Gruefood Delight is a list of movie submissions that viewers liked but were not published on TASvideos. I'd say all of them have at least one good reason for not being published... but, some folks find them entertaining. I wanted to create a list of these movies so users (including me) could find favorite ones easily and also to see what else might be worth taking a look at. Feel free to contact me with movies to add to the list... You can also post at this page's Forum Topic. If you like what this page offers, let everyone know! My goal is to have a similar list made available in a more visible section of TASvideos.Front Line -- This is held up as the pinnacle of bad game choice. Your mileage may vary...
Front Line on YouTube for the casually curious
Might and Magic: Gates to Another World -- This is an enormous, convoluted games, torn to pieces. The action is a bit repetitive and hard to follow, but quite astonishing.
Dragon's Lair (Sega CD) -- This full motion video game was quite the "breakthrough" technologically in arcades, but this run of the Sega CD port reinforces how simplistic it truly is. Movie added because author mentioned this page in the description :)
Yo! Noid -- This game is hilarious and features pizza eating contests among other more traditional fare. Plus it's a pacifist run, and I'm a sucker for marketing ploys.
Chack 'n Pop -- Cute little prequel to Bubble Bobble.
Ranma 1/2 -- Fighting game base on the manga/anime/whatever. Involves a fighting panda! YouTubed!
NES Top Gun - The Second Mission -- Strangely hypnotic movie...
Genesis Madou Monogatari I -- Wow, this is a strange game.
RAMBO! -- Spectacularly bad game. From the submission text: "This game starts with Rambo killing wasps and snakes, and moves up to him killing robots that shoot fireballs. Needless to say, this is exactly like the movie the game is based on."
NES Mega Man 1 & Mega Man 2 & Mega Man 3 & Mega Man 4 & Mega Man 5 & Mega Man 6 -- The next step after the 4 Mega Man movie, this completes one stage of all 6 NES Mega Man games with the same set of input. The Lion King -- A really terrible "port" of the interesting Genesis/SNES games. YouTube Fun!!
Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom -- "Storybook" game that is very peculiar.
King's Quest V -- a classic Sierra game. The sound and graphics are not quite up to snuff, and the movie is somewhat repetitive, but an interesting watch.
Outrun -- racing games that don't feature Mario or Captain Falcon are often neglected here, usually deservedly for being very repetitive. This one is nice and short, and unlike some racing movies actually finishes the game.
Archon -- Don't expect much from this movie -- it's about 5 chess moves long. But it does feature a Unicorn vs Dragon matchup.
Ka-Ge-Ki - Fists of Steel -- "1) If you don't like watching movies of bad games, don't ever watch this movie! 2) If you enjoy bad games, then this one is a killer! "
Gyromite -- This game was intended to be played with ROB... gets a bit boring by the end but features glitching and a totally corny premise.
The Firemen -- The best darn firefighting on tasvideos
Puzzle Bobble (also known as "Bust-a-Move") -- I guess I'm just a huge Puzzle Bobble fan, but this movie is sweet.
Super Smash Bros -- This game always seems to stir up a debate. Often submitted, never published, I happen to get a kick out of seeing it abused... there's even more movies if you look for them, but I have listed the ones I liked most.
Rocket Ranger -- A strange, really quick game. "...[T]his movie is a strange slideshow of random scenes flashing across the screen [and] ... a strange mix of many different game elements...."
Tiny Toon Adventures 2 -- a lot of autoscrolling, but some of the sections are very interesting as a TAS. Is also purported to be improvable, though it's doubtful anyone will bother to attempt it given the reception.
Rolo to the Rescue -- "Rolo to the Rescue is a cute game about an elephant who tries to save her furry friends from an evil circus master. In this any% movie however, Rolo runs home as fast as possible using her friends only for selfish purposes. So, Rolo aims for fastest time and even forces her poor friends to absorb damage for her."
Where's Waldo -- Two movies of one of the least tas-able games ever.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow -- The name of the game is a mouthful, and so was this movie apparently, which is similar to the published movie of this game's prequel. Stealth done wrong, or very, very right.
Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectacular -- I think the name says it all.
North & South -- An example of a bad game to tas. Features mild animal cruelty.
WarioWare -- um, everything in this game takes the same amount of time no matter what you do. Still an entertaining game to watch though.
Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde -- What a terrible game. Fun with Rolling Rock though. YouTubed!
Road Fighter -- a short, simple tas, which is allegedly funny
Kung Fu Kid -- Bunny hopping.

Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine -- Considered to be too similar to the published "Kirby's Avalanche" game, but they both steal from Puyo Puyo.
Ms Pacman -- This arcade port is a bit repetitive and has a fairly arbitrary end point, but it is interesting to see the Pacman genre TASed. (See also http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=158406#158406 + Direct YouTube Link
Cheetahmen II -- Possibly the worst game ever. Also with YouTube!

Ocarina of Time -- This movie is suboptimal, but it's over half an hour faster than the published movie. An upcoming run will probably tear this to smithereens...
Update 6/21 -- And it has! This run is another 40 minutes faster. There's another run on YouTube that's allegedly even faster but we haven't seen the key input file yet.
But it gets even better! Someday we'll have the shortest OoT run ever!
Castlevania64 -- Author canceled due to improvements.
Magic of Scheherazade -- Canceled for improvements, also a bit of a long run for some (like me...)
Little Nemo -- again an improvement of a published movie, but not improved enough.

Super Mario Land 2 -- This relies on an emulator glitch rather than a game glitch so is not really legitimate -- but it's still pretty funny. We now have an "official" run...
Star Control II -- OK, I didn't find this one too fascinating in and of itself, but this stands as one of the only PC TASes in existence. Now updated with useful youtube links!
Dr. Mario -- Started from dirty rom to begin on level 20, but come on, Dr. Mario.
Link's Awakening (J) -- It's over 20 seconds faster than the (U) version, but we certainly don't have any Japanese roms on this site.
Astro Boy -- Canceled due to not completing the game. It only completes the interesting half...
Star Control II -- OK, I didn't find this one too fascinating in and of itself, but this stands as one of the only PC TASes in existence. Now updated with useful youtube links!

 | Visit Submission 1598 A hack of the original Legend of Zelda, this is the first and only movie so far to totally abuse the walk through walls/screen scroll glitch that it shares with the original. I found the hack itself a bit hard on the eyes, though it's neat to see the alternate graphics, some of which are borrowed from A Link to the Past. |

Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog, No Rings -- A "concept movie" that defeats a Sonic game without collecting rings. Turns out it's not possible in any "official" game so the author used this famous hack.
Coinless-Cannonless-Capless Super Mario 64 -- This collects as many stars as possible with the restrictions laid out in the title. Some stars are very difficult to get this way ... there's even an "epic" glitch that should be seen to be believed.
Mario Kart 64: Special Cup and Mario Raceway Time Trial -- a full run of this game is highly anticipated of course, but these will tide you over. They are almost overly glitchy for some, especially the special cup.
Super Mario World "Walkathon" -- An interesting idea for Super Mario Bros applied to Super Mario World. Instead of "Does not use B" the rule for this one is "[no] pressing Y/X and left/right at all on the ground or in air.... y/x are still pressed in this run, but only for holding items, never to increase mario's speed(except for underwater)".
Super Mario World First Playaround Second Playaround -- Goals? These include some interesting bits left out of the many other SMW runs.
Super C 1 Player -- Dismissed as inferior to a 2 player run. How cute, he's flossing that skull with a gun.
Ninja Gaiden 2 1 Player -- Same as above.
Crystalis -- this version of Crystalis does not use the abusive "wild-warps" glitch but was not considered different enough to deserve a separate publication.
