This run of the original arcade game completes the first cycle 1:55.96 faster than the previous run of the NES port, but the game engines are so different that a comparison between the two times doesn't make any sense. Creative use of damage and picture perfect boss fights combine with some glitchy looking jumps as xipo takes on Lucifer's many demons. The game is completed twice (which is necessary to get the ending) and along the way we are treated to some fabulous Engrish and more information than necessary about the damsel in distress.

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker is a 3 player arcade game, where you play either a white-, red-, or black-suited Michael Jackson. The author uses all three players to complete this game as fast as possible.

In Spinmaster, known in Japan as Miracle Adventure (ミラクルアドベンチャー), you play as Johnny and Tom, two treasure seekers. They have to save Johnny's girlfriend and gather map pieces in order to find the biggest treasure in the world! Along the way, they must fight past lots of quirky henchmen, large bosses, and more, all accompanied by cartoony graphics and stereotypical cowboy voice clips.

In this game, Johnny and Tom can use several different types of weapons, such as the elements of ice, fire, and thunder. They can collect a limited number of super attacks, denoted by the letter "B" under their health bars, to hurt everything on the screen and damage bosses heavily. Also, health does not refill between levels.

Several months after the freeing the Vorticons from Mortimer McMire, Commander Keen (Billy Blaze) finds out that an unknown race called the Shikadi are planning to destroy the Milky Way. He sets course towards Gnosticus IV on a quest to discover their location with the Oracle's aid. Upon arrival, he discovers that the Shikadi have captured the Council Members. In order to save the universe, Keen must fly to the Shadowlands and rescue them.

Using a series of tricks listed in the submission text, Keen reaches the ending in a mere 10 minutes.

Using a series of glitches, Keen completes only four stages to get to the end game, only one of which takes any significant length of time, and destroys the Quantum Explosion Dynamo, the core of the Omegamatic in the impossibly short time of 2:02. In the process, he manages to inadvertently prevent the Shikadi from accomplishing their escape (though you have to watch the ending very closely to figure out that this has happened here).

Beating Dracula into a pile of dust in under five minutes wasn't enough for our heroes, so this time they wreck his entire castle and surrounding areas before killing him. In this run, hellagels and red-crowned-crane collect all secret disks, life ups, BM upgrades and sub tanks, achieving a 100% completion rate.

Here the author makes very good use of the super human speed and reactions of tool assistance to navigate Colors much faster than a human ever could. Sonic's motion is very carefully tracked at all times to ensure the fastest possible completion. You can read the author's comments for more information.

More importantly, it features different glitches than those featured in the runs of the original SM64.

In this run, MKDasher and ALAKTORN improve their previous movie by 4:31.69 by using several new glitches and tricks that allow them to finish the game while collecting only a single star.

Professor Moran is kidnapped by Dr. X, and it is up to the Action Force to bring him back. The playable characters of this game are Action Man himself, Red Wolf, and Flynt. Together, they beat up robots, punch dinosaurs, ride jet skis, and do other typical action-movie things along the way.

Because the game was new at the time of submission, the author had no other runs and almost no walkthroughs to rely on.

Upon completing his warpless run, Kriole decided to take another jab at this category, improving upon his earlier effort by 51 seconds.

Julius is only available to those who have completed the main quest, but unlike Soma Cruz, Belmont can't go through walls or use other fancy tricks like that. Being very upset about it, he hops around the castle madly, producing almost inhuman sounds with every jump.

In this run, Cardboard demonstrates his ninja skills using Sasuke as he effortlessly charges through levels and beats the end bosses so fast they barely have enough time to fight back.

FractalFusion and GoddessMaria complete this run in a mere 1:31:45, 3 minutes and 22 seconds faster than the previous Pokémon Sapphire run. Instead of using Machop/Machoke, this run now uses Taillow/Swellow, which is obtained far earlier in the game, also has Guts as an ability, and has powerful moves early on and throughout. Rayman Advance is a side-scrolling platformer starring the titular Rayman, a big-nosed chap with no arms or legs. Rayman can jump and use his hair to hover for a short period of time. He can also attack by throwing his fists, or winding up his fists for a more powerful punch. He can occasionally find special powerups that grant him unlimited flying power, giving him the ability to navigate through tricky mazes.

Aside from the platforming action, the other notable feature of Rayman Advance is its large, detailed and vibrant graphics, which have helped it to stand out from most other similar games in the genre.

In this movie, got4n uses new skips and more optimization to improve his previous attempt by 5:11.91 minutes.

The author uses a glitch to dupe power wines and bombs, the former massively increasing his attack strength, and the latter making the run look more like Bomberman than a 'Shining' game!

