SGB mode doesn't work at all in 1.4.1. Note that only the SNES core crashes, but BizHawk still runs. For the record: SNES ROMs as well as GB ROMs (when not run in SGB mode) work fine.

I know, I know. It's just that I don't really like the way this movie ends, because taking a lot of damage from the spikes before the game ends proper doesn't exactly look good... at least in my opinion.

Ehh... Should I be honest? The movie was well made, but... I didn't like watching Skull Man's stage (I blame the constant charging with the Mega Buster) and the balloon/jet section of Cossack 1 (too many missed shots). I also don't like how the movie ends while you still have control of Mega Man (in my opinion, it should end as soon as the life bar and the timer disappear). In the end, I give it a Yes vote, but it's not a strong one, for the reasons mentioned above.

1 week and 2 days passed, and I finally did it. I beat Castlevania: The Adventure. Movie file Emulator used: BizHawk 1.4.0 ROM used: Castlevania Adventure, The (USA) Yeah, I went with the original B&W release this time. I was so close to even beating it deathless. (sorry for double posting, but I think this warrants a new post)

No vote for the rather abrupt ending. ..just kidding. This gets very much a Yes vote from me, because this is probably the best way of showing the first few digits of Pi.

VBA inaccurately lags less. Also, VBA has issues with Pikachu's voice samples (it plays them at a low volume, when it should be at full volume (like in BizHawk/Gambatte or a real GBC)).

And the reason version 2.0 is still the version of VVVVVV that Steam users are getting is because 2.0 is the most recent official "release", which is what pertains to this run.
To go on further, if you buy VVVVVV from the official site (which you have to use, since Hourglass can't run the Steam version (at least for me)), you still get 2.0. As it is right now, 2.1 is a beta release, not the latest official release. And before you ask: When I found out that you can't run the Steam version on Hourglass, I bought it from the official site moments after the TAS was submitted. I got 2.0. On another note: I gave my Yes vote some time ago, because this TAS is well done.

One day, I will beat the steaming piece of garbage that is Castlevania: The Adventure. Emulator used: BizHawk 1.4.0 ROM used: Konami GB Collection Vol.1 (Europe) That spike section in the final stage is more difficult than I thought (probably because of the terrible jumping this game has). In more lighter news: In the past few months, I 1cc'd Perfect Cherry Blossom on Normal with ReimuB, The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil on Normal with MarisaA and Subterranean Animism on Normal with ReimuA. YouTube videos: Perfect Cherry Blossom The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil Subterranean Animism For the former two, commentary is available in closed captions, but for the last one, the commentary is hardcoded into the video as hard subs (thanks, Avisynth). The replays for the 1cc's are in their respective video descriptions.

Thanks for completely missing this line: Mar 04 17:18:59 <fsvgm777> When I say "I don't care for MLP", it doesn't mean that I like it. It just means I have zero opinion on MLP. And personally, I don't find it that memorable. It's more of a dumb generalisation, because there are TASers out there that don't watch (or like) MLP. The TAS score record for UFO has been improved further ~3 months ago (forgot to post about it). Here it is. (replay file) And yes, the score is real.

Just checked myself (in BizHawk 1.4.0, after converting the SMV myself), and... It syncs just fine. With that being said, this gets a Yes vote from me. (vote based on the improvement, not whether it synced in BizHawk) KFCMARIO, I guess just upload the BKM and post it here and ask to replace the SMV with the BKM.

I could send you the AVI dump I made at the time I encoded the movie (that was over a year ago), if you wish. ..although, the movie syncs fine for me in both r71 and r81, though some sound effects are off sync. I believe it's an issue with Hourglass and not the game.

Your run's better than last time, but near the end (I believe second-to-last level before the "final boss" (can you even call him a final boss?)), I noticed optimisation issues. Namely, you mis-jumped and shortly after you succeed in doing that jump, you look up for no apparent reason (both happen at around frames 93000-95500, if I'm not mistaken, might need to re-check). Sorry, voting no (both entertainment-wise and regarding publication to the Vault) for that. I also noticed that just before the final boss fight starts, you pause the game because you very likely had the Start button on auto-fire for too long. ..my god, the music is horrible in this game. Like, I almost wanted to mute VBA and listen to different music while watching the TAS (note: this has nothing to do with the TAS itself).

Isn't Frankenstein supposed to look like this: Anyway, I vote "meh" for entertainment. It's pretty much the same glitch repeated over and over again. The TAS itself is well done, however.

Two minor complaints: * Audio only comes out from the right side. * Nintendulator always outputs at 256x240, so you need to crop the top 8 and the bottom 8 pixels for NTSC games, which is as simple as Crop(0, 8, -0, -8) (or Crop(clip, 0, 8, -0, -8), where clip is the Nintendulator capture) in Avisynth. Other than that, nice comparison video.

Apologies for double posting, but I just beat SML again. This time, I did it in BizHawk 1.1.1b, because it's more accurate than VBA, since BizHawk uses the Gambatte core for GB. Movie file Only one stupid death this time around. Movie ends just before the ending (after Mario disappears to the right after I beat 4-3). I also somehow managed to make a block disappear after I hit it in 4-2. EDIT: I used the v1.1 ROM, by the way.

What CoolKirby said in his post is correct, though. It seems like BizHawk 1.1.1 doesn't detect GBC games properly. Namely, if I load a GBC game, the title bar only shows " - [name of the game]" instead of "Game Boy Color - [name of the game]". The GBC games load as they should, but since BizHawk 1.1.1 doesn't recognise them properly (no system shown in the title bar and no "GBC" in the menu), it won't acknowledge the button presses. When a GB game runs: When a GBC game runs:

I stopped watching after the third stage. In the third stage, you go to a bonus game to get a 1-up for no apparent reason. A bit later, you forget to jump after destroying the cage, losing time this way. Sorry, but No vote. Definite lack in optimisation. What I suggest to you is to make WIP TASes (in short, you show your progress in the TAS after every stage or so) of a game first, then post it in the appropriate game thread (for the appropriate console) and/or in the French forum. Take especially the advice of other users in consideration in order to make your TAS better.

Stage 4 was the only entertaining part of the TAS. The rest was really boring to watch. I'm voting no due to bad game choice, just like pretty much everyone else so far.
