General Info
Now, me and
Randil worked a little on this. Togheter, we found out that Aladdin's speed occilates from 552sp/f to 512sp/f while running . Now in order to keep his speed to 552sp/f i needed to run and jump at the right frame. Thanks to
Gocha's memory viewer i could easily keep track of things.
Walkthrough
Level 1-1 was modified a little. I aimed for the heart in the box to be able to take more damage in future levels. The end of the level was also changed. I decided to climb the barrels in order to be able to jump lower, avoiding the arrow and reaching the end without having to walk or jump.
Level 1-2 stayed mostly the same accept for the speed and some fadeout lag was avoided from the last run. At the end of the level i have to climb turn around and climb again. Here i have improved my turning around by pressing down one frame. This helped me turn faster.
Level 1-3 is started with a nice trampoline that just makes you want to jump to the sky but the trick is to jump only the necessary so that the vertical speed is kept at the highest. Thats about it for here.
level 1-4 was started with a jump on the goon to avoid the swinging pole but in this run i decided to avoid both to save some good amount of frames.
The boss battle is the same time but i decided to make it a little more fun to watch.
Level 2-1 has been modified at many places. First, i found out that the spikes on the ceilling can be avoided by being high enough. Later i jump on the first bat to be able to reach the second one ,that is too high to reach with a jump alone, to throw my apple on the (unavoidable) spike to break it so that i can reach the next gap where Abu is waiting. Here i managed to keep Abu highest speed until he reaches the end, since he is the key to the next level.
Level 2-2 stayed mostly the same eccept for the big rocks at the end. I avoided them unlike my last run where i take damage and jump on them. Oh, and the ruby is Abu's fault.
Level 3-1 same time but much more fun to watch :)
Level 3-2 same time but much more fun to watch :)
Level 4-1 was modified by grabbing apples wich enabled me to avoid many obstacles. I decide to climb at different places than my last run since the "Genie Heads" usually goes backward, thus making me slower.
Level 4-2 was improved by not taking damage by the pot but instead wacking it with an apple. Next the twisters were avoided more smoothly without jumping on the pot.
Level 4-3 i take damage by the pot instead of jumping on it so that i climb faster. Later i had to wait for the Genie head to drop so i duck while sliding. This gave me the chance to zip through the block avoiding the wait.
Level 5-1 stayed mostly the same but i try to use the flowing sand most of the time, to boost my speed, while jumping.
Level 5-2 stayed the same eccept for the speed that is kept at 552sp/f
Level 5-3 i take damage on the spikes instead of swinging and jumping on enemies.
Level 6-1 i try to be more entertaining but it is not an easy task in this level.
Level 7-1, around the end, instead of jumping on the crane and wait to grab the ruby, i take damage to zip through the cranes. This shaved a-lot.
Level 7-2 looks pretty much the same eccept for the speed and at the end i throw an apple on the lamp so that i can jump high without grabbing it.
Level 7-3 stayed the same eccept i saved an apple by not throwing it at the goon since i was fast enough to avoid him. Next, i use the moving platform to increase my speed.
Jafar is the only part that was slower since he did not start the fight like in my last run. I tried everything to manipulate his actions but without succes. The best thing would be to have him start the fight with a pot summon but to do that i would have to do the whole run so maybe in my all ruby run OK?!?!
