of those feature a secondary mode unlike Tekken 3's Tekken Force. Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and Guilty Gear for the quick examples besides Tekken where we don't have branches on the any% version of the game. This doesn't need a discussion about it. Use common sense and leave it branchless for it and only branch those that have the specific mode covered that isn't default/main game. --- Edit: Because you used Golden Axe as a defense let's go with that quickly. Golden Axe has 2 modes. An Arcade mode and a Duel mode. Ok, ready to see how you're meant to branch it? Arcade: Branchless Duel: Branch Not to mind you we also have 4 Golden Axe TASes that are branchless.

The upside to this is we're comparing a PS1 to a PS2 that probably has Fast Disk enabled.

Yeah, this doesn't exist on BizHawk and only exists on RetroArch and PCSX-Reloaded (well correctly that is). And wouldn't be used because it doesn't capture the true feed of the console itself.

And this is where I call for patience if you're specifically asking for YouTube since Publications are usually 4k.

Edit: Since the game refers to the mode as just "Tournament", I changed the label for this submission in order to remove the "Mode" word. Same for the published movie [2524] PSX Tobal 2 "Quest Mode" by pirohiko in 03:41.17.
Actually the logic would follow something like Tekken 3. Branchless for the Arcade mode (This one) and Branched for the random mode (Quest Mode).

If there's enough of a difference between opponents faced and the change in randomness (and to an extent post input as that's apparently the entertainment factor being changed) it might warrant a new submission instead of having this one replaced.

Right. I'm actually here to criticize this TAS since it is a TAStime oriented fighting TAS. This TAS features: 2 Controllers and 2 MemCards inserted. Reasoning: Saves a frame (Well the 2 Controllers does allow it) This becomes an issue where in reality pirohiko loses 204 frames because they didn't mess with the Controller/MemCards Config due to having stock. (Using: SCPH1000 like the TAS) But that's nothing right? This is the issue with doing a TAStime fighter TAS. Since it is a fighters TAS this can be done in within no time and revised almost instantly. If this was an IGT oriented TAS it would've been a small blemish. Here's the userfile. And as always. When doing PlayStation. FIX YOUR SETTINGS. Edit: 2 Controllers save 3 frames (unless I borked something)

I was getting excited through it thinking this would be about In Game-Time focused which would be awesome then the input stopped. Fighters of speed usually don't get great votes and I was about to vote Meh on Entertainment but once the type changed well I'm voting No now. I'm also curious on why you have your second controller inserted. I know that the bios does a controller/card check so is it because of this to change the randomness of each fight?

Just a note. I'm aware of the error on the YouTube and downloadables that slipped by about the information. Won't be able to get around to fixing it until next month, being the new year. For those wondering. The information that's displayed is coming from [3855] GBA Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow "Julius mode" by klmz in 03:48.14.

You're a bit late to the party PikachuMan. User has already done these things: - Create 2 Accounts (before submissions) - Split the same TAS between the two accounts - Been warned - Uploading the TAS to their WIP area... and their other one.

Melting encodes look like they're in a specific timeframe. Late 2010 - Early 2011. So it's safe to assume within here that the encodes have been screwed with by YouTube.

I can kinda mention this cause it's kinda true. Sega CD isn't supported as Multi-Disk... for now. There was a hot-addition to it that didn't pan out quite well and had issues.

It is. Pick the corresponding system that requires it (DO THIS FIRST): Apple][, Commodore 64 (C64), GameBoy (This is for Dual Link), PC-FX, PlayStation (PSX), Sega Saturn (SAT) or ZX Spectrum. Now after selecting the system browse and associate the filetype (using PlayStation in this case) that you require to use it (in my case the .cue file) then repeat till you have all the disks covered. Select "Browse" and then save it with the .xml extension it provides then Save and Run. To change disk select the console's you've chosen tab (PSX) and select Disk Controls. Press Open then select the next disk and then press Close. Congrats, you changed disks.

Here's the WIP TAS that was mentioned last time.

No it isn't you're just telling yourself that. If something that's incomplete for however long can still point to improvements that's including works of RTA being faster than TAS which has been a case in the past. Especially when it exists you can put it into the time for researching on what someone else which you yourself just touched on then decided to be dismissive of it on your next sentence(?), especially when it's faster than you in this regard by 94 frames. Then again, according to the forums to the other Submission, this Submission only took a day to make since it's the same file as that post's. Especially when you add on the fact the other took 3 days to make. Unless I have it wrong about the time according to submission's post and the other post, then this Submission was made 3 days and still falls into the boat of "how optimal is it really"?

I'm in a state of two minds here. The first is "YES A SPEEDY GOLF TAS" Whilst the other is "But... but I like lowest score runs more (-22 for this game)." Low score or Fastest time it is still entertaining but I don't have the feeling to vote Yes to this. So I'll have to abstain my vote. Then again others are comfortable in voting Yes so I don't think you'll have an issue with one missing vote.

I like how you ignored a point again just like you've done at EarthBound.

The WIP isn't the only thing that you should be looking at, there's also the published movie with hidden improvements over this submission (and that WIP).
