| Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (2005), the first installment of Castlevania on Nintendo DS, is a direct sequel to GBA hit Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. Like its predecessor, after finishing the game, you can choose to ignore pretty-boy Soma Cruz and instead play as Julius Belmont. Unfortunately, it seems that Julius's skills have waned a bit since his last appearance. Yoko Belnades and Alucard easily pick up the slack, though. | ||

| "YOU CAN'T HIT ME!" Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, the third game in the series for the DS, takes a different direction from its direct predecessors in that it is more of a stage-based game, similar to the earliest entries in the series, rather than the "Metroidvania"-style first established by Symphony of the Night. This run plays as Albus, only available as a character after the player has cleared the game as Shanoa. As such, this run starts from SRAM; the movie generating it, a test-run of the game as Shanoa by gocha, is available here. | ||

| Like many Castlevania games, Portrait of Ruin has extra alternate play modes available after completing the primary quest. In this case, you get to play as Richter Belmont and Maria Renard, using a dual character system very similar to the main quest. Richter and Maria blaze a path of destruction through the castle, pacifying foes with a combination of crosses, doves and other wonderful things. Complex multiple-character motion is used to move as quickly as possible; see the author's comments for an in depth explanation. | ||

| Those who greatly dislike that Aria of Sorrow's main character isn't related to the Belmont clan whatsoever can safely relax, because the powerhouse known as Julius Belmont enters the stage in the relatively short run of this Castlevania installment.
Julius is only available to those who have completed the main quest, but unlike Soma Cruz, Belmont can't go through walls or use other fancy tricks like that. Being very upset about it, he hops around the castle madly, producing almost inhuman sounds with every jump.
This is an improvement of 3.38 seconds over the previous publication, primarily due to new strategies in the Headhunter fight.

| This is a really, really fast TAS through Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance played with Maxim, who is only available after the game is beaten once. Most of the game is glitched through by being stuck in different walls, so it's hard to explain what happened in this run; see it for yourself.
This is a 1 frame improvement over the previous run by gstick.
If you like this run but have a craving for more Maxim action, be sure to check out the Maxim warpless run.

| Castlevania, again, only this time played with Maxim and without glitching through walls and completing the game intended, unlike the glitch-warped run. What constitutes as intended in this run is debatable, since Maxim zooms through the castle faster than Sonic on espresso, and sends shurikens ripping through bosses before they realize they can attack you.

| Super Mario Bros. Deluxe is the Game Boy Color version of the original Super Mario Bros. It was released in 1999. In addition to the standard game, it features a challenge mode which is available after beating the game. In this movie, gameplay starts after having beaten the game and having collected 100,000 points to unlock the "You vs. Boo" mode. Mario must race Boo through several worlds which have been modified to make them more interesting in a race. This movie improves on the previous one by 0.65 seconds due to better menu manipulation and routes. | ||

| Sonic's gone to plaid in the latest TAS by marzojr. It starts from a savestate to take advantage of Hyper Sonic from the beginning of the game. (For more details, see the note below and the run's comments.)
WARNING: The awesomeness of Hyper Sonic may damage your eyes or trigger seizures in susceptible people.
Note: This movie begins from a save state from the end of regular mode in order to access Hyper Sonic from the beginning of the game. There is no other way to access it outside of a hack. We normally do not accept movies which begin from a save state. To download a savestate for this movie, use this link for Gens version 11a or this link for Gens version 11b. | James Bond Jr. is a 1991 video game developed by Eurocom for NES. The world’s greatest scientists have disappeared and now it’s up to James Bond Jr. to rescue them! Intelligence reports indicates that your old enemy SCUM Lord has imprisoned them on his island fortress in the Caribbean. You head out on four dangerous missions to save the scientists and thwart SCUM Lord’s plans!
In this game version, feos uses all available items to speed up, managing their amounts very precisely, takes damage boosts to cross gaps and reach tops, ignoring normal elevators, and abuses the hell out of his lifebar. James Jr. is a brave Bond!
This movie also features the new .FM3 format, that is supposed to be watched in TASEditor, because it contains detailed comments on every tiny run trait. You can play around with branches included in the movie as well. See the submission explanation on how to handle all that. | ||

| An ultra-powerful gigantic mechadroid that can take one hit before exploding into confetti. Pah. This video uses a password to go directly to the second, harder version of the game. Note that the password shown on screen is not the one actually accepted by the game - the password is entered so fast the graphic function glitches. Another (more useful) glitch is that you can stand on spikes and other sorts of materials which ultra-powerful gigantic mechadroids have a natural weakness against if you jump all the time. The fireball form used for the first few levels more or less grants invulnerability when used constantly, as well as being a strong offensive weapon. It is not very effective against the sixth boss, so the author switches to a better projectile weapon before that. This switch entails that the rematches against the earlier bosses are slower, but the improvement on the sixth boss makes up for it. Please note that the AVI has been replaced with an updated MP4, this file provides both size and quality benefits over the former one. | ||

| Some longlegged dude has had his future wife kidnapped by Ku Klux Klan wannabe space aliens. Between the levels they taunt him by showing pictures of her in risqué positions on wide-screen TV, while dancing in front of it (We wish we were making this up, but NES games can be pretty weird sometimes). The author uses a password to get the hardest difficulty, thus not having to finish the game twice. The author also improves on the previous run by about 51 seconds. | ||

| The second quest of The Legend of Zelda is what you get by having completed the game once. It is more difficult than the first quest. In this movie, the authors enter ZELDA as the player's name to start the 2nd quest without having to complete the game first. This movie is 4 minutes and 13.6 seconds faster than the previous movie by Sleepz. The authors provide detailed explanations of the time savings in their submission text. | ||

| Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is the first installment of the Castlevania series on PSX, and was the very first PSX TAS to be published. Follow the quest of Richter (playable after you beat the game once) and see how he glitches and speeds through the castle. If you like fast sliding, dashing, uppercutting, and using precipitation to defeat bosses, you'll love this run. In order to see a "full" run of the game, see the Alucard version. | ||

| Not wanting to be outdone by Mega Man, Bass takes a shot at saving the world from Roboenza. Dr. Wily won't know what hit him. This is the site's second published Wii run, and is of the same game as the first. Diggidoyo again shows his expertise at the Mega Man series, this time utilizing Bass's speed and powerful weaponry to finish 5:24.11 faster than Mega Man. The in-game completion time reads 15:16. | ||