This run is 17:58.75 faster than his previous Shining Soul II publication due to some very impressive manipulation to slaughter bosses in mere seconds. It is recommended that you read the authors comments for more information about the run and the game.

There are two encodes for this movie: The first is a standard encode, whereas the second encode shows two screens: the screen on the left is the unmodified gameplay, and the screen on the right is from a hack which keeps Sonic in the center of the screen more often. (Note that this hack has no effect on the actual gameplay, only on the watcher's viewing experience.)

On the rare occasions we get to watch Sonic, we get to enjoy seeing him moving through walls, charging up for another dash, or making short work of bosses.

In this run, mmbossman heavily abuses a technique that allows him to maintain a very high speed throughout each level, stopping only to rescue civilians or disable bombs. However, since speed isn't as important in boss fights, Spidey also gets a chance to show off some of his acrobatic and martial arts skills.

Following the constant advice of a talking hat, and utilising unique items, as well as getting more use out of an ocarina than simply getting around, Tompa completes this task in record time, putting Vaati back in his place in a mere 108 minutes!

This is an improvement of 1:26.53 minute over the previous published run by the same author.

However, in this run the author doesn't care about stealth at all and runs through the levels as fast as possible.

FractalFusion has also created a TAS for the game's GBA sequel.

Through strategic use of save-and-restore and a glitch allowing rapid diagonal movement and zipping, Wario gets away with all the loot in this Hard mode run (the hardest difficulty available from the outset) 22:30.68 faster than before.

We apologize for the less-than-average video quality in this AVI, but this game is really unfriendly to MPEG4 compression utilized by codecs such as XviD and H.264.

In this movie the author abuses many glitches to take massive shortcuts in the game (including skipping an entire level). He also intentionally kills off the character several times in order to avoid backtracking.

As expected, the Game Boy Color "port" doesn't play much like the PlayStation or PC versions, but it does provide some interesting gameplay. Look out for the large shortcuts made possible by breaking the game's physics engine.

Although this is a relatively simple platformer, Kuzco's llama form requires careful attention to fully optimize move speed.

The author, mmbossman, runs and bounces around the Media Dimension, collecting only the required remotes to beat Rez and save Agent Xtra.

Unlike most Castlevania games, there are no sub-weapons, and the player loses whip upgrades upon damage. Additionally, the Castlevania Game Boy games, unlike their NES counterparts, have ropes and moving spike walls instead of stairs.

This game, being one of the first to come out for the Game Boy, was programmed poorly, exhibiting lots of lag, and also suffers from poor jump controls. Seizing upon that, the level designers took it upon themselves to create fake difficulty by requiring pixel perfect jumps throughout.

In this movie, arukAdo eliminates lag by killing enemies as they appear on screen, destroying candles, collecting coins, and ducking when possible. In addition to that, luck is manipulated via pausing to prevent certain enemies from appearing or to force bosses to enter attack range sooner.

Note: The Konami Collection version was used instead of the original, as it lags a bit less, and is also fully colored.

This has led to even stranger results than the old run, clearing five and a half minutes thanks to a glitch that allows for skipping several levels.

TheKDX7, author of the other Lucky Luke run, collects all 60 stars throughout all 12 levels (including 5 hidden ones) and the 2 big hearts in the Saloon and Cheyenne Mountains levels in order to achieve 100% completion.

While the author, TheKDX7, finishes the platforming stages as fast as possible, he also adds in some entertainment to the long autoscrollers to make them more interesting.

This is an improvement of 480 frames over the first Lucky Luke TAS.

In this game, Luke must work his way through a series of platformers and minigames to thwart his enemies and stop a runaway train.

Note: This movie requires VBA rerecording v19, v21 or v22.

Compared to the first Xtreme game, Mega Man Xtreme 2 does have more original content, though. It has an improved story (although it's still rather shallow) and unique fortress bosses (with the exception of Velguarder, Sigma's dog, who was taken from Mega Man X for the first fortress stage, and Sigma's first form which is taken from Mega Man X2) and it has mostly new stage designs that are not so much ripped straight from the SNES games. In fact, Neon Tiger and Blast Hornet's stages have more in common with Sting Chameleon and Storm Eagle's stages, respectively.

The most significant addition compared to either the SNES games or the first Xtreme game is that Zero is a fully playable character here for all our slashing needs. He plays a bit like Zero out of Mega Man Zero, but has animations like those from X4/X5 and X6. Zero can gain weapons from bosses like X can, including an obligatory uppercut slash and drill stab, but also other, more different moves such as a variant of Mega Man X's charged Fire Wave and boss moves like Wire Sponge's Lightning attack and Launch Octopus' homing fish attack. Just plain old slashing with the Z-Saber typically remains the most efficient tool, though.

