Typographic

I have recently started trying to better utilize the typographic opportunities offered by the Unicode character set.

Firefox extensions I love

  • Rikaichan - Popup Japanese-English dictionary. Makes reading Japanese text a lot easier.
  • Tidy HTML validator - Validates pages automatically when viewing their source code.
  • Submit to tab - Allows submitting forms into new tabs.
  • IE Tab - Allows opening IE browser in a subtab in Firefox, accomplishing viewing the same page using both rendering engines. (Windows only.)
  • Google suggest - Suggests search terms as you type.
  • And most importantly, Adblock - allows blacklisting selectively any of the components making up a particular webpage. Goodbye to obtrusive advertisements and annoying images. It makes newssites particularly a lot more usable.
