Movies on this site are nothing more than a header (which contains vital information such as the length of the movie) plus a record of which buttons were pressed and when. Such movies are often called "key input movies". These types of movies are not multimedia files such as AVI. They do not contain image data or program code.

These recordings are not portable between different emulators because different emulators have different timings, and the movies are highly dependent on the timing.
