Pokémon: Gold Version and Silver Version form the second generation of Pokémon, after Red Version and Blue Version. New features include full color, a new region called Johto, and 100 all new Pokémon.

This run by bobmario511 completes the game in under an hour by manipulating luck and abusing bugs to corrupt the memory and save data. One of these bugs allows him to bring up the Pokémon menu to distort map tiles into garbage blocks that are sometimes possible to walk on, allowing the player character to get to places he normally shouldn't. For more information, see the author's comments.

We also have a run of this game that avoids all use of memory corruption.

Proving yet again the lengths a TAS can go in destroying a game, this run features a warping glitch that allows for severe sequence breaking. The final boss is reached within a handful of minutes and defeated with minimal weaponry.

bobmario511 surpasses the previous run by 0.93 seconds.

There is a movie of this game that does not use the warp glitch.

Proving yet again the lengths a TAS can go in destroying a game, this run features a warping glitch that allows for severe sequence breaking. The final boss is reached within a handful of minutes and defeated with minimal weaponry.

The author, bobmario511, surpasses the previous run by 0.35 seconds through a completely different route.

There is a movie of this game that does not use the warp glitch.

Note: While this movie appears to be slower than the previous one, that run's time was calculated with an incorrect frame rate. This run is indeed faster.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is a classic Game Boy Zelda adventure. Link must travel across the dream world of Koholint Island, collecting the 8 Instruments to wake the Wind Fish and go home after a terrible shipwreck.

bobmario511 (the author), however, decided collecting instruments for a one-man band was a waste of time, so he skipped all of that and went straight to the Wind Fish (with a pesky boss battle in the middle).

This is a 0.56 second improvement over the previous run. See the author's notes for more details.

If you liked this, be sure to also check out the Game Boy Color version (DX), which completes all the dungeons.

The author improved the run by 0.16 seconds merely by delaying the third screen warp by one frame. Doing this causes the object on the screen to disappear, reducing the lag by 15 frames. After encountering 5 frames of seemingly unavoidable additional lag, the author produced a run with a net improvement of 10 frames. See the author's notes for more details.

If you liked this, be sure to also check out the Game Boy Color version (DX), which completes all the dungeons.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is a classic Game Boy Zelda adventure. Link must travel across the dream world of Koholint Island, collecting the 8 Instruments to wake the Wind Fish and go home after a terrible shipwreck.

bobmario511 (the author), however, realized that "Hey, I'm in a dream. That means I can do anything I want!" With that in mind, he embarks on a journey as the legendary hero THIEF to live out his wildest fantasies. Unfortunately, he would soon find out that this dream would end up being the worst nightmare of his life, traveling through a chaotic world devoid of any logic, meaning, or consistent appearance. Summoning the power of all of the allies he can get, our hero, BowWow, Marin, a ghost, and a flying rooster travel together to make sense of the nonsensical hell of Link's own imagination, collecting what he believes to be the 8 Instruments and Secret Seashells on their way.

The protagonist of this game is a blue chameleon named Davy who, upon following a rabbit (closely resembling the one from a Lewis Carroll book) into a magical hole in the ground, finds he has taken on a humanoid form.

Chameleon Twist has a total of 6 levels, of which only 4 need to be played through in order to reach the end.

Yoshi's Story (1997), a loose follow-up to Yoshi's Island, tracks the adventures of the Yoshi clan as they attempt to reclaim the Super Happy Tree after it is stolen by Baby Bowser. This apparently involves eating copious amounts of fruit in an effort to find happiness for themselves.

Here, the Yoshis stuff their faces so quickly that one wonders if this is an adventure or an all-you-can-eat banquet.

This is an improvement of 20.53 seconds over the previous movie by Comicalflop thanks to several small improvements.

Please read the welcome page if you haven't already done so. It explains the rules and methods that apply to all of these movies, particularly the use of savestates and frame advance. Also refer to our Glossary to understand terms we use, such as TAS or other unfamiliar terms.
