At first there were 70 stars because Bowser demanded it. Then there were 16 stars because MIPS the rabbit demanded it. Then there was 1 star because Bowser's Sub demanded it. Now there are none because the viewers are impatient and demanded the game be quicker.

As with many other runs on this site, the goal of pure speed has resulted in the complete breaking of the game. Very little of the game's normal play remains. If you'd like to see more of what Super Mario 64 offers, see the 120 stars run.

This movie is approximately 24 seconds faster than the previous movie due to a series of improvements discovered by the authors, detailed in the submission message.

Super Mario 64 has a history of publications on this site. If you wish to see how it unfolded since the beginning, see the page SM64TASHistory. Also, if you have a hankering to see MIPs the rabbit, the 16 stars route has been improved.

Strider is a side-scrolling action adventure game released by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System in North America in 1989.

This game normally takes around half an hour to complete, but the author manages to finish it in less than 4 minutes!

This is an improvement of 1:47.08 over the previous run. You can read the author's comments for more information.

Note: While the movie saves over 1.5 minutes from the previous, it still contains a number of vividly flashing scenes, so don't stare at it too closely.

In a normal playthrough, this game is quite long. You must save four family members then progress to the final area to complete the game.

However, the authors use a glitch to skip directly to the final area, skipping 4/5ths of the game; in addition, several new glitches allow more of the final area to be skipped, saving 22.9 seconds over the previous run.

- Aims for in-game time instead of real-time
- Genre: Puzzle
Mr. Driller 2 is a fast-paced puzzle game where you have to drill to the bottom of the level within a fixed time limit.

In this run, the author drills through the ten time attack courses in slightly under seven and a half minutes. Furthermore, he aims primarily for in-game time, as it adds to the entertainment value and adds also to the strategy, as there are time bonuses in this mode which subtract time.

This is an improvement of 4.76 seconds over the previous publication, with the improvement coming from better routes and better optimization.

Tiny Toon Adventures (1993), based on a cartoon show of the same name, is a fairly easy game to play. However, it has a nasty bug lurking within it: if you press left and right simultaneously (you can do it if you break your controller's directional pivot), you can get some impressive momentum.

This is an improvement of 17 seconds over the previously published run.
