In Dodge 'Em (1980), you control a race car on a four lane track, and your goal is to collect all of the dots in order to earn points and advance to the next level! The race track is divided into four quadrants with a break in the lanes between them, and you can change lanes only within these breaks. A second car will travel in the opposite direction and try to get into your lane and crash you, so you need to make sure you switch to any lane it isn't in! You can travel at two different speeds (fast and slow), and even have a second player control the enemy car.
In this mesmerizing movie, watch yep2yel speed around the race track and beat the first round of the game in just over a minute.

Pitfall II: Lost Caverns is a platforming video game originally released for the Atari 2600 in 1984. The sequel to the popular Pitfall!, it opens up the world into a free-roaming adventure instead of progressing on a linear path. Among the other new features are swimming sections, save points, and catchy music.
Pitfall Harry's quest in this game is to find the Raj diamond, his niece Rhonda and his cowardly lion companion, Quickclaw.
In this TAS, solarplex aims to complete the game in the fastest time possible with no regard for his score. The same author also made another run that aims for the highest possible score.

This run is different from the any% TAS in that it does everything necessary to achieve the maximum score. This means avoiding falling down pits (which decreases your score by 100 each time) and following a much longer route in order to obtain all items. This route allows the author to show off a glitch that spawns a balloon earlier than intended, which is used several times.

Entirely unrelated to the TV series seaQuest DSV, Seaquest is a submarine combat game in which you control a water vessel and must pick up divers at different levels of depth while avoiding fish and enemy subs. While most of the game takes place underwater, you also must resurface for air from time to time so your air meter doesn't run out.
Like Tetris, the game ends when the score reaches the maximum 999999. This run by morningpee aims to reach this score as fast as possible.
morningpee accomplishes this through manipulating diver and enemy spawn points and using a glitch to freeze an enemy sub, allowing him to collide with it until the maximum score is reached. A lot of effort was put into figuring out the game's RNG and the optimal point to use the No-Despawn glitch; for more information, see the author's comments.

Death Star Battle is loosely based on the events of the film Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Your task is to destroy the Death Star before its construction is finished. You start the task outside the shield perimeter of the Death Star, where you have to combat different imperial vessels and avoid the death ray while waiting for an opportunity to slip through one of the random openings in the energy shield. After reaching the Death Star, you must reduce its structure up to the point where you can hit the core. In the following destruction of the station, you must avoid collision with the Death Star's debris.
It was decided that only the first round of the game contains meaningful content, so in this TAS, jlun2 uses luck manipulation and a precise shooting angle to finish it in less than 9 seconds. It is only the 11th shortest movie on this site, with Super 3D Portals 6 beating it by around 6.5 seconds.

Viewers who have photosensitivity problems may want to avoid watching as there's a high amount of flashing visuals during gameplay that can become uncomfortable to watch.

You and your grandfather just bought a small farm for growing vegetables and raising horses. Unfortunately, you find that the place is infested with animals that are determined to drive you away. Using your trusty gun, you aim to rid the property of these pests.
This run completes the first three levels, after which there is no new content. A trick is used to end the bonus levels immediately by shooting Gramps.

Choplifter is one of the few games that got ported from home systems to the arcade instead of the other way around. The goal of the game is to pilot an attack chopper to rescue 64 hostages from the clutches of the evil Bungeling Empire.
Besides being fun to play in real-time, it's also well-suited for TASing. It has fast-paced and lag-free gameplay, nice graphics, and simple mechanics. Both moving up and down and rotating the helicopter don't decrease your horizontal speed, which is great for both optimization and entertainment.
In this run, CoolKirby uses tool-assisted precision and tricks like blasting open enemy camps as soon as possible to beat the game in under three minutes.
We also have a movie of the Commodore 64 version.

This run improves upon its previous iteration not by time improvement, but by deciding to end the game faster rather than ending input faster; this results in a slightly longer input time, but skips out a big waiting period from the previous run.
