FINALLY YOU DONE DID THE WONDERSWAN VERSION. MY ENJOYMENT OF PUBLISHING NOTHING BUT CLOCKS RETURNS. I'll assume you're providing the temp encode like you've done in the past. (Edit: So you will be. That's fine still. People can wait a day for you CLOCKS) Blames ruadath for not providing after stating he would. Link to video Anyways, there's WonderClock. Edit 2: Forgot to write this. So... sorry. In the WonderSwan version you can run past Scissorman at his introduction. There's a file somewhere on the site that has this. Issue is I don't know where it is as I wasn't the uploader. ...And I can't find it... Welp... Because it's most likely somewhere on microstorage instead of onsite.

You already linked them. Don't keep persisting for people to download them. There's no point in downloading a 12 & 10 rerecord count movies that have already been criticised by other users in different ways already from the videos alone. Reread what MESHUGGAH wrote and better yourself in your abilities to TAS.

Tool Assisted is 40 seconds. Real Time is 49/50 seconds (showing a full run. Single level and not an RTA run is 42 seconds). You're around 2 minutes.

First, I don't knew that was forbidden to do an submission text with so many .gif to explain.
This was never an issue until now as you have officially created the largest submission just from gifs. Learn to both crop & compress your gifs. Cause you have 83 gifs and all/most are above 1mb. Using the first gif you've provided as an example. 1.26MB -> Cropped 290x203 -> 1.21MB -> Optimized (35) -> 713.78kb 1.26MB -> Cropped 290x203 -> 1.21MB -> Optimized (70) -> 601.07kb Image is still relatively fine at 70 since this is a 2D game so I'll go 90 and 100 this time. 1.26MB -> Cropped 290x203 -> 1.21MB -> Optimized (90) -> 558.2kb 1.26MB -> Cropped 290x203 -> 1.21MB -> Optimized (100) -> 543.94kb Without trying much I was able to get well below half the size of what you provided with only a tiny sacrifice in the quality of the gifs. And for hypothetical reasonings let's just say everything is 1.3MB so we get 107.9MB and we get them all down to 550kb. Wow look at that a hypothetical 45.65mb... Jesus this would still be the largest submission just from the amount of gifs... I'd probably look into a bit more cropping like the hud out and a justifiable amount from the bottom just to slim it down. Extra Note: WE DON'T NEED *83 GIFS ON MOVEMENT AND ATTACKING HOLY HELL. Cause that's what all 83 gifs are unneeded/unwanted garbage that fills up the void. *It's technically 82 as you have 2 items as gifs and one png that should be a gif.
zoboner wrote:
Sometimes, I have even submit more than it in my old submissions.
No you don't. This is the one that has the most gifs. Second place went to your Castlevania 64 TAS which I later converted all the gifs to not be 2MB and instead got it under 1MB. --- Now let's change gears. Version preference.
zoboner wrote:
Second, I can understand that you dislike this PAL version for this reason , but it's just an artistic choice to entertain with music.
That's a poor justification for using PAL. I'll give you an example of a good justification. The Crash Bandicoot 2 TAS that went by used the PAL version as Crash is actually able to move faster due to the lower framerate (and what Naughty Dog did to the code) giving him an advantage over NTSC. Crash 2 is the only Crash game where the justification of using PAL is given due to the movement advantage. The previous title and the third game in the title use NTSC as PAL's advantage in speed is nullified to what NTSC has (and the fact that NTSC-J actually shortens a level for the first game.) Give a proper justification over using the PAL version instead of saying "music is better", cause that's not a reason, that's just a lazy excuse for using the what could be the wrong version used.

That's honestly fine. If there's more to iron out that you can spot you might as well do it. Just submit the improvement and make it go through the process of judgement again.

Though TASVideos usually requires the author to play on the hardest difficulty, I wanted to showcase just how ludicrously short this game can be. The final boss (the Minotaur) first appears in the 2nd chamber on "Easiest". On "Hard", the Minotaur would first appear in the 12th, and you have to survive one hell of a gauntlet just to get there. A "Hard" TAS would be a much more difficult, longer, and ambitious project which I simply don't have the time for.
Would rather watch hardest if I'm honest. Especially when there's more content. Voting Meh on Entertainment.

For manipulation sake, you want to keep the rabbits on a single side and preferably you want them to come out of the 3 closest holes (which is possible, just time consuming). I think this is a game that is good enough to have a TAS hit the kill screen and it'll land in the vault, that's from my point of view. Best of luck if you're taking this project.

Cause the encode cuts "short". (And videos I've checked brings up nothing... and I don't want to turbo this.) Does this pull up credits? I know "Best/Bad Ending" does (one is hours, the other is minutes).

As hopper and I wrote. Look for the game loop. If you see the very first colour of Brown/Orange again after going through different colours before it should be your stopping point.

If you want a better version of this topic. Eurogamer's Digital Foundry covers the topic in an article... as well as a video (which is located in that article).

Useless topic is useless. If your file is in the fm3 format (TAS Editor) File > Export to FM2 (You know the thing you should do before submitting, instead of submitting an evil fm3 file, which is possible.) Now within BizHawk. Run NES Game. Drag & Drop the FM2 into Hawk. Congrats, your movie is converted. --- If those simple 3 steps didn't work here's the other way: Run NES Game. File > Movie > Import Movies... Find the FM2 file you wished to convert.

I'm so glad you didn't submit this. Long gif is long (1 minute, 21 seconds. 639kb). However the point should become apparent very quickly. This is just the first board being completed. Left is me modifying your input to hell. Right is the input you provided. My side is synced to yours. Your "reduced words" wasn't reduced enough. (Mine probably wasn't either. But this is just to prove a point) Take to heart what the judges have written on your previous two submissions. Don't submit this else you will become limited.

From the Time Crisis thread. Your times are faster than the nicovideo one that exists (with controller). However it's got a segment slower compared to antd's Stage 1, Area 2. It might be related to PCSX-rr vs Hawk where it has a fast disk, but I kinda doubt it in this case. However, this is just a point out. *Stage 1 - Area 2 Clear: antd: 1'22"76 DrDk9: 1'22"96 (Lower is better) *This carries from the Area 1 times, so antd caught up to yours after trailing for .53 seconds from the previous room.

Yeah, we're waiting for Hawk to support GunCon for a reason. Which I do bug about on occasions. Abstained. Good Job making one. But it's also late considering the several over on nico that exist pre-Hawk (iirc).

No it isn't. Take out the thing that's missing (which is the bios) and that point is invalid, infact when you time it to the same frame yours is faster. An actual big difference is at Yemma's Office. criticaluser leaves much faster than you do. The other big difference (that I recall besides grinding) is the fight against Pikkon. criticaluser ends is much, much faster than what you perform.

Evan a few things. Learn how to vote for ENTERTAINMENT and not general being a dick. Stop ignoring information that's given to you on what not to do as you continue to do it. (Cause copy+pasting previous points is boring.) It's not required when you're obsoleting the previous "warps" TAS. If you're that much on having a pissy fit how about you make your own "warpless" TAS. Oh wait... your track record is poor with no signs of improvement as a TASer or user.

It appears that nicovideo is having a bit of an issue with the player, redirecting you to nico itself and not playing it back. Which isn't an issue for those that have a nico account. For those that don't have a nico account I did a mirror to YouTube for temporary reasoning as nico is being interesting at the moment. Here's the link to the temporary YouTube mirror. I'm not embedding it on the forums. (Even no-nicovideo account players had issues on my end, so mirroring it is simpler and quicker.) As for a vote. I'm giving it a straight Yes.
