Castlevania, again, only this time played with Maxim and without glitching through walls and completing the game intended, unlike the glitch-warped run. What constitutes as intended in this run is debatable, since Maxim zooms through the castle faster than Sonic on espresso, and sends shurikens ripping through bosses before they realize they can attack you.
Note: This movie starts where the main quest movie left off. We do not usually accept movies beginning from a save. Please read our rules to see our reasons.

In this second outing for Castlevania on the Gameboy, Simon's ancestor Christopher must defeat 5 castles, rescue his son, and destroy Dracula yet again. Featuring exceptional boss strategies and clever damage management the author dominates this handheld game.

This is 34 seconds faster than the previous version due to optimized details and boss fights and some new strategies.

The Legend of the Mystical Ninja is the first Super Nintendo game in the Ganbare Goemon series, based on a noble thief in Japanese folklore.

This run improves on the previous run using new tricks and glitches such as the scroll abuse glitch, which saves a large amount of time.

If science fiction is to be believed, the ultimate evolution for biological beings is to discard the physical body and become an entity of pure energy. For video game characters, it seems to be the ability to zip through walls. In this latest TAS by zggzdydp, Simon Belmont joins the league of characters possessing this ability.

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest is the story of Simon's horrible weekend without sleep. Two years after defeating Dracula, the hero is physically weakened by Dracula's curse. He must gather Dracula's remains and incinerate them at the ruins of Castlevania in order to end the curse.

This movie is 2 minutes and 23 seconds faster than the previous effort by the same author. We recommend to read his comments for explanations on how this improvement was achieved.

This popular Japanese series features a character who fights with a smoking pipe and giant killer robots. For some reason, it's not terribly popular elsewhere.

The author thoroughly abuses the 2-player option to glide through the game with ease. This movie contains some of the most accurate robot boxing currently available.

Legacy of Darkness is the second Castlevania game on the N64. This quick run uses the gun slinging Henry, who is available from the start in the Japanese version.

Henry's objective is to rescue 6 children found in 6 stages within a specified time.

An action-packed wild-west shooting game converted from the arcades. It doesn't have all the levels and characters of the original, but makes for an interesting movie nonetheless.

In this run enemies blindly spray bullets at the main characters, naturally missing every shot as bad guys generally do. (Heroes, no matter where or when, can be assumed to have plasma shields.)

This version by zggzdydp is about 27 seconds faster than the previous movie due to various scattered improvements, most notably the 3-2 boss fight.

Mystical Ninja, otherwise known as Ganbare Goemon, is one of Konami's longest-running series, yet remains mostly localised to Japan (thanks in part to cultural differences; the series is very Japanese). This is the first of three games for the series released for the N64.

What begins as a quest to investigate an attack on a castle quickly evolves into a race to stop a plot to transform Japan into... a giant stage.

Please read the welcome page if you haven't already done so. It explains the rules and methods that apply to all of these movies, particularly the use of savestates and frame advance. Also refer to our Glossary to understand terms we use, such as TAS or other unfamiliar terms.
