Contra: Hard Corps (1994) was the first game in the series to be exclusively released on a non-Nintendo console. The game took a lot of elements from previous installments and spiced them up with even more dynamic combat, different playable characters, nonlinear plot and about twice the amount of boss fights.

In this movie the author takes the secret "fifth ending", thereby skipping most of the game. The Japanese version was chosen because, for some reason, it gives the players a health bar, allowing them to take some damage without dying.

This is Ash Williams's second take at this route, now 2.23 seconds faster than previously.

Due to budget cutbacks, the guy who destroys the world bare-chested has been ordered to conserve his ammo. This run completes Contra 3 without shooting anything that isn't mandatory for winning the game. This includes enemies' projectiles.

The guy who has infinite supply of ammo and who destroys worlds bare-chested is back again! And this time he has a friend and a shirt with him.

A very colourful movie, with the author playing both characters at the same time (which is far from trivial to do).

This is a 25 second improvement from the precedent version, due to some new strategies and reduced lag. One boss is defeated so quickly that the game plays a new music track without stopping the one already playing!
