The Battle of Olympus is Zelda II in ancient Greece.

My motivation to play this game again was to get it under the 10-minute mark. At 10:01.43, I needed to save 87 frames.

This TAS improves the current Battle of Olympus movie by 364 frames (6.06 seconds). I was surprised that I saved that much time.

Arcadia Bull (2) 7 7 A big flaw in the previous movie was that I wasn't aware of the jump-turn technique until after Laconia. If you press A+B simultaneously, your speed immediately goes to 000.

Pelo 2 8 22 Better enemy RNG.
Pelo Bush 7 29 Jump turn.
Pelo 4 7 36 Jump turn.
Pelo Hydra 7 43 Jump turn.

Pelo 2 (2) 214 259 This is the first half of olive collecting. The comparison is not quite direct because I picked up 28 olives instead of 29. But this screen was the biggest improvement by far.

Pelo 5 -1 274 This is the second half of olive collecting. Although it is 1 frame slower, I picked up 32 olives instead of 31, and so it is actually faster.

Phthia 1 22 356 The enemies on the stairs lined up in a way that I could avoid taking damage. However, I still need to take damage later because I need Orpheus to die.
Phthia 2 Centaur -11 345 I took the damage here, where I would lose fewer frames.
Phthia 3 9 354 I was able to get the game to change my entry direction (left to right).
Laconia Siren (2) 1 355 Removed lag frame.
Crete 4 -5 350 Setting up an entry direction change.
Crete 5 11 361 Changed entry direction (right to left). I don't know why I overlooked this idea last time.
