It’s only my personal opinion, but honestly, I hate camhack encodes. They usually cause more questions than answers. Why? Because they make the viewer see what they’re not supposed to see, including camhack’s own glitches (death pose in some places, visual glitches between the acts and so on). They make the run look more like a fake one. For me, camhack is a tool for the TASers, the public should see the picture exactly as it would be produced by the original console. If I do camhack encodes, I usually make them private and show only in this forum.

It’s probably irrelevant, but 3 of 5 workers of the programming department of the company where I work in, are girls. I’m not one of them though, but being kind of disappointed with my gender, I prefer to be a girl virtually here.

Well, but we didn’t modify the game, it’s 1 hit, but it’s real.
Example. Again, the viewer somehow decided that you’ve modified the game, maybe it wasn’t clear that it’s done using built-in options (menu selection is really fast and hard to see anything). I wouldn’t worry so much about it, look at the rating at the movie on your channel, 34 «yes» 0 «no» ;)
And I’d kindly ask you not to cancel the submission on your own without asking kaan and me since it’s not your solo work ^^

As far as I know, that particular ring was discovered during working on Amy@S3K improvement, as the new method for this level involves reaching that area.

I remember doing a successful level-wrap in some other way, can’t tell you exactly.
The problem is that level-wrap is absolutely useless for Knuckles in this level, because you’ll not be able to take proper Y position quickly enough.
Don’t waste your time, you’ll not be able to beat the level sucessfully if you succeed at level-wrap. :)

I never played it, but I highly doubt — the glitches used here are common for all Sonic games (the original ones as well), they are not introduced by the hack’s developers. In fact, the developers even fixed one of the common bugs, known as level-wrap, it’s written in the description.

The thing I love about AIZ2 is how many times you perform extremely hard and nearly-impossible tunnel tricks like jumping in without loosing speed, reversing inside the tunnel. Casual players and TASers who never played Sonic have no idea how deadly tricky it is, and you perform it many times in a row, it gives me crazy amount of satisfaction =D
Because I usually give up when I have to perform it once, just once :)

I feel fine with doing the special stages, as kaan55 does there exactly the same as within the normal stages — collects the rings.
Rings shouldn’t have a place to escape from a ring attack :)

In this level, when you reach certain X position, the boss art begins loading. And it takes quite a while — so much that when you reach the boss room in a tool-assisted run, it’s still loading and boss will not appear until it’s done. Fortunately, there is a bug (or even feature) in this game: if you pause when the art started loading, it will continue loading while the timer will not tick.
So, the idea is: when the pointer begins changing between frames, pause the game as early as possible to keep it changing, then unpause it as early as it’s just enough for the next item to start loading. You can use my RAM watch file for this game. The watch is called “PLC queue pointer”.

Just note that in MBZ1 the score count is not skipped, as I stopped recording before that point, and kaan55 merged it into his WIP without skipping the score count.
(upd) I’ve TASed the final boss fight and got 0:14.55 (or 0:14.53? Honestly I don’t know). Here is the gmv, based on the last kaan55’s WIP.
I also found a much faster way to enter the terrain in MBZ2, but I couldn’t do anything good with it.

I also thought it could be possible for Amy, but I preferred not to think of it when doing the run, as I didn’t know the exact way to do it and also I didn’t optimize the non in-game time much (the current run even has a speed-entertainment tradeoff where I enter the floor after CNZ2). :)

Oh… Sorry for that poor guy… Okay I agree =D
Sounds nice, but somehow Aglar & Zurggriff make TASes that are deadly hard to improve by one fucking frame :)

Sorry, I started TASing before you asked, so I’m here with a little different result.
Here is a faster way to beat SNZ1 :)
http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1265524998/s1mm.gmv
I also think that you can improve it even further if you try harder, maybe somewhere I missed possible double-jumps, who knows.
I also remember doing a test TAS of SNZ2 using ultra mega hyper necrozma Shadow, but I am lazy to look for the gmv, here is the video:

I’ll test if I can apply tricks from there for Sonic as well.
