It's almost as if being a dick to people makes people be a dick to you. Who knew.

Is anyone working on a bizhawk TAS of this? I'm really inspired by the ending of this game after watching how powerful the end of the recent new WR is: http://www.twitch.tv/furiouspaul/v/14846720 I looked at the published run, and it looks like most of the improvement there is through SNES9x's terrible lag emulation for this video game. Though there were some damage boosts, etc. I know nothing about the gameplay/mechanics of this game, but I'm excited for any new developments that would inspire runners to look at them, and now this game seems really due for some attention from TASers/Bizhawk.
Funny story is, at the time we made the run, Snes9x 1.43 already was beginning to fall out of favor, but we pushed ahead with it regardless. I kinda regret not using Snes9x 1.51 after the fact. I know of a number of improvements to the currently published run that need to be implemented, but good luck finishing a run. This game kills WIPs like no other. (Plus I'm still searching for an improvement to Cardboard and Bablo's part, which is, for all intents and purposes, perfect.)

That was very nice. The route was very peculiar. I was wondering, since the Tinkerbat form in GBA only lets you climb walls like the spider, couldn't it theoretically be used to skip the entire third dungeon in an any% TAS? Other than that, the forward warp to the zombie caravan was really cool, definitely one of those things I did not see coming. Yes vote.

The output of the Trace Logger depends on the system you're on, as different systems have different CPUs with different assembly languages. To make sense of what the Trace Logger puts out, you need to know the ISA of the CPU you're working with and understand ASM in general. On the example of NES, here's your average Trace Logger line and what it means.
C5C3 8D STA $2007 A:00 X:04 Y:E1 P:B5 SP:FD Cy:212836 NTBIC

C5C3: The location of the instruction that is currently being executed.
8D: The opcode, in this case (STA, absolute).
STA $2007: The current instruction.
A:00 X:04 Y:E1 P:B5 SP:FD: The current state of the NES CPU registers in Hex BEFORE the instruction was executed.
Cy: The total amount of CPU clock cycles that have passed so far.
NTBIC: The NES CPU flags that are set before the instruction was executed.
On Bizhawk, different cores put different things in the trace logger, depending on the system. Some of the above applies to other cores, some of it doesn't. To get more specific help, post the system you're using and if there's any specific section about it that's giving you trouble.

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until the Mountain world for the next major place where we can use it. It'll be good.

Nice improvement. Incidentally, I wish most of the tricks in this game's levels were applicable to the Genesis version. Do you really need to take the long rope ride in Agrabah RottyRooftops? In the Genesis version, you can skip it. Yes vote.

Link to video Worms Armageddon - Mech Workshop. The game mostly has lots of ambient tunes like that.

.kkapture may be worth looking at. VirtualDub's AVI recorder is an alternative to FRAPS and DxTory, but I've had AV sync / video hiccup issues with it. You should try looking into setting up your system for video recording. Unfortunately, I am not the expert on this.

This was one of the better GDQs in general, and listing every run I considered a highlight would take way too long. So if you really need to watch anything, watch the Tetris Block: Link to video

I don't understand the negative response entertainment-wise. I found it short and interesting enough to vote yes.

Link to video Roller Mobster. Need I say more? And, as a bonus, the Stage Finished theme, Dust by M.O.O.N. After all the carnage, when the dust settles, this theme is all you've left. Man.

I liked the run quite a lot. Just one question, what happened to the death fight, yo?
Minotaur + Werewolf, Succubus, Richter, Death, and Dracula are all removed from Richter mode.
Oh, I see. Thanks for the answer.

We could, but the cages we skip are very far out of the way which means we'd effectively have to run through the screen twice. We deemed it would be better to wait for the Running Power to collect the final three.

Hello and welcome to TASvideos, Technicalgordon. We have a Super Mario World thread if you want to post your run there. Cheers.
