The use of glitchy warps is not new to Castlevania runs, but what is new is the creative use of switching between the main characters for basic character movement. We dare you to not have Jonasan! Sharotto! Jonasan! Sharotto! Jonasan! Sharotto! stuck in your head after watching the run.

Main improvements come from switching to a newer emulator version that helped eliminate most of the lag, better luck manipulation and optimized movement all around. The author has made a ghost script video for easier comparison. Be sure to read the previous version's submission text for explanations on the glitches used and the route choices.

In order to ensure that the weapon choice and route is optimal, the author created an alternate fully optimized test run with a new route. The run enters the final boss sooner with a weaker weapon (Final Sword), but spends more time fighting — so much so that 2/3 of the movie is spent fighting Dracula! Even though the emulator version was the same as the one used here, the final time is still over two minutes higher.

During the exploring, the player can unlock different abilities for Alucard which make him able to reach new areas. Some of these abilities are used to gain a tremendous speed and glitch through routes which players could not have even dreamed in 1997.

In this installment of a popular TV show, a miserable little pile of secrets known as Richter Belmont is once again called to have it at a savior mankind needs so ill. Armed with his trusty key and a question mark nicknamed 'Vampire Killer', he makes sure no candleholder remains standing in Dracula's castle. Eager to just get it over with, he plows through without as much as a slightest regard to his purple-haired girlfriend and some other people still imprisoned there. It seems what little time one has to spare in a TAS is best spent moonwalking and yelling at the screen, anyway.

A slower version of this run taking only the regular stages is available here. Due to this movie being faster, that submission was cancelled, yet there are arguably more entertaining moments in the cancelled submission (the author recommends stage 4 in particular).

Castlevania - Nocturne In The Moonlight is the Japanese name for Symphony of the Night. The Sega Saturn version was released only in Japan.

This is a 50+ second improvement over the previous movie by Phil and Genisto.

The objective of the minigame is to reach a specified point in a set time limit which can be extended by defeating enemies. Needless to say, the timer never even comes close to running out here.

This run begins from a save state which has the minigame unlocked, which can be generated by replaying the author's run of the full game. This is not normally allowed by the site.

Witness magic-wielding mecha float through the air and attack enemies in a variety of ways and polish off this game in just under nine minutes.

This game was released for the Supergrafx, a console which is a slight modification of the Turbografx 16/PC Engine with intent of enhancing the graphical capabilities of the console; for the moment (and perhaps permanently) it is being classified as a PCE game.

Comicalflop has once again provided a humorous commentary to entertain the audience while they watch.

Unlike most Castlevania games, there are no sub-weapons, and the player loses whip upgrades upon damage. Additionally, the Castlevania Gameboy games unlike their NES counterparts have ropes and moving spike walls instead of stairs.

This game being one of the first to come out for the Gameboy was programmed poorly, exhibiting lots of lag, and also suffers from poor jump controls. Seizing upon that, the level designers took it upon themselves to create fake difficulty by requiring pixel perfect jumps throughout.

In this movie, arukAdo eliminates lag by killing enemies as they appear on screen, destroying candles, collecting coins, and ducking when possible. In addition to that, luck is manipulated via pausing to prevent certain enemies from appearing or to force bosses to enter attack range sooner.

Note: The Konami Collection version was used instead of the original, as it lags a bit less, and is also fully colored.

Join arukAdo in this exciting adventure as he slices through his enemies and their defenses like a hot chainsaw through fresh butter (and beats up the girl too).

An alternate version of this run which plays on hard difficulty can be found here. The only difference between difficulty levels is enemy hit points, which is normally grounds for playing on the easiest possible difficulty (to improve speed and entertainment).

This run is played on Arcade mode, where the character dies in one hit and bosses are stronger; the other available mode (appropriately titled PCE mode) allows taking more than one hit and is overall easier. People familiar with the game should be able to appreciate the difference, as Arcade mode is extremely challenging.

Though, he also thinks it's faster to simply do a flying kick over entire levels.
