Author's comments and explanations:
In this TAS, I tried to make it entertaining to watch while also making it go as fast as possible. It is an improvement over iiro2's TAS done in 4:59. I've added fast acceleration and flagpole glitch. In the rom I use, there are two levels 8-1 and 8-2 where when you do the flagpole glitch it zooms you to the other side of the flagpole. This glitch does not work on any other version of this game including the USA version to my knowledge and saves 2 framerules.

      Game objectives

  Comments

1-1

Used fast acceleration and flagpole glitch

1-2

Fast acceleration at the start, pipe clip, and a better pipe entry at the end of the stage.

4-1

Fast acceleration and flagpole glitch.

4-2

Fast acceleration, wrong warp, and left+right

8-1

Fast acceleration at the start to save a framerule while doing flagpole glitch

8-2

Fast acceleration and flagpole

8-3

Interestingly I don't get a 244 on the clock because it doesn't save any time. Instead I use flagpole glitch on the second to first frame of 242 which saves a framerule.

8-4

Fast acceleration, wrong warp, left+right, and wall jump

Other comments:

-If you want to see the old TAS of this game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRjDuCkWxpU

  • Time to save:

-There is only 1 frame to save in 8-4 because of bad cheep patterns

-Once the frame is saved the time will be 4:53.901