The game has a Parts system like in Mega Man X5 and Mega Man X6, although it doesn't really have a lot of upgrades, much less useful ones. The only really useful ones, that are used in this speedrun, are the Buster +1 and +2 parts for X and Saber +1 and +2 for Zero. Stacking both upgrades for each character causes a significant damage boost for both characters, which saves a lot of time on boss fights.

Other than that, the gameplay of Mega Man Xtreme 2 is very similar to the first Xtreme game. It has similar pacing and glitching.

In this run, both X and Zero are used. Zero turns out superior early on, while X is faster in the middle part. The action then returns to Zero for the final couple of stages.

Following the spirit of that series, this is a stealth-based game. Supposedly tricky tasks are to be performed covertly. But in this movie, stealth is clearly not one of the author's highest priorities. It's all running through guards, as if they weren't there. Yet the player does not die.

This movie is 16.43 seconds faster than the predecessor movie.

Enjoy the hilarious badness of this game as AKheon beats down every fighter to finish in the fastest time possible.

This movie plays through Pokémon Gold in a fairly fast manner, catching only a half dozen Pokémon in the process, but acquiring all the gym badges, and ultimately beating the protagonist of the previous generation of Pokémon games.

The author of this movie, FractalFusion, has written very extensive details of anything regarding this movie, including even some of the mathematical formulas used by the game. As usual, we recommend reading these comments.

Rayman, the original flagship character of the now-renowned company UbiSoft, has no arms or legs, but that doesn't stop him from making surprisingly quick progress through this slow-paced game.

In this run, the author makes usage of a simple L+R glitch which doubles RoboCop's speed without affecting camera speed if three directions at once are pressed. In addition to this, it even allows him to warp to the next screen immediately when he catches up to the edge of the camera view while performing this glitch, and if there is an adjacent room to the direction where he's going. This allows him to get through most troublesome walls. The author provides detailed comments which help understanding what is going on.

In Speedy Gonzales: Aztec Adventure, Sylvester the cat has kidnapped all the mice from Speedy's village, and our super fast hero races to rescue them. There are weapons he can pick up to fight enemies along the way, as well as speed boosts to help him jump over dangerous obstacles like spike pits.

The authors improved the previous movie by 1:19.40, because of a new route and the fact that SpongeBob has mastered the art of flying a new glitch that allows him to jump very high. This run is a collaboration between the previous two authors, CoolKirby and jlun2, and nitrogenesis, who discovered the jump glitch and made two submissions before being bested by jlun2's attempt. This run is a whopping 13.09 faster than the best attempt by a single author. Teamwork is strength!

Through a wide variety of glitches and general optimisations, this is now almost ten minutes faster than the previous full run of this game.

This run does not make use of a form of warp glitching, but still demonstrates that they obviously didn't fix as many bugs as they thought.

A series of glitches and tricks are used to quickly obtain all the special items, free Jerry's friends, and defeat each level's boss. The author, Mukki, explains these on the movie's submission page.

This run abuses the game's gravity mechanic heavily, essentially making it a cuter version of Metal Storm.

As a ghost, the protagonist has the ability to possess enemies with a selection of different abilities, but that's rarely seen in this run.

In order to pull off the rescue, three keys are needed; these are retrieved in this run so as to obtain the best possible ending.

This run starts off with walking by enemies, showing how incompetent criminals are at firing guns. It proceeds to aerial combat a bit reminiscent of Gradius, further demonstrating that even when criminals fire, their weapons are no match for Batman's Batwing, even when piloted by a Batman impostor. The big finale here shows that as evil as the Joker is, he like all others cannot withstand rocket grenades indefinitely.

This game is one of those grappling hook games, with which Batman can just swing through areas quickly. Much of the improvement comes from bunnybathopping Batman's way through levels and somewhat improved boss fights.

In this version, the player plays as the Battletoad Zitz on a quest to rescue the other two Toads, Rash and Pimple, from the Dark Queen. This game has only 9 stages, as opposed to 12 in the NES version. However, unlike the NES version of the game, there are no warps, and there is no two-player option. There are also fewer time-saving glitches. That doesn't stop Cardboard, though, from beating up tons of enemies and completing the game very quickly.

This is 34 seconds faster than the previous version due to better boss fights, some new strategies and more optimization.

The gameplay is much more interesting though. The author fully utilizes the ability to switch between the two characters on the fly. Weapons are fired very precisely, and some interesting glitching is used to skip parts of the first two levels.

This run is an improvement of 2:17.88 minutes over the previous movie. The improvement comes from more optimization, different routes, and better lag management.
