Banned Torrent Clients

Some BitTorrent clients may be banned from our tracker by the administration's discretion.

Why

We ban BitTorrent clients that are bad for the health of the BitTorrent network.

The health of the BitTorrent network depends on uploaders, and failure to upload is one eligible reason to ban clients.

Allowed clients

Currently, these clients may be used without problem.

  • (Official) BitTorrent
  • BitTornado
  • Azureus
  • MLDonkey
  • Shareaza
  • Raza

If the name of your BitTorrent client is not listed on this page, it is likely allowed.

Discouraged clients

Currently nothing is banned, but usage of BitComet is unofficially discouraged. See discussion and Wikipedia article for why.
