Author's comments and explanations:
Released only in Japan in 1991. Based on an anime series.

Movie features:

General
Game gets laggy when there are more objects on screen. Especially in fourth scene with bats flying around. So, lag control is the more important features in this run.

Moving
Bouncing off of a platform. Started doing this is in third scene at 5:00. Instead of waiting for landing you can make a small jump if you time the jump correctly.

Attacking
If you hold attack button on solid ground you will create a shield that absorbs bullets.
If you release the button the shield will disappear soon. The shield can be sent to eight directions. It deals one damage to enemy on contact.

Swinging blade, that is pressing left and right when swinging, is a very fast way of dealing with bosses.

Down-thrust is the fastest way of hitting. While in air pressing down and attacking you can damage enemies every two frames. Super useful in fourth boss.

Health
You will regenerate half the damage you take, one for every 8 frames. The big red orbs will let you regenerate to full health.

Bosses
To prevent the timer to count down into points you can die in the boss fight as long as the boss also dies.
This is done with the help of the shield. I figured out this strategy in third boss when there was no other way of dying. Initially I dropped into a pit or lava after beating bosses.

Notes:
01:12 - It was tough to dodge this healt orb. Otherwise I couldn't get one-hit KO'd by the boss.
05:49 - The raft is normally accessed from left side. Dropping down from right saves a few seconds but the raft goes to opposite direction.
06:30 - Waiting here for rocks to align because the waterfall is laggy.
12:03 - I could have destroyed the final clone two frames earlier, but then the final boss would locate itself in a worse position.
