Personally I think you should go for a different game, or at the very least, attempt to improve the existing Super Metroid TASes. Hacks tend to be given more of a critical eye than licensed games, generally with good reason (most of them are not worth bothering with) and the ability to get some variety in your gameplay is the sign of a good TASer. Just my coupla coins though.

Ok I just finished watching, and I have to say this is quite different in a lot of places to Megaman/Rockman 2. The behaviour of Item-2 is the most notable change, but it appears weaknesses are different in certain places. As such, I'm going to need a lot more information about this hack before I can make an informed vote. First off, would a different order be better? Explain why you chose the order you did. Second, there are a couple of places where you stop, whether this was to perform a trick I'm not sure, and in one place you stop in order to kill a few enemies before continuing. Third, I notice you perform death abbreviation on only a few bosses. Why only those few, and why would it not be faster on all of them? Fourth, wall zipping. In Rockman 2 the wall zipping seems to be quite consistently performed in a straight line, but here it appears to force you downwards, forcing the pause abuse in at least one level. Any particular reason why it is so different here, and are there steps to improve this? Fifth, you mention a new glitch but do not explain what it is/how it affects the stage. There are a lot of glitches used already, so it is hard for a casual observer such as myself to identify. Sixth, can you only use one Item-3 at a time? If not, then you wasted time in Heatman stage waiting for the disappearing blocks. Seventh, are there any possible improvements that you may know about but were unable to perform?

http://tasvideos.org/UnmirroredMovies/Unstreamed.html Why is this list considered to be the highest priority for encodes? I cannot find a single movie that isn't obsoleted.

Hm, these seem to have disappeared from Rapidshare. I was hoping to make use of them to aid in Fire Emblem TASing. Any chance of a re-upload?

If you can manipulate your starting stats, I'm sure you can manipulate the stats gained on level up. Also, I notice you accept one random battle before Aps, and two before Reno. Are these not avoidable?

I did have to watch it in RAM yes - 00FFF8CE is the address for Swimmer stamina. It appears in the Training but not in any of the Olympic modes, which is how I knew about it in the first place.

I found it very entertaining how you wasted all of the other competitors in each event, especially the racing ones. However, I noticed that the times on some of the events varied between rounds (e.g., you got 1:43.4 on the second round of the swimming race). Why is that?
I'm not sure myself why I lost a tenth of a second on the second Swimming event. I tried redoing it a couple of times to no avail. I'm guessing because of the strange perspective of the swimming pool (which makes the front swimmers appear closer, but stretches the pool) might have a factor in it. I'm sure there are better ways to TAS the swimming but I can only do so much without making a bot or script capable of selecting the best times to input A and B. It is interesting to note that pressing A appears to give more of a boost than pressing B, so maybe the number of A and B presses is a factor too. Keeping the Stamina up was the real issue, so as long as I didnt go over that I was still making a good time, but it is a discrepancy I'm not happy with either, but have so far not found a solution to fix.

http://tasvideos.org/Sgrunt/DIVXMovies.html This is another list that needs improved movies, apparently. I've already started on Flashback, gonna work my way through the Genesis games on this list and the Unmirrored Movie list.

I was wondering what to make of all the jumping around at the start, but this had an awesome conclusion. Yes vote from me! Also I would call for this as a separate category than Mukki's TAS, simply because both runs are great and deserve to be on the site.

Excuse me, but that isn't a great reason to vote against this submission. You could petition an admin to get that vote changed back, ya know. If that is what you want?
Sorry, I thought it was another of those April Fools submissions trying to fool me. The site was indeed slow, but all the buttons loaded at the same time, so I voted No on purpose.
Did you even watch it? Seems rather unfair if you ask me. :-(

Well, that is the limitation of the game for one, and for two this was made for the Barcelona Olympics, so I'm guessing such a record would be inconcievable at the time, and for three Michael Phelps is not the current World Record holder for 200m freestyle - that currently belongs to Paul Biedermann of Germany!

Another multi-player option opens up now that VBA can be linked to Dolphin - Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles for GameCube. This is definitely one that should be done in 4-player mode for the win. :-)

Gonna give this a Meh. Racing games are generally boring to watch unless there's something different happening, and apart from the odd shortcut this doesn't grab my attention.

http://www.insidegamer.nl/nintendods/pokmonheartgold/nieuws/29248/Intertoys-Pokmon-HeartGold-uitgesteld-vanwege-bug.html Translated from Dutch:
News | March 23, 2010 - The release of Pokemon Gold Heart is under an employee of Inter Toys indefinitely postponed by an error somewhere. According Intertoys appears a bluescreen while playing. This makes it impossible for the game at all for the first time to start without error in the following image. We can confirm that from my own research Heart Gold indeed an error on startup. The error message displayed stored data can not be read to the Nintendo DS and restart, the same message back into view. Soul Silver is doing as far as we have to test it properly. We have contacted Nintendo Benelux, but they can not yet confirm this bug. At present there is still no confirmation from Nintendo on the postponement of Pokemon Gold Heart. We hope as soon as possible to get clarification from Nintendo.
This is quite scary, how quickly fake DS copies of Heart Gold have reached circulation. I know from experience how prevalent fake GBA Pokemon games, and it seems the DS has not escaped this trade. I am posting to bring this to people's attention, and to be careful where you buy your games - fake games use an imported ROM of the game which eventually breaks down and become impossible to use, the GBA fakes seem to last a few weeks to a month, this might work even less well.

I don't think people are quite getting my point. Sure, with a bit of knowhow it is simple to do yourself, but it should be offered as a matter of course from the site, like other encodes already are. That was my point. :-)

If the solution is as simple as just entering a random battle before Air Buster, then it seems like the logical thing to do in order to progress. Good news that this hasn't died though, can't wait to see more!

I didnt actually say that, but it is kind of true. I think offering a single screen encode is more a matter of convenience rather than anything else. :-)
