Blaster Master - Enemy Below looks, sounds, and feels like a fanmade version of the top-notch NES platformer, Blaster Master, but it is actually a bona fide legitimate sequel on the Game Boy Color put forth by Sunsoft.

In this movie the author abuses many glitches to take massive shortcuts in the game (including skipping an entire level). He also intentionally kills off the character several times in order to avoid backtracking.

From the author:

The graphics, music, sounds, controls are all absolutely phenomenal with interesting characters, gorgeous trippy backgrounds, and tough-but-not-too-tough bosses and puzzles. I'm very confident in saying that it's one of the best games you've probably never heard of.

This run uses glitches that allow moving screenfulls at a time through obstacles and walls.

Archon: The Light and the Dark is Battle Chess to the extreme. Instead of just capturing pieces like a wimp, upon confrontation, the two pieces are placed in a 'combat arena' in which they must fight to the death. To win, you either have to defeat all of your opponents pieces or hold all five Magic Squares at one time. The author, Twisted Eye, chooses the latter to complete the game in 1:15.51.

Blaster Master is a fairly long game involving a random hero that jumps down a hole after his mutant frog, finds a tank, and proceeds to blow up a few bosses and rescue said frog. It's complicated.

In this movie the hero gets bored with the tank early on, skips the bosses and mostly decides to just go straight to the final boss and blow him up. The frog is saved and dissected, and Biology 101 is passed. Hooray!

This movie plays on the European version of the game, which includes a few bugs such as stopping movement by pausing and allowing double (and more) jumping. A changed zip mechanism is also in the European version which allows warping through things you really shouldn't be able to warp through.

If you would like to see more of the game, we also have a warpless Blaster Master movie here that plays on the US version.

Destiny of an Emperor was Capcom’s first RPG, released in 1989―90, and is based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

The battling style of this game can be described like Final Fantasy meets Pokémon; your team of warriors versus the opposing team of warriors, and any opponents freed from their posts can be later picked up in the wilds and converted to your side!

We recommend reading the rest of the author’s comments; it helps understanding the movie better.

In Bisqwit's opinion, the soundtrack of this game has a lot in common with Duck Tales.

Mad Max is based on the 1981 Australian film Mad Max 2. The object of the game is to survive life after the end of the world by battling survivalists and collecting valuable food, water, gasoline, and money. There are three nonlinear stages, referred to as Road Wars, and each one ends in an Arena where the goal is to demolish every car and be the last one standing.

Twisted Eye blazes through this game, utilizing precision and a few glitches to get to the end in a little more than 13 minutes.

This game is based on the movie of the same name, although some liberties are taken to give Arnold a chance to punch some hobos with boomerang tophats and go on an even more extended car chase than in the actual movie. There is also some terrible yet strangely hypnotic music. Although normally lag should be avoided as it can slow completion time down, in this case it was often abused to prevent enemies from spawning that could be troublesome.

ALF is a game based on the TV show, where the titular character is seeking parts for his spaceship so he can meet his friends.

In this run, poor ALF dies a lot in order to warp around.

Yet another colorful Tiny Toon movie. And this time it's on the SNES.

In this movie, Twisted Eye uses a glitch which practically allows him to fly. For specifics about the glitch and the movie itself, read the author's comments.
