ok...you obviously put some work into this. Nice rerecord count, no blank frames at the end. That is all we know. Can you please change your posting so that it says something other than the template guide?

Thanks Moth for that article. Seems I have missed some information, but wasn't sure that their was a definite statement on considering it a hoax. When I first started looking into this...I wasn't sure either way. But this TAS (and previous submission) is surely putting that to rest as a hoax.

Wow...I'm impressed. As with Omnigamer's effort, the disassembly of this game takes it a new level. I was about 7 when the Atari came out and never realized it would still be reversed engineered to this day. This was back in the day when Machine Language / Assembly writing was just about he only way to take advantage of small "On-Board" memory and slow processing. Most of these older Atari games don't entertain me much, but the effort for invalidating Todd Roger's 5.51 through TASing, has absolutely entertained me. YES YES YES! P.S. My opinion of Todd's WR run: I originally was thinking it could have been a hardware burp, but his demonstration in front of Activision (on another machine, I believe) should have proved that it wasn't. With the level of TASing Mr Wint has shown over his past submissions, this submission is enough to make me start believing that the human WR is a hoax.

Thanks. Since I've started TASing, I have had the idea to TAS as many of the games that I've purchased during my time with my Super Nintendo.
feos wrote:
but it just doesn't have enough entertaining content to compensate for its length. The music gets annoying, the actual puzzle solutions aren't always comprehensible, twitching around the exit to spend the downtime doesn't add much value on it own.
This is completely understandable. One of my goals in TASing, especially one that hasn't been submitted before, is to find a theoretical completion time. As expected, the entertainment mostly came from those burst of maneuvers that organized the rats to their final destination...yet, I know that most viewers would have had something to say about sitting around doing nothing; however, with very limited movement capabilities...it was a struggle to try and figure out something.
feos wrote:
At times game-play gets really intense and impressive, but most of the time you just have to sit through the boring parts.
In regards to the intense parts...those were the times that I enjoyed it the most. During each of those frames, there was something to ponder. Even though this TAS took almost 4 months to make, that time was due to the intensity that you referred to. The other parts were just completing the game...because it had to be done.
feos wrote:
Lack of much viewer appreciation seems to be reasonable for this run. Execution was amazing, I personally liked it a lot, but I can only accept it to Vault.
True...my colleges from various gaming communities have noted that this is not a very popular game, and thus led to the lack of viewership. Thank you feos. There aren't too many people that knew or cared a lot about this game, but its nice to see that you had some experience with it. Your judgments are accurate and well understood.

Yes! Top speed makes a good showing. Just curious, were you braking at certain spots due to unavoidable traffic?

JoshButro, are you planning on making a TAS of the X-pert Levels? I would like to see this game get finished with all that it has to offer. Making a TAS for the main part was fun, but I see that these extra levels are going to be highly difficult to optimize.

Once again, YES! To reiterate from the last version...it is simply amazing to see this game played at top speed. I remember not being able to play this game around a speed of 35 or higher..so this makes it extremely entertaining to watch. Great work!

Again, YES VOTE! I still love how people are able to make home brew games that can capture the essence of the original classic on older machines. Nice game, and nice TAS. I'm for having both categories...as deathless and any% both demonstrate unique qualities. At least with this version, you can see all of the worlds in their entirety.

Hello All, Been currently working on Krusty's Super Fun House (SNES) and decided to share my work so far. After going through Area 1, I started thinking that this game was not TAS worthy; however, Area 2 started showing me that I was wrong. Maybe some of you can share your thoughts. Here is a video that I created of areas 1, 2, and 3 Note that in Area 3, I have not added any fill-in inputs for when krusty is sitting around doing nothing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCd9J4Y8O18 Here is some technical data that I picked up from RAM Watching: 7e002E (Bonus Timer) 7e00D3 (Related to game play, 1 when inputs are accepted, 0 when they aren't) 7e0048 (Rats remaining) 7e0056 (X Position of Krusty, relative to the map of the room he is currently in) 7e005A (Y Position of Krusty, relative to the map of the room he is currently in) 7e030C (X Speed - incremental counter before altering X Speed (pixels)) 7e030D (X Speed in pixels) 7e030E (Y Speed - incremental counter before altering Y Speed (pixels)) 7e030F (Y Speed in pixels) 7e11A4 (Health - 99 is the max, either 10 points or 15 points are subtracted for certain hits) Here is a listing of the levels visited, in game order, to know what to expect: *Note: I have tried my best to be as scientific as possible when determining the following, but rest assured that it is my way of noting the strength of this TAS. 0 Being humanly comparable in terms of Time 10 Being impossible for a human to measure up to. Area 1-1: 0 Area 1-2: 10 Area 1-3: 0 Area 1-4: 10 Area 1-5: 0 Area 1-6: 4 Area 1-7: 6 Area 1-8: 10 Area 2-1: 6 Area 2-2: 7 Area 2-3: 10 Area 2-4: 3 Area 2-5: 7 Area 2-6: 10 Area 2-7: 10 Area 2-8: 10 Area 2-9: 10 Area 2-10: 10 Area 3-1: 10 Area 3-2: 7 Area 3-3: 10 Area 3-4: 10 Area 3-5: 10 Area 3-6: 10 Area 3-7: 5 Area 3-8: 8 Area 3-9: 9 Area 3-10: 10 Area 3-11: 10 Area 3-12: 10 Area 3-13: 10 Area 3-14: 7

Great TAS! I am impressed. I didn't think 54 minutes was possible. My version 2 TAS was hoping for sub hour. I would be interested in seeing a screen by screen comparision of frames. I know some screens had lots of frames to save, and some had little if any. I really would like to see this accepted as a good improvement on the current TAS. Maybe someone could memorize this route and RTA it under an hour lol. Great job nymx. --josh
