The Sonic games for the Sega Master System and the Game Gear are much less well known than their Genesis/Mega Drive counterparts and have a reputation for being quite challenging, especially in handheld form. You'd never know this from the speed Sonic blazes through the game here.

Unlike later 8-bit Sonic games, there are significant differences in levels between the SMS version and the Game Gear version; here the latter is used primarily for faster boss fights.

If you like this run, also check out the run for SMS Sonic 2.

- Heavy glitch abuse
- Genre: Strategy
Without warning, the forces of Blue Moon mount an assault on the nation of Orange Star. Only Orange Star's new advisor, in collaboration with Orange Star's commanding officers, can stop them and get to the truth behind this sinister plot.

At least, what they'd normally do if they weren't capable of just magically compelling their opponents to surrender at the sight of them.

Using a glitch in the design maps mode of the game, this run completes the game impossibly quickly by forcing opponents to yield, allowing instant wins in the campaign missions.

Please read the welcome page if you haven't already done so. It explains the rules and methods that apply to all of these movies, particularly the use of savestates and frame advance. Also refer to our Glossary to understand terms we use, such as TAS or other unfamiliar terms.
