This is a multiplayer TAS where 1 player controls 3 characters (Dwarf, Elf, Thief) played at difficult level 8 on the hardest version of the game. Through the adventure they find and steal the best weapons/equipments. Haste spell that was cast alot increases players speed x2 for 8-10 seconds. Dwarf got hit by the Lich to save time, due to a bug that allows you to uncurse the Sword of Legend Without taking damage, Elf took only the necessary damage from it while not interfering on game time. Such items as Battle Ax, Large Burning Oils, Circlets, Silver Daggers, Flame Shield, Rings of Magic Missile, Magic Lv3, Bracelet, Boots of speed, Silver Arrow, Rod of Fire and Lighting were stolen/manipulated to drop (since it will drop like 1 time out 10 from certain enemies and situations). No bosses were skipped and all Dragons got slayed. http://rapidshare.com/files/115563924/ddsoma.fr.html

I have never heard of this game. It would be helpful if you told us what platform this game is for.

game desyncs, only the elf makes it past the first level (and only because time runs out, the other two chars die), then you enter no name, then die right away in the village what settings did you use?

fba 0.2.94.98 is 4 years old... If your roms are current you have to rollback ddsom and ddsoma to pre-111u4 versions. Maybe the fr can be hex edited to run on the latest fba. edit sunday june 1:
fba 0.2.94.98.exe 4EE44B1F (= what str8 posted above)

If that's not it I don't know what else is wrong.
Anyway this was awesome. Highly recommended if you can set it up: Pillaging the best items, dismounting wyvern riders with magic missiles, gangraping the dark elfs, outrunning sling stones, glitching the curse off the sword, and every dragon dies fast. Why 3 characters and not 4? A mage could do constant critical hits with the knife. You renamed the thief. Was this to get a different starting item? And why is the Asia version the hardest?

Im not sure what romset I have (i think its old though), but fba does not complain about incorrect crcs, so Im probably guessing I have the correct set? Will try to find an older set though, and see how that goes edit: nope, no good, got a romset from .106, and it does the exact same thing. Maybe someone can encode it to avi or something.

Downloading the upgraded roms will fix the problem. I made a Magic-U Tas last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4EqEvo0jcg So i to made a whole different one this time, this is the best 3 players combination, fast and powerfull. My next TAS will be a 4 players for sure. Thief got a Gauntlets of Ogre Power by that name, so as Elf. Dwarf got a bracelet. On Asia version the enemies will block more often, they are stronger and their patern are "better" (a bit smarter) same with bosses. Obs: This wasnt encoded/sent to youtube yet cause the site i usually publish speedruns is working slowly.

Eh, ROM linking isn't allowed. Let the users figure out ROM problems by themselves, it's their responsibility.

That was great! There's something really satisfying about watching 3 fighters quickly beat the crap out of everything they run into. 3 is much better than 1.

Wow, just wow. Just out of curiosity, why 3 and not 4? I did like how you beat the snot out of the bosses so fast they just didn't know what hit them! Would it have been faster though to employ the Large Burning Oil tactic sometimes though? I really liked it when you used the Haste spell and suddenly ripped into everything!

"Time" was the one of the reasons I made a 3 players run, a 4 players would be like 2x times harder also (this emulator is not that good for multiplayer TASing) and not too fast. The only 4 players Team capable of making a faster run are: 2 Elves/Dwarf/Thief or 2 Elves/2 Dwarves - (2 elves for Haste spell) but I didnt want to pick two characters alike. Large Burning Oils were used on Displacer Beast and Tel'arin/Tel'eleron (their 2nd appearence), using that on other bosses would been slower than the actual run. Note that even bosses alike were killed in different ways (Red Dragon/Synn, Black Dragon/Green Dragon, Dark WarriorI/Dark WarriorII)

That TAS was made with an older version of FBA, which couldn't get accepted on this site because it was started from a savestate. Link: Dungeons & Dragons Shadow Over Mystara Multiplayer TAS. There's a new version of FBA that's being worked on, but movies made with it are still not accepted. Link: FinalBurn Alpha Rerecording (new version).
You're just fucking stupid, everyone hates you, sorry to tell you the truth. no one likes you, you're someone pretentious and TASes only to be on speed game, but don't have any hope, you won't get there.

Edit: mz knows what he's talking about. Ignore me. We don't have any arcade TASes yet; what you probably saw was a "video-only" TAS, which, since it doesn't include the set of inputs the player made to run the game, isn't verifiable. That is, since we don't have the inputs, other people can't play the movie back on their own versions of the game. The problem with video-only TASes is that it's possible to do some very subtle things to get faster times. For example, if you removed every 10th frame from the game, it'd be very hard to detect but would improve your time by 10%. That's why the site doesn't publish such TASes (though there have been a few posted on the forums; for example, Bisqwit made a Chrono Cross TAS before PSX rerecording was quite functioning).

The 4 existing TAS of this game were made by me, all of them been posted on the forums (with input file of course) and they never got published on the website (3 of them are on speedruns.net/youtube)

I still thoroughly enjoyed watching the game get beat so thoroughly. I've lost count how many hours I've clocked on this game with friends. a++ -- wait. this isn't E-bay. XD Thumbs up, if this ever gets submitted.

My only question is, given the speed of the Magic User run you did previously, why not choose a Magic User as one of the characters in this run? Please submit this. They've started accepting a few arcade TASes and this would be a wonderful addition.
