Game Resources / G Bx / Dragon Ball Z The Legacy Of Goku

The purpose of this page is to document all of the known tricks of Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku for the Gameboy Advance.

Table of contents [expand all] [collapse all]

Moving faster

You can abuse the flying mode in order to move faster. While in flying mode, your energy units (which determine how long Goku can fly) will drain every 9 frames you fly. So change back to normal mode after 8 frames and then into flying mode again. You won't lose any energy units this way. But using this kind of spazzy movement in a TAS might not be well-liked by viewers.

Invincibility

In order to gain invincibility, get hit by an energy blast while flying. You will change back to normal mode and take the damage for it, but enemies won't attack you as long as you don't change into flying mode and back again.

Damage

The damage Goku deals or takes depends on timing. Generally, enemies will have a short span of invincibility when Goku hits them. Only hits with a crash sound will deal damage.

Negative damage

TODO: Explain. See the fight versus Jeeze in this movie for a demonstration.

Memory addresses

Each enemy in the game seems to have its own HP memory address.

TODO: Add memory addresses
