I think Croc 2 would make a more interesting TAS but that could be because I never played this one. Go for it and let the WIPs decide if it is worth finishing.

Yes vote. It's an improvement and I love how the run makes it seem like you spit your enemies to death.

Yes vote. The 2 last levels were not as entertaining as the 3 first but it seemed very well executed and I loved the shortcuts, can't really see any direct improvements to the "routes".

This game drove me insane when I was a kid. Can't wait for the encode so that I can watch this.

Watched part 14 only to find out that the Japanese version can use the warp outside the Palace of the Windsentrance... This is really odd as Japan (released first) can warp from that location Europe (released second) can't warp from that location US (released last) can warp from that location I need to check the Japanese run to see if they have the extra tornado seen on the US version. Otherwise it makes me think that the European version is like a V0.9 (due to some typos and one of those unable to warp from here spot) whilst the other 2 versions are V1.0
I noticed this too, having only played the E rom. I just thought he managed to glitch it somehow.

Interesting idea of the hack but it wasn't very entertaining. Also there's too many missed shots... No vote, mainly because of bad hack choise.

Meh vote. Not knowing Myst all to well this seemed to have the complexity of Duck Hunt.

I liked the run and it seemed optimized. Some moments of the run were also quite funny. Specially the glitch ~2 minutes into part 2 of the YouTube encode. Yes vote.

There was a few graphical problems in this hack but overall I found it very enjoyable and it had some really strange moments which made me laugh. I'd like to see this submitted.

Well, the main reason that this uses a JPN rom as I understand it is that the TASer did not have the intention to submit this run to TASvideos until he was contacted after that he had completed the TAS and encouraged to post it here. So in my opinion voting no just because the Japanese rom was used is mentally ill. What message will it send? Currently this feels a lot like "Hey, lets invite him to TASvideos and encourage him to post his TAS just so we can reject it because it was made using the wrong language rom". I cannot speak for the quality of play though, I have followed the instructions but it desyncs in the menu for me. So I am one of those who are waiting for an encode or to be able to watch the nicovideo upload without the cuts. I am saving my vote for later.

Aw, that sucks. To properly test this you need to measure the distance you can travel, how many frames you need to travel the distance and how many frames are needed for cool down before you can jump/slide again. Considering the level layouts this may vary... I cannot exactly remember if Crash's speed was affected by uphill or downhill movement. But this may also be worth checking, because then you may wish to use different movement techniques depending on the ground.

Meh vote. For someone who doesn't know the game this was incredibly boring.

I have an Acer Timeline 3810TZ and I love it but it has no CD/DVD reader, the bigger model does though. The 4810, they are a bit expensive but have a look at them, if you do not use it for anything heavy the battery can last up to 8-10 hours.

Woohoo! Multi-minute improvement to MM1 coming!
That makes the run less entertaining, because it eliminates even more actual gameplay.
But it adds more "WTF" to the final video, which is good, nothing is more entertaining than something that seems to happen out of nowhere.

Yes vote. I was fairly entertained and it looked like it was a lot of work put into this. It probably has a high entertainment value if you actually played the game.

Yes vote. It's an improvement and the main character in this game has to be one of the cutest ever.

But as Tompa said, the "text handling" could have been done better and he probably didn't use a few of the later tricks. Also his movement seems a bit unoptimized, I am not sure but I think pushing items is faster than pulling them. EDIT: Added the rest of the parts.

Something that probably would be fun to see is "Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge"

This is the "correct" link: http://megaupload.com/?d=FCMDASUI Just some syntax error. Something must have gotten messed up when the OP posted it.

I'd watch this, I liked how Mukki did the 2 earlier games in the series and I think this game has the same potential. A 25 Crystals + bosses run would be the most interesting. You should definitively explore possible abuse of the whirlwind spin to skip portions of the future-themed levels etc. You should also have a look at the non-TAS run at Speed Demos Archive, it may give you some hints and tricks for this run. Sadly I will not be able to watch your wips if you don't post them on youtube or something as I have only the European game and cannot find an American. (NOTE: This is not a rom request)
