Author's comments and explanations:
This is an improvement of 120 frames over my previous version.

     * Emulator used: FCEUX 2.1.1
     * Aims for fastest possible time.
     * Takes damage to save time.
     * Uses death as a shortcut.
     * Manipulates luck.
     * Abuses programming errors
The time gained is due to a bug discovered by yoyococo, a friend of xipo, that makes the vault at stage 5 opens earlier. In fact it is a bug of a bug.
I found when I was doing my precedent version that if you lay down a bomb near a vault but fall off to a lower platform, the game still considers the bomb near the vault as well as being in that lower platform. The secret passageway that skips stage 4 is a good example. However it seems that yoyococo, has found that bug but he has also tested it at stage 5 1st vault. The bomb goes down but disappear in the pit which makes the vault to open earlier.
The game considers that when a bomb disappears, it is considered to have exploded. I never could imagine that it was possible to happen and thus, never tested that.

Because the improvement is near the end of the run, I've used what's done in my previous run and started at stage 5. Though I've still tested some things earlier in the run but couldn't find anything special to be put in the movie.

adelikat: Replacing the movie file for the author with a 16 frames faster version.

mmbossman: Accepting as an improvement to an already precise run.
