Okay, here's a quick WIP made with Snes9x 1.51 http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1731090186/scimrpehcv4.smv I chose to stick with the cross, though I'm not sure about this choice. Aside from that, if I missed any notable improvements, let me know /and a quick encode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gT8YfAKv5Lk

I am at a loss of words to describe what I just saw. Words like epic, wonderful or awesome just fail to do this justice

I generally dislike it if people say a submission put them to sleep because it's just rude and hostile to the author. I mean, come on, those are only 11 minutes. If this is enough to put you to sleep, you ought to have one of the shortest attention spans I've seen. That being said, the game is indeed too slow in pace and too repetetive to warrant a yes. From all I could see, this was technically well done, but there really aren't enough facettes of gameplay to make the run notable. If there is a faster paced version of the game with more elaborate gameplay mechanics, you should try tasing that. So, Sorry, but it's a no.

Second one ought to be Harmony of Dissonance. Correct? /Or, Harmony had a different HUD. Aria of Sorrow instead. ...and Mega Man zero, And tons of other stuff, now that I take a closer look.

Old versions of DesMuMe had tons of lag in NSMB's map world screen I think which version 9.6 eliminated As for your problem at hand, this might help: http://wiki.desmume.org/index.php?title=Faq#DeSmuME_runs_too_slow.21

This allows one backstab per 15 frames instead.

The ROM might be bad (don't know what the (Legacy) means). You should be using the (U) Rom anyway, as this one is preferred. You also should detail how exactly your problem manifests. Is the game just running incredibly slow, are there bugs, etc.?

I can run DOS mostly fine, so you might want to state the ROM you use and perhaps post your config. Anyway, good luck with that 100% souls run, I'd love to see it

I had considered this, because I'm interested how fast the game can just be completed that way.

Dear lord, all of you keep referring to events I'd been too new here to know about. Fill me in, please.

Leave them be, I'd say. If they want to play the game like that and aren't into TASing, that's their thing. In addition, it's true that some emulators are better suited for actual playing than ours (I, for example, prefer ZSNES over Snes9x), so it's not worth starting an argument over which emulator gets the "idiot"-stamp.

Technically, it should be possible, though I've yet to see an actual emulator for doing so. The easiest way I guess would be to just emulate windows instead and run a flash game from there, but that's another story of its own.

You could always call the 70-minute run the glitched run and this run the "even more glitched run". And bring back the 3 hour run as the "not really glitched run"

While the game is very simplistic, I'd definitely love to see a TAS of this game.

Just one question, why exactly are you this keen on keeping it a secret in the first place? Not that you can be forbidden to do so, but both the glitch itself and your desire to keep it secret for so long do make me curious. At any rate, you at least seem more supportive than Brian.

The run looks technically very well done, but I'm unsure it really warrants to have its own publication next to the SNES run, especially because the SNES run shows more off the game. Not gonna vote on this one.
